Madani: CFLPA Recommends Strike Vote To Members
gbill2004 replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Exactly. Huge progress was made he last two days. I expect a maximum of a few days of practice to be missed. Guys in the suits just want their long weekend. I expect a deal to be hammered out mid next week. -

The problem with Judy's last election campaign is that she told the truth. Katz did not. -

He probably means the Grey Cup resulted in a $150 million economic impact for Sask. -

You 20 somethings, man. Just because a guy is in his 60's you think he can't coach or has energy? What did you expect? A guy using a walker or in a wheelchair? Your day will come soon enough. I've seen 35 & 40 year olds in such bad shape they walk like they're 85. It is sad. He's 71. -

I think Wylie has troubles moving around. He stood in the same spot on the field all practice yesterday. -
Where are you seeing an all import OL? At most we'll have 2 import OLs as starters. All the import OL does not mean an all import OL Thanks. I mis-read the post.

Taylor Renaud with a beauty deep ball catch. Willy still struggling with accuracy. O'Shea yelled at Kemp to go get the ball after he dropped an intermediate throw. -

A few early observations: Mario Urita is huge. Towers over guys who are 6'3". Not the greatest hands though; dropped a few short yard passes. But it's early. Goossen lining up on the defensive side of the ball, opposite the centre in some early drills. Maybe Wylie is just getting him used to the extra yard from a different perspective. Goossen now taking reps at centre. O'Shea walking around observing for the most part. Spent some time with the special teams early on. Now he's with the offense. Buck throwing 20 yard passes to his RBs. Wow does Marve ever have some zip on the ball! Kevin Smith is here. -
Morley at running back? Interesting. He'll be the 'Thunder' to Ford's 'Lightning'!

All the breaks today are probably so Cohon can keep hitting the tanning salon. -

I'll be there tonight and Friday. -
Three on the OL, 2 WRs, and looks like 2 on D. If we can start 4 NI OLs then only one on D. Looks like I was wrong about a NI safety and NI DB.

He basically treats taxpayer dollars as his own personal funding for his toys like vacation homes in Phoenix, his baseball team etc. Lots of scandals and criminal investigations with Katz. He's really lucky Rob Ford exists to take most of the national attention away from himself. -
@evangill5: Happy to be back with the @umbisons this season. And for those out there who believe this was the plan all along? Not at all..

This is just MLSE trying to get some extra government funding.

My guess is the Bombers are starting the succession planning process for Glenn January.

I'm not a huge fan of Asper, but I have no problem with Brock Bulbuck. Atomic are you sure about those term dates? I thought Aspers time on the BOD was up soon. -

Bombers negotiate Transit game day discount

Actually, David Asper and Brock Bulbuck spent $500,000 of the Bombers' money to maintain full control over the Board. Shame on the BOD for allowing their personal issues to cost the club this much money. So you think it was a good idea to allow Sammy to abuse his power and force one of his (unqualified as he has no connections to the City of Winnipeg) buddies onto the Bombers BOD, in exchange for $500,000 in taxpayer dollars? Okay. What difference does it make??? If they get someone from the City of Winnipeg, it is still going to be one of Sam Katz's friends. You know, since he is the Mayor of the city? All this is, is the Board of Directors pissing money down the drain because the three guys in charge can't allow someone else with money and influence onto their Board. So you think the BOD should just be spineless and play into Sammy's criminal game? The BOD recommended 3 individuals with the City of Winnipeg, based on their position within the City and their qualifications. Sammy has ignored the Bombers on those recommendations. Thankfully Sammy's only got a few months left. -
