I'm with you all the way (i.e., Bombers win everything) but I think MTL beats Edm and then goes into Hamilton and beats them. Just seems like a story book season setting up for KJ sans the Grey Cup win. 🙂

Tires kicked, I've moved on. -
Byfuglien contemplating NHL future
HardCoreBlue replied to captaincanuck12's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
How about kicking the tires on a guy like Seabrook who has been a healthy scratch in Chicago? Too old, no good, too expensive or veteran presence with skill, good short term pickup that we wouldn't have to sell the house to get? -
Byfuglien contemplating NHL future

I guess what I'm curious about, and I probably missed it somewhere on the worldwide web, buy what top 6 dman are on the block right now we could make a trade pitch for? -
Another way to headline this game is @17to85 @DallasEakins.

True for some athletes for sure however I'm seeing more and more headlines highlighting how teams are saddled with these large longer term contracts but not getting the benefits like they use too. Bobby Ryan as a most recent example. I would say freaks of nature players like Chara are still more exception than the norm. When a player is in his prime we are seeing some teams willing to give said player longer term contracts knowing down the road it will be a risk. It could be in some cases GM's living in the right now turning their head away from the future consequences of giving out a long term contract. Nature of the business I guess.

It appears this is becoming standard where if you want to lock up a player during his prime you also have to pay for his twilight years i.e.the Lucic years.
-
Man, Teemu Selanne looks good. What every professional athlete hopes to have when their careers are over, i.e., all their faculties in order.
-
Especially Petermann imo. He earned his stripes and isn't being rewarded. Stands on the sidelines missing out on important reps for his development.
-
I'd put Derel Walker in that category as well.
-
If that wasn't a high stick, I don't know what is. I guess your stick has to be straight up according to who ever made that ruling.
-
Unbelievable. Does the stick have to be at a 90 degree angle to get a high stick?
-
Our pk really sucks.
-
We better score on this pp because we know 3 penalties are coming are way soon.
-
It appears Rittich has as well. First goalie to flinch loses.
-
I hope he makes the night. 50 50

Brian Burke looks so angry lol.

So who gets the home playoff games? Predictions?

Bomber site Bomber site Bomber site. No one cares. What next, two leaf fans talking to each other on the Jet forum. -
HH to Mercy Maston as well for having a cool football name.

Your amusement is misguided. I'm not using hindsight. Like I said on that particular non call that flag should have come out of his back pocket automatically. Whether it's that hit on ZC or other plays, it's my opinion that MOS and his spotters have struggled throughout the season calling challenges. Facts show that. Look at this game, the play he actually challenged was weird. Without even knowing, my guess is we are near the bottom of successful challenges compared to the eight other teams. That tells me that maybe his plan on how/when to challenge plays needs tweaking.
-
His plan stinks. 🙂
-
McGuire sure did make a nice play on the winning field goal tho, high snap, brought it down nicely, turned the laces, for the win.
-
The answer to all your questions is yup. With respect, throwing his challenge flag right after the non call would not have cost our team in a major way. In fact I would argue it wlould have helped regardless of outcome. No where have I said no thinking needed for challenge flags but MOS and his handlers have shown throughout the season, for the most part they aren't very god at this challenge thing.

This is a Bomber site yea? 1. Bombers 2. Bombers 3. Bombers -
Like i said during the game, MOS still needs to throw that flag automatically right after the no call to send a message he has QB's back. I could care less if the challenge didn't work. I like MOS but him and his handlers have consistently struggled in using the challenge flag throughout the season for the most part. They way over think when to use it. Look how they finally used it this game, weird. And I wish right after that shoulder to head hit on ZC there was more of a response from his teammates on the field i.e. getting in the grill of the ****** bag in red who did it.
