  1. Wade said it'll be organized and fans will be given instructions during the game on how it'll work. He also said there will be a limit to the number of people allowed on the field at a time.
  2. I watched an interview with Wade Miller today and he explained a few initiatives the Bombers have done to improve fan experience and traffic outflow after games: - Allow fans on the field after games to get autographs etc - Serve alcohol in the north end zone an hour after games. Includes an enhanced designated driver program (free pop all game for DDs). Park and Ride busses will still be available. - Free appetizers in the Pinnacle club an hour after the game, for premium seat owners. - 10 minute post game show with Kim Babij on the video boards followed by a DJ playing music an hour after the game. - New Sky Bars on each end of the 200 level. Concrete has been removed from these ends of the 200 level so that fans can watch the game on the video boards while drinking/socializing. This should decrease traffic on the lower level concourse. - Wade said there will be a Rum Hut 2.0 but didn't say where it'll be. - More loge seating - 5 new charging stations for smartphones All seem like good ideas!
  3. Is that Paul Friesen's personal site?
  4. Penton is pretty connected. I consider him very credible.
  5. This reminds me of the Bo Smith pickup last year.
  6. Romby is 34 years old and his numbers last year were terrible. Pass.
  7. @PentonKirk: There are rumblings the #Bombers are going to work out WR Romby Bryant, who was released by the #Argos over the weekend.
  8. Does to me, as that means we could see Goossen out there. As for the CFL cuts thread itself, I'm hoping Walters a& Co. are at least looking into some players, standing pat with our roster is not an option. But then who's your #6 OL? Howard I would think, or depending on the seriousness of the injuries, Morley, Stevenson, Swiston and then there's the current FA market. You'd want a Canadian backup in case of an injury to one of the Canadian starters.

  10. Ian Wild?Wild will be rotating with Kuale at MLB. Does/can Kuale also play DE? Yes.
  11. I believe it was taken down.
  12. The thing with Peach, and I'd definitely like to see Walters go after him is that no GM likes it when another GM takes a player off their PR. Sure it can be done, but it can created strained relationships. Walters is a new GM and he needs to maintain good relationships with all GMs, which it appears so far he has done. I'm sure this is also going to factor into Walters thought process when considering what to do with Peach. Might be a better move to offer up a 3rd or 4th round draft pick for Peach instead. And remember, if we take Peach, the player has to agree to come to Winnipeg, and then we need to find a spot on our roster for him, which means someone else comes off. Stamps can do the same if they want to keep Peach, just add him to their roster.
  13. I wonder if he could also play on the DL? His size would suggest he could be a hybrid DL/LB.
  14. @CFL_News: RT .@mitchrosset: #Bombers have added national LB Kyle Norris to its practice roster #CFL @DarrinBauming: #Bombers fill up their final practice roster spot with the addition of 6'3" 235lb National LB Kyle Norris. He was 2013's 24th-overall pick.
  15. Sorensen is on the Eskimos 6 game IR.
  16. Let's hope the Bombers don't **** the bed while they're here.
  17. Awesome exposure for the CFL! Here's today's article with Marc Trestman: http://mmqb.si.com/2014/06/23/marc-trestman-canada-week-guest-monday-morning-qb/.

  23. Overview Meggett split time for much of his career at Maryland where he shared the backfield with some talented backs and didn't start significantly until his senior year. A team captain after three years of playing sparingly, Meggett was an obvious leader for the Terps and carried the load for Maryland as a senior. He is short but thick, and he has some traits that make him intriguing as a late-round prospect in this year's draft. Strengths Meggett packs a lot of weight on his frame. He does many things right out of the backfield and thrives running between the tackles. He has good footwork and vision to avoid messes in tight spaces when running up the middle, and he is able to find the small holes enough to get a crease and be productive. He is somewhat reminiscent of last year's prospect, Jacquizz Rodgers of Oregon State, as they both rely on vision and small size to "hide" from the defense until they get a seam. And they have enough elusiveness and power to make a defender miss at the second level. Weaknesses Meggett is undersized and hasn't taken a large pounding in the collegiate ranks. With barely over 10 games started in his career, it remains to be seen if he can handle the pounding that comes with running between the tackles in the NFL. He is unreliable catching the ball out of the backfield, where he struggled catching the ball all year. He has a decent burst to gain an edge out of the backfield or turn upfield, but he is strictly a short-yardage, change-of-pace back at this point.
