Kuale on Twitter is blaming his being released on "football politics". Guy just doesn't get it.

I just watched Taman's interview from earlier today on the Dressler signing. Taman said Dressler's cap hit is pretty even year to year, and a little lighter in the first year. This contradicts what Penton is saying.
-
I'm thinking probably safety, although at 210 he's big enough to play wil. I wonder if there's any thoughts of moving Leggett to sam & putting Newman at safety? I know on riderfans they've made a big deal about Newman wanting to play safety while he was there. He's listed as a db on our roster page, for whatever that's worth... Newman was playing LB in Bombers TC last year, but Etch was DC then

The Riders are planning on playing with no QB or OL this season. Just a running back and a bunch of overpaid WRs.
-
So $1 million total?Yes and with committing $400,000 to Dressler for this season, Taman is still saying he will be aggressive in trying to sign Heenan.I wonder if the signing bonuses are paid out over the life of the contract, like $50,000 per season.Nope. I asked Penton and he said one time payment to take advantage of Canadian tax laws. Wow. That's gotta take the Riders out of the Heenan sweepstakes. $400,000 committed to Dressler in 2015.

Good call. I forgot about Newman.

I wonder if Briggs is ready to contribute beyond special teams?

"very aggressive" might mean throwing things around the office if Heenan doesn't sign.Yep. Taman and O'Day will have a few beers, take their shirts off, and have a good old wrestling match in Taman's office. You just spoiled tomorrow's breakfast with that image. You're welcome

According to CFL.ca, Marcellus Bowman is a pending FA. I'd be very happy to have him return here if it panned out that way. Good call. He's only 28 years old too. I'd just be a little worried starting 3 LBs with little to no CFL experience.

Odell Willis just extended by the Eskimos.

With Kuale now gone, we could have an almost entire new set of linebackers this year. Wild gone, Sears uncertain, Dunn still unsigned and now Kuale. I wonder if Washington is being pegged as a LB?

http://www.winnipegsun.com/2015/01/29/bombers-deal-cory-watson-to-saskatchewan Yes very interesting. I guess Wikipedia needs to update their 2015 draft page. I'll contact Wikipedia's CFL department - I'm sure they'll get right on it.Not sure if that's a smart ass comment or not. Looks like Wikipedia is correct now. Had Winnipeg picking 20th yesterday but now showing Hamilton. -

I kinda have a feeling the Riders might be trading Watson out East. -

After yesterday's trade, Bombers have picks 2, 11, 15 and 20. Looks like we had two picks in the 3rd round and one of those pick's (26 overall) was traded to the Riders in the Watson trade. -

No one seems to have a clue on what's going on with Goodrich. -

From a 2014 mock draft: Kris Bastien, REC, Concordia: Bastien has a pro-ready body, but scouts have questioned his toughness. He has a nice size (6-foot-2 and a half), strength (20 bench press reps) and speed (4.63 in the 40) combo. The Bombers traded Jade Etienne in the off-season and could use a fresh non-import talent at receiver. -
I guess similar to Buck being the RB coach.

Bombers trade Cory Watson to Saskatchewan

But why does Walters have to replace Watson now? Bombers played half the season last year without Watson and when he did play he didn't do much. JFG filled in admirably. Cause we need to have more than 2 NI receivers who can reasonably play next season, special teams too. Carter & Bastien as of today. We spent most of last season with Carter as the 3rd Canadian WR. -

The deal was there to make now so Walters made it. Exactly, I like the trade. Watson's a free agent this season and said he wanted to be closer to home so he was gone in a year. My point is JFG is no slouch and can step right in for Watson.
