  1. McManus and Govea must be sh*tting themselves these days.
  2. Umm, no. His history showed exactly what kind of OC he was and last year just demonstrated more of the same. You hire mediocrity, don't be surprised when you get mediocrity. MB has been and always will be mediocre. A smart football mind recognizes this. Might that have been a reason his was available mid-season in 2013?He was still getting paid by Hamilton at the time and was on a tour of NFL camps to further his knowledge of offences. Yea, I've heard that excuse before. Let me just say that if he was a top notch coordinator, he would not have been on the market long. Look at Richie Hall and others. You get to have time off because no one really thinks you'd be an upgrade over what they already have. Except for us, we managed to hire an OC so bad that MB was actually a step up and then we decided (incredibly) that he was good enough to keep. It's sad when mediocre is good enough instead of "good enough until we can get a real OC" Bellefuille was coaching in Omaha in 2012. And look at Lapo and others. Lapo was considered a pretty good OC but wants to be a HC so he has turned down OC positions offered since he was fired here. And that explains why MB was willing to come here mid season as a "consultant"? Not really understanding why people seem to be trying to find excuses for why he was out of the CFL except for the obvious and simple reason: No one wanted him because they believed they had better. Not because MB was excited to be coaching in arena league or was holding out for a HC position. In 2013 he was on his sabbatical touring NFL camps when Wade called him.

  4. Bradbury worked out in the offseason and is looking buff these days.
  5. It is, but I believe Dressler signed a 4 year contract.
  6. They will bump Shell back to the bench and move Leggett back to safety. I suspect this week though Wild will be in the IR. Not that easy...who plays SAM? I can't see Bass, Hurl, Simmons or Wild playing SAM.
  7. We're going to the famous 2-5 defensive scheme
  8. @wild_ian: Bags are packed. See you tomorrow Winnipeg!
  9. Good point. He might cut Drew Willy and bring back Justin Goltz as starting QB.
  10. @JDunk12: Free agent Canadian LB Henoc Muamba has a workout scheduled with the #GreenBay #Packers on Tuesday, per sources. #NFL #CFL
  11. Lawless says Henoc has an NFL workout tomorrow and that Ottawa is now involved in the Henoc sweepstakes.
  12. Walters sure is active after the rumors came out yesterday. Wonder what this means, if anything...
  13. Nice to see Walters is still doing his job in light of the Guelph rumors.
  14. And Subway restaurants in Winnipeg would see their profits skyrocket.
  15. Meatloaf wasn't wrong. Just we are 1 outta 3 and that is bad.Does Meatloaf have any experience as a GM, HC or OC?
  16. Taman looks like a homeless bum, but he's a pretty smooth talker...media loves him.
  17. Lawless was on TSN 1290 talking about Walter situation this morning. He endorsed John Murphy, but said Murphy is a little rough around the edges, but if you could pair him with someone a little smoother, it'd be a great combo.
  18. Today wasn't MB's fault. Today was on the players. Sure the receivers didn't help but did you watch the play calling. MB doesn't get a mulligan just because the players played like their OC. Utter crap. I thought the play calling was fine today. Problem was the players. The players couldn't execute, made too many mistakes. I do think there's a leadership problem. You seem to be the only oneThat's cool

Watch the game again... bombers biggest gains were on broken plays or second effort by Marshall. Teams are waiting for the Denmark fly and the hitch screen. They know that MB doesn't move the pocket. Keep building the pressure as the game progresses and the bombers will break. agreed. Hitch plays, runs up the middle.. 23 of 48 for Nichols, 48 fn passes. UNREAL. The play calling is so predictable and vanilla. One good half vs the worst D in the league does not save MB's ass. Play calling wasn't why we lost. Play calling was fine; not terrible, not great. We lost because of special teams and players not executing and making stupid mistakes/dropped balls.
