  1. We can all agree to disagree then .
  2. I don't see any pending free agent NI OGs who would be significant upgrades over Greaves/Neufeld/Goossen.Wojt or Eppele could potentially be major upgrades but there are injury concerns. Of course there are injury concerns with Neufeld as well.Everything considered I group those 3 guys together. Neufeld is a very good OG when healthy. You'r very much over rating Neufeld if you think he's in the same class as a healthy Wojt or Eppele. And I think you're underrating Neufeld.
  3. Marcel Desjardins quote from October 2014: "We've got four or five guys (without contracts). One of the players is (injured offensive lineman) Joe Eppele. I don't think he'll play again. He was in Hamilton the other day. He's 30 pounds lighter than he was. I think he's moving on from football. For us, it would be too risky to re-sign him anyway. There are a couple of other players we'd like to re-sign but we'll see how that plays out."

  5. Sounds good to me...I'm all for making an opponent weaker.
  6. @robvanstone: Indianapolis Colts agree to terms with Ben Heenan.

  8. No interest in Brian Peters from the Riders? He's a guy I could see us signing because of his ties to Hall.
  9. Who would want to live in Baltimore? Its like Regina only with more people, drug dealers and drive-by shootings. Read my previous posts...he's not going to Baltimore.
  10. @PentonKirk: Sorry folks. My Heenan-to-Ravens info appears to have been premature. Will keep you posted. #Riders #CFL #NFL
  11. Interesting because Penton reported Baltimore.
  12. @FarhanLaljiTSN: Ben Heenan has made a decision on where he will be signing. Either Indy or San Diego. Received 5 offers.
  13. @CFL: THIS JUST IN: @MTLAlouettes re-sign RB Brandon Rutley and add RB Jordan Hall. More to come. #CFL
  14. I believe Brett Jones was trying out for a few NFL teams, or at least had aspirations. If he doesn't catch on with an NFL team, there were rumors he could end up with the Riders.
  15. Would be nice to have two legit long-snappers though. Look what happened last year when Wild got injured...cost us about a TD every game while Wild was out because of poor long-snapping. I wonder if the Bombers have interest in Jordan Matechuk...interesting he hasn't re-signed with BC yet.
  16. Nice list Mike. Makes me wonder why Bryant hasn't yet re-signed with the Stamps. Anyone know his situation?? Not sure I agree we have a need at RG. I expect Neufeld and Goossen (and possibly Morley) to battle for that spot this year, so I don't really see a need for Eppele or Wojt. I see our biggest needs at LT and RT...right now I see Daniels and Tyler in those two spots, with the hope of obviously upgrading through free agency or trades. And I just can't see Nik Lewis in a Bomber uniform. I suspect his playing career is over.
  17. I'm surprised you haven't heard of it. Rider fans here, at TEP and every other CFL site where they post brought it up every time someone said anything about Heenan testing FA. Yep it's been common knowledge for a while.
  18. 2 NI receivers, 3 OL. Emery at LB and the 7th NI starter is....???? 3 NI receivers. Watson, Bagg and Getz.
  19. While it really sucks the Bombers won't get Heenan, the point I think we're missing is that this is a positive, in that it weakens our biggest rival.
  20. That would really solidify the offensive line.
  21. I pretty much guarantee we sign more free agents this offseason. Picard might be the biggest name, but there will be others.
  22. @AdamSchefter: Colts make it official, announce agreement with former CFL standout WR Duron Carter, son of Cris Carter.
  23. Taman's trade for Watson makes more sense now, considering the ratio.
  24. Competition? There's none left. There's still the draft and possible trades, all of which have gotten tighter. I meant free agents.
