  1. When Edmonton takes our OL scraps (Sorensen) to upgrade their OL, that's a sign we could be better than them.
  2. North end zone is a good party place and close to the Rum Hut and another bar.
  3. No mistake. It's just a ratio thing. O'Shea said he expected Maher to get picked up. Not very hard to be an upgrade over Palardy.
  4. I'd love to see Dan Knapp suit up at RB.
  5. Really? How do you come to that conclusion? Based on stuff he's said on twitter before. But I could be wrong.
  6. Pretty sure he's talking about women in his life...
  7. Well the home team has won the last 3 GCs... Good point. That means we'll be the favourites next year!
  8. I find it hilarious that Vegas, or one of the big gambling sites predicted BC as the favourites to win the Grey Cup this year.
  9. Thought I read that Will Ford returned to practice today? As long as he's healthy we'll be fine.
  10. @DarrinBauming: Tailback Paris Cotton will need a few weeks to recover from a "tweaked knee" suffered in Calgary, according to Mike O'Shea. #Bombers
  11. Here's mine: Calgary Saskatchewan Winnipeg BC Edmonton
  12. I like: @CJOBSports: #Bombers DL Bryant Turner lining up at FB on goal line offence #TheFridge #DaBears
  13. I used to think that, but Kelly has impressed me this preseason and in practice. I think he deserves to make the team and will contribute this season.
  14. With Blake now gone, what's the plan at long snapper?
  15. From Penton in today's Winnipeg Sun: It appears Brian Brohm is in the running to be the most popular man in Manitoba, also known as the Bombers’ backup quarterback. The 28-year-old from Louisville, Ky., has moved past Max Hall on Winnipeg’s depth chart and is now running the second team offence behind starter Drew Willy. Brohm had a better pre-season game than Hall on Saturday night, and he’s looking much more comfortable in offensive co-ordinator Marcel Bellefeuille’s offence than he did at the beginning of camp. “I feel like things are coming along well,” Brohm said today after practice. “I feel good about where I’m at. I still have a lot of improvements to make, but I do feel good about the progress I’ve made so far. I’m just going to keep my head down and keep working hard.” Brohm has had a wild football ride over the years to Winnipeg, including an appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated as a Grade 11 student, a star-studded career at his hometown university, a couple of failed NFL stints and a stop in the now-defunct United Football League for which he’s not sure if he’s been completely paid. So he definitely knows better than to assume something will happen. Now he waits for something to happen before he believes it. “You can only control what you can control,” he said. “I’ve learned that throughout the process. It’s just a waste of time to worry about what else is going on out there, what might happen. Just focus on what you have in front of you, the practice ahead of you, the game ahead of you, and let everything else work itself out.” Brohm, whom the Bombers acquired from Hamilton for a conditional draft pick earlier this year, comes from a sporting family that is well known in the Louisville era. His older brothers, Jeff and Greg, and his dad, Oscar, all played for the Cardinals, and his mom and sister were multi-sport athletes as well. As a result, Brohm knows nothing else than to play football for as long as he can. It’s ingrained in his soul. “I want to play as long as I can,” he said. “As long as this body holds up and as long as there’s a coaching staff and a front office that will let me play, I want to keep on playing.”
  16. You have a really whiny voice... Really...are you serious?
  17. I was at practice last week but am back at work this week
  18. You're awesome...thanks!
  19. I am now activated there, so I can ask CalgaryRiderfan to activate you. What's your username on there? That would be great...thanks! Same username...gbill2004.
  20. Canadian vs import.Crappy vs exceptional.Start a Canadian somewhere else. where? CFL rosters are always built by slotting in your top canadians then filling imports around them and given the injuries we've had Thomas is one of the best we have.I personally think we would be better off with 6 on offence and one at field corner again, where? 3 receivers? So that if we have a guy get hurt we're using the scrapings of the league to field enough guys? On the OL so our qbs can get hammered game in and game out again and god help them if there is an injury there? RB? We don't have a good enough RB to do that.... We could simply go 4 NI OL, and if there was an injury, then we could go 3 NI receivers. None of the import receivers really stood out anyway. \If there is to many injuries to OL and receivers we could then go back to rotating 2 on defence. I used to be a huge Morely basher, but he's fairly adequate at RG. I noticed a huge difference last season when he came back from injury in the OL play. I just think Anderson Getting the majority of snaps beside Turner could be really special. They could really form a good cohesion and dominate OL's together all year. I guess another way of putting it is this, the gap from Goosen/Morely to Morely/Knapp isn't nearly as big as the gap from Thomas to Anderson IMO. If Goosen truly isn't Ready, JFG looks pretty darn good at rec. and Renaud and Carter would be adequate depth for the first while until Goosen is ready. I suspect they will start the season with Morely at Center and Thomas at Tackle, but I also don't suspect it will last very long. Good post. I like your logic here.
  21. I registered there as well but cannot post...same as the OP.
  22. That was classic!
  23. Canadian vs import.Crappy vs exceptional.Start a Canadian somewhere else. Anderson will see lots of time in the rotation.
  24. Canadian vs import.
  25. O'Shea has said the starting DL will consist of a Peach, Vega, Turner and Thomas.
