We need to win. As was previously stated, by any means necessary.
It's crunch time and we'll see what our boys are made of. Tough to call this game, both are desperate for a W.
With Willy playing, I like our chances.
-
Hahaha so much for him being better than Willy

Well, whoever you blame whether it's that nutjob Glen Johnson or now resigning comish Mark Cohon, someone needs to do their job out there instead of putting up with this referee crap job that's costing teams games and robbing fans of ticket money.
It's ridiculous and the league is coming under fire from me for putting up with this.
Honestly, the biggest WTF this game was "we can't review due to technical difficulties with the command centre". WTF was that about. THAT IS BUSH LEAGUE STUFF.
The CFL IS bush league. I love it, but that doesn't make NOT a bush league.

I know we're free falling already, but another loss and we're nose diving into a mountain.
Here's hoping Sears can make a difference by pounding someone into the turf.
Happy to see Drew starting, but to be honest I wasn't scared with Brohm starting.

My buddy...a radio friend from my Dauphin days... Produced that spot in Edmonton. He didn't write it, but he put it together. He's a rabid, die hard Rider fan from just north of Saskatoon. He loves the damn thing... Super proud of it.
My biggest problem with the damn thing? It says Rider fans are great fans. Bullshit. They're among the biggest bandwagon jumpers of any sports franchise anywhere...
Ahhhhh, Dauphin radio days. Brings me back.

I just don't know why anyone actually listens to celebrities opinions....
Only people as dumb (or dumber) as celebrities give their opinions any merit or worth.
Most celebrities are garbage. They live crap lives. Can't wait for Hollywood to fall into the ocean, and take their corruption and filth with them.

Spanking and discipling a child is fine. When you leave bruises and cuts, you;'re beating the child.
Like Chris Carter said, playing in the NFL is a privilege, not a right. And A.P. doesn't deserve to play. He doesn't even think what he did was wrong. C'mon man! Ray Rice same deal.....doesn't deserve to play.
I wish there was this amount of pressure in the late 90's, and maybe that murderer Ray Lewis wouldn't have been allowed to play. Everytime he speaks about this kind of stuff, he looks guilty. He's not a role model and doesn't deserve what he was, and is, being given.

I find it rather amusing that so many people were saying last season and earlier this season that Ford wasn't any good and the only reason he was named an Eastern All-Star was because other RBs had been injured. And now it's Grigsby's that isn't good and is only leading the rushing stats because of injuries.
One word.......Winnipeg
-
Sometimes can;t stand Winnipeg fans. Nothing is good enough. We have the single best RB in the league this year in Grigsby, and people STILL aren't happy with him. Our oline makes him look bad, but the fact remains he leads the league in numerous stat columns.
Our best RB since Charles. The cuts baby, the cuts he makes!
Grigsby is the best RB in the league?? Are you serious?
As of right now, yes. Stats are for losers I know, but with our oline, he is putting up good numbers.

The CFL East division is such a dog's breakfast that, as odd as it sounds, even Ottawa still has a shot at the playoffs even with their atrocious record.
Better yet, they even have a shot at getting first.
With a 1-9 record. Brutal.
I love the CFL.....but that's bush league. I'm REALLY getting on the one division side of the argument.
-
Aw too bad...advantage us!
Give your head a shake.
Boo hoo. This is advantage Bombers. With two teams losing their starters, we have more of a chance. Injuries suck, but hey, this is Football. There is a bright side for the Blue.
-
At least there's always one thing us Bomber fans can agree on.

