  1. I say this with a totally unbiased, cleansed pallet. Rider fans since the mid 00's have become the most repugnant fans in North American sports. They used to be the lovable losers of the league and were a fun group to get in a rivalry with. They had a small, ever so small taste of success, and they've become insufferable ass clowns for it. It's like someone growing up in poverty winning a scratch lottery ticket for 50k. They develop a weird sense of arrogance. They're still trash to their core, but think something is owed to them. Go to RF.com and look at the typical post about Winnipeg. They **** on Winnipeg, in full view of the city and province they live in. Regina, and Saskatchewan as a whole, is a boring, shitty, cold, ******* wasteland. Everything they make fun of Winnipeg for is 5x worse in Saskatchewan and Regina. If it wasn't so ******* desperately pathetic and troubling to see people so stupid and lacking self awareness, it'd be comical. But these ******* knuckle dragging potatoes get to vote in federal elections and show up to civilized cities outside that thunderdome of a province and shower us with their hillbilly antics. I despise all things Riders, and not because of their on field success. No, they don't really have any to speak of. I despise them because of their inbred, hillbilly, dueling banjo, red neck, racist, ignorant, manure dumping, clueless fans. I wish a pox on their house and hope the Grey Cup doesn't get stained with that taint a province for decades to come.
  2. Well. Turns out I'll go to the game in Calgary after all. That makes 3 live Bomber games for me this season. Been a while since that's happened.
  3. I know it's the first quarter and it's only a few point game, but the mistakes are telling to me, they're indicative of a team that's given up and has no confidence. I hope im wrong
  4. so then why feel good when we win? why watch?
  5. Is it a parade of feeling bad? If so, yes.
  6. Got to say, I feel absolutely no expectations going into tomorrow. Feels great. Bombers win and look amazing? Cool, good job I guess. Bombers get pumped for 50 at home? Yep, not surprised. It's a really shitty feeling having no expectation, and no real emotion for the team. Must be like the average Calgary CFL fan.
  7. It's true. The CFL is at all all time low for quality of team. The Riders in the 90s would likely be a 500 team at best, but right now there's so much garbage in our league they managed to put together a 10 win season so far. It speaks to how bad the quality of the league is that a pretty mediocre team like the Riders are 10-4.
  8. Pretty simple premise, please don't read too much into the question. With all things being equal, unless MOS makes it to the Grey Cup this year, what do you think should happen? Results are private, be honest when you answer.
  9. Say it with me now: O'Shea is the 2nd most tenured coach in the history of the Blue Bombers.
  10. I feel like someone needs to grab you by the head, and, scream into your ear: Michael O'Shea hired, and, is loyal to these coordinators. You can't possibly be serious with this post right?
  11. This is a gamble I can get behind. We had to. Nichols is not coming back, and Streveler is not a CFL Qb. You cant just throw away a whole season when you can gamble on ZC. Tape him up, give him extra padding in his helmet ,and pray to christ he can do something on offence. People jumping in with their negativity need to pipe down.
  12. The late game forced fumble was offside and high hit. I'm not sure how that's missed.
  13. If we don't win out, this will be the 2nd year in a row we've got worse in the standings. Doesn't seem like progress to me.
  14. So the slow drip of Rider arrogance in my personal and work life begins. Texts, hangouts from work google, sigh. Even when I have become numb to what the Bombers to do me as a fan, I still have to get it from these yokels. 4 championships in 100 years and these ass clowns think they're the , what, Steelers? Cowboys? I don't know what to think of all this, in the morning after. I tend to think that this season is basically done with because Streveler is on par with Jennings right now. It's beyond words to say what this season has done to me as a fan. I was so hopeful about the season I planned a road trip to Winnipeg for the Banjo Bowl, we started 5-0, and honestly I think like a lot of you, I thought this was finally the year. Hell, the Grey Cup was even in Calgary. So to say I'm crushed right now, is an understatement and I can probably assume a lot of you reading this are feeling the same way. With a nights rest and a clear head I start to think about next season. I honestly don't know what to do. One of the rebukes of regime change is "who would take over". Saskatchewan is doing just fine with a new head coach, so is Montreal. BC not so much, but even then I would wonder if we played again what would happen. BC looks great lately and may catch Edmonton for a cross over. Maybe. I don't know who's available, and I wish I knew who the next Huff was so I could tell the Bomber brass. I'm at my wits end with this club. I think the easiest thing for a lot of us would be just totally erase expectations and be passionless towards the results. I don't know how to be that kind of fan. When the Bombers win I feel great joy, and when they lose, especially against our rivals, it feels bad. Isn't that what sports is supposed to be? I wonder about that with our guys. Miller, MOS, Walters. Do they feel the sting that we do when the Bombers lose? Or do they shrug it off and go to a fancy little Osborne Village restaurant and toast their "success" as management and to the stability of their positions? I think what we need right now is management who hates to lose, not just love to win. I want someone running this team that when we lose the LDC the way we did this year to go into the locker room and kick over the garbage can. Call out the players for letting it happen and let them know it's unacceptable. Right now it seems like we're coddling our players like misbehaving toddlers. They take a **** in their pants when company is over and instead of spanking them or sending them to bed without supper, we hold them and tell them their special. That their bowel movement is special. It's only October 6th, the team is a lock for a playoff spot, yet we know it's next year season. It's like a zombie movie where someone you love has been bitten and they're still a person for a little while longer. How sad, and what a waste.
  15. I frequently imagine would have been like to have gambled on head coach with a higher ceiling than O'Shea.
  16. I'm saying in the cfl there's no such thing as "cupboards" as we traditionally use that phrase in say the NHL or mlb It's a 9 team league with high turnover.
  17. You can't have it both ways, either Oshea refill the cupboards with the bad team, or it is impossible for a bad team to turn around.
  18. Lots of running. Prob some cute trick plays.
  19. Who hired Lapo? Who hired Hall? Why do people think that throwing the coordinators under the bus as a sacrifice to OSh works? He hired them and is loyal to them. He nearly got himself fired sticking with Drew Willy until he was likely forced to move on. So I wanted to do a little more digging into the record of our illustrious, country club running Head Coach. This is his record as Head Coach of the Bombers: 54 wins 51 losses regular season. 1 Labour day win, 5 losses on Labour day 4 wins, 2 losses in the Banjo Bowl 1 Playoff win, 3 losses Zero trips to the Grey Cup, and of course, zero championships. He's the 2nd longest serving head coach in Winnipeg, and people are afraid we would be, what? Lost without him? What has he delivered? The loyalty that he demonstrates, to a fault, is creating a "losing is ok" country club atmosphere. Now, of course I'm not in the room and this is my best guess but when the team has no consequences for bad play what are we to think? He's a 500 coach with 1 playoff win since 2014. He's not only replaceable, he's culpable. I could hire a Labrador retriever to run the team for a decade and while it would be "stable" it's the results that matter. Oh and can we stop pretending in a 9 team league that there are "cupboards" to be bare? What a stupid excuse. This isn't the NHL where it takes time to build a winner. Good god.
  20. I want a championship. Not empty platitudes. Stability? Give me a break
