I've now heard from a few different sources that Miles isn't a good communicator. This hire does concern me a little.

Based on Walters most recent presser, it sounds like he needs to trim some money from the OL budget as rumors are that we now have close to $800,000 invested in the OL. The logical o-lineman to get the axe is Steve Morley as he's 34 years old, near the end of his career, has been replaced by Picard at center and likely has a sizeable cap hit. I see a few options: 1. Outright cut him. This is what I think will happen, based on Walters comments. 2. Try to trade him for a mid-late round draft pick. Morley still has value as a Canadian and with his versatility on the OL, with maybe a year or two left on his career. Teams like Ottawa, BC or the Riders may have some interest. The thing is that Morley has deep roots here with his family settled in Winnipeg. If he were traded, he might just call it a career and retire. 3. Stash on the 9 game IR. I don't see a spot in the starting 5 for Morley right now. But with the amount of injuries we suffered on the OL last year, Morley could carry value to the Bombers later on in the season. He'd be a very nice insurance policy for a team hosting the Grey Cup at home this year. If it was my decision, I'd keep him on the 9 game IR as an insurance policy; this wouldn't count against the cap, unless he came off the IR. Morley can play every position on the OL so could step in for any injury. What do you think will happen with Steve Morley this year?

I'd offer Glenn a base salary of $120-140k plus incentives of $5k per start.

Scouting report on Adams from 2011: Darvin Adams School: Auburn Position: WR Bio: Two-year starter who led the team in receiving as a junior with 52/963/7 and put up a career-best 60/997/10 as a sophomore. Positive: Explosive receiver who stretches the field and can take it the distance. Quickly releases off the line, displays a burst of speed, and can turn it on in a single step. Sells all his moves, adjusts to the errant throw, and looks the ball into his hands. Possesses effective eye/hand coordination. Plays with body control, makes difficult over-the-shoulder catches. Consistently gets downfield behind defenders and plays faster than his forty time. Gets vertical and fights to make the difficult catch. Elusive, gets separation from defenders, and uses his frame to shield away opponents. Quickly gets into breaks and runs sharp routes. Negative: Does a bit of unnecessary body catching and does not always catch the ball cleanly. Loses out in battles. Does not show strength running after the catch. Times poorly in the forty. Analysis: Adams made an immediate impact once he stepped in with the starting team as a sophomore and has proven to be a big play receiver who makes tough catches down the field. He possesses the skills, both athletic and football, to be a productive third receiver in the NFL and should see action as a rookie this fall.

Some Riderfans say they have hard numbers on Sam Hurl's contract. Apparently he got $120k in base/signing bonus plus up to $18k in playing time bonuses (I'd assume $1k per start). So he can make up to $138k if he starts every game this year.