-
So much hate for a guy in the top 10 for receiving yards. Despite injuries. Jeez.
It's Winnipeg, you surprised?
-
Moore's too busy make dumbass tweets about the NFL's new domestic violence policy....
Don't tease us who aren't on twitter. Post some please.
-
So wait... who's our ACTUAL backup?
I think it's Max Hall.
Good gawd.
He was cut a long time ago

I really hope certain members of the BOD sit down with Jim for an effective exit interview. When the person that has been their lead financial person is shown the door and the organization has significant debt repayments coming, it should set off some alarm bells. Unfortunately the City doesn't have an appointed person so the City is shut out of the exit interview process. I would expect Vince Barletta and Debbie Metcalfe from the Board to have very detailed discussions with Jim on his way out the door. During a 3-13 season, the previous off field management team grew revenues from $16.7M to $24.2M last year. That management team is all gone now. Yes the new stadium was the driving factor but they did grow corporate revenues in a big way. I doubt very much that Jim was shown the door to save a salary. I think it would have far more to do with future planning and direction inclusive of both future revenue and cost considerations. We have a General Manager, Grey Cup and Vice-President of Entertainment and Events on our senior executive but no other VPs. It looks like Wade has actually been in his position longer than any other member of the Senior Executive. Its clearly Wade's show and for all of us I wish him great success. Best of Luck to Jim and thanks for your dedication and loyalty to the Football Club over some tumultuous times.
If you think the BoD wasn't involved with the restructuring, think again.
I think some were involved but certainly not all. I also don't think it was a restructuring at all. Wade and Jim disagreed and one had to go. Clearly Wade wouldn't be the one going. All Directors should want to know the real story.
Remember Wade's introduction press conference? He said, 'the board is giving me all the power I need to make decision.'
That's awesome....but......this is what Brock said right after, 'yes, but any good President will run those decisions by the board first.'
Not paraphrasing. The board is running this team still. Miller is just business savvy enough to know where to take a deuce.
-
The only thing I'll say regarding the post about it being an old boys club, Miller came in and got rid of some of them "old boys". Not really sure those posts really make sense.
Unless people are referring to the BOD, but the BOD has removed a few older guys and added a few new younger guys and gals for that matter.
Thinks are a changing, for years and years people referred to us as a gong show, Bell might have been a nice guy, Bannon too, Others also but... Times, they are a changing.
I'm fine with whatever decision Miller makes. He knows what he is doing regardless of some pretty obvious personal shots a few posters have taken against him. People talk about Ameet Pall kicking Iso's dog on the other thread, Well apparently Miller has done the same to a few on here too.
It's a business after all.
You mean adding Asper??? That is exactly the old boys club bs from before. Asper needs to get far away from any authority with this team. Forever! That family have been nothing but screw ups since Izzy died.
Adding Asper to the BOD is EXACTLY what I'm talking about.
-
Holy crap, talk about throwing around rumour and innuendo. The anti-Miller crowd is out in full force.
Seems to me changes from the past were in order and it looks like the changes mostly have been positive.
Bell, as COO, has a nice ring to it, but if he's not "in" with the plan, I guess they had to move on.
Miller and Walters seem to be on the same plan long range and goal-wise and that's, at least, a very good start.
What I've also 'figured out' is that winning, also starts with 'W,' and I've already seen proof of that.
Was Miller EVER really liked by fans? And I don't count the people that call into the post-game show.
His best moment as a player was stepping in front of Asper when that idiot went on his hissy fit. But now, he's back on the board. Which makes me shiver..............
-
Jim Bell is a top-notch individual. IMO if he was ever given the full title of team president after Bauer, a lot of pain would have been saved.
I always wondered why Garth got the job instead of him.
Because Garth was an easy target to pin the stadium delays on. That was their plan from the start. Bring in someone and blame the stadium delays on him, then fire him.
-
Never have been, never will be a fan of Wade-hot dog-chaser Miller.
We may have improved on the field but it's still the same ol' boys club at the top.
IMO, Bell is another victim of 'blame the last regime' without actually changing the people who control the club with their dirty little fingers.
-
I'm getting on the ONE division bandwagon.
-
Horrible picture choice.
Hey, if they want to spend money in MB, so be it.....but like many I am a little sick of the Riders.
Grigsby not getting first team practice reps - Cotton to start VS Edmonton

Our oline is a way bigger problem than Grigsby. Barry Sanders could't excel on our team.
