  1. to be honest...I'm expecting it
  2. yeah I would bet Awe is around the 100k price...maybe Dean money..it's later in free agency now, so a lot of money is gone..so you take what you can get Same with Walker...look for him to sign for under 200k this year on a 2 yr deal but a significant bump for 2021...and depending on where we spend for 2020 if money left see him re-upped/restructered at end of this year and some 2021 money moved forward into his 2020 salary
  3. well if we in on Walker obviously Walter's has cap room, or a ways to manage it...if anything it may just be a matter of whats left to possible re-sign a guy back from NFL, or amount left in kitty to re-up guys at end of year, possibly Walter's this year is gonna not keep as much held back...and I'm fine with that for a year
  4. guaranteed him and Wilson are fighting for the WIL spot with Otha Peter's Jr. and the 2nd best guy will be the DI...Whats not to like about this signing
  5. not so much dirty, just was still very prone to lead with his head, old school style like we were taught...but I don't believe last year he was going over the line doing that...the guy is very skilled and that was his one negative...and it's correctable
  6. yUP....Not going anywhere...if anything in terms of money if we bring in Walker it may be at the expense of being able to offer one of our returning NFL free agents nice money to return, and hope they want to take a discount for the remainder of the year to be part of hopefully another big year, which due to our culture we have now, and the fact players wanting to be here can see happening. The only guy who could return where I could see a player having to be moved to make it work is Kongbo, and even then it would most likely only have to be a fringe guy anyway...none of the core players
  7. I truly can't see how/why O'day and Dickenson feel that their roster is so solid and good...no depth anywhere...they lost arguably their best defensive player in Moncrief and replaced him with an old LB out of ball last year, have no depth on o-line and questionable starters, no national receivers to mention...lost their starting D-Tackle...and basically just re-signed last years starters, a group that couldn't get it done....either they are really stupid, poor judges of talent, or guys don't want to sign there, so they spun the "we're good" story
  8. If only we didn't have holes to fill...damn!!! hahaha
  9. Thats what I figure as well...He and Wilson will battle for starter spot, and one will be the DI...and probably see some rotation as well. Anyway you cut it, our line backing group is now way stronger than last year with essentially 4 guys who could start anywhere in the league
  10. no way they trade the defensive captain..and this signing doesn't mean anyone needs to be cut, if anything it is basically a certainty that veteran back-ups/ST's guys like Jones..Jones...Hecht, Fenner, Roh aren't back and their positions are filled with rookies, or cheaper options coming into a second contract, a lot of which has already occurred, and if it came down to having to clip a guy off roster via a trade it would be most likely one of Gray/Speller/Eli moved for a 2021 draft pick
  11. Awe is a more pure LB moreso than Antigha...Antigha could be slotted in a spot where we used the DI for the dime back possibly...With Maston and Alexander both able to play Halfback and Safety, Antigha able to come off edge as a DE, most likely able to cover WILL..possibly SAM, as well as drop off into safety like in Sask, gives us lot's of roster options/different looks, as well as nice positional coverage with in game injuries...If anything Walter's is building a very versatile, and deep defense
  12. depth to push Wilson...is a year younger too, and if anything most likely one will start, and the other takes Korey Jones spot, and also allows us to tun at times a modified 3-4 type front I bet
  13. The more I think of it, Him at safety, in the minds of any receiver even thinking of coming across the middle has got to have them pretty leery..especially with Bighill in the middle, and Josh Johnson and Alexander back there...both hitters too... An Alexander/Johnson/Awe/Taylor/Jones back field would be a pretty scary group if you ask me...also Antigha in that mix...pretty versatile group thats being put together..
  14. Interesting signing...does he play SAM...and WILL...or just WILL? He is a hitter though...and isn't slow...maybe a safety option ala Bennie Thompson?...that would be pretty lethal
  15. More proof on the culture here..and guys talking..and reinforcing it I like the fact he has familiarity with some players here too..
  16. Yeah for a fanbase with that piddly amount..least in the league franchise wise they shouldn't be mocking anything
  17. No ****..that would pointless..
  18. Funny when half the talk there on rider forum resolves around the Bombers..roid jokes..which is funny as u had 2 offenders caught in last few years with ped's that are actually relevant in this day and age..and are beneficial to ball players and full dose found..unlike like Harris Heck you even mention there specific posters from there in your general babble..like me..then the moderators delete my posts in response for no apparent reason...what a sad state of affairs In that irrelevant wasteland
  19. #only4cups
  20. Hansen is a global..so doesn't use up a DI spot.. And we still have Hallet and Exume who can work and progress for reps like Jones did.. Antihga is very versatile as he can play off edge..as will..or safety..and being a former reciever and having g 4.5 speed in 40 would not be outmatched on boundary corner...so he is the perfect piece to be able to DI 2 guys for offence
  21. Yeah the poor me shtick in full force..its hard on them when players dont see Sask as the creme de la creme like they see it...and really.. who would wanna spend 6 months in Regina if u didnt have to
  22. Yeah..all that with a quality backup..I sure hope we can use Antigha as dual DI..with possibility of him going to safety if a db goes down and we move alexander into the injury spot..then possibly be able to use 2 DI spots for Grant and one of Bailey..Whitehead..or whoever impressed.. I would even alter them game by game so both stat involved and come playoffs the one who produced best..plays
  23. I mentioned before..even though it was just pre season but the poise he showed in the pocket.. moving around in it to stand in there and make his reads and deliver the ball where it needed to be was very noticeable..and impressively rare for a raw rookie..I see why team is high on him..and he has a friggin gun
  24. There are multitude reasons for him to sign here..chance to win..chance at playoff scratch..a proven and well known atmosphere and locker room..quality and no question marks about organization across the board.. Walker..Lawler..Adam's.. Woli..Demski...Andrew..that friggin O-line...good god... Sprinkle in sets with Lucky/Grant...damn..and just imagine the space Andrew is gonna have to work with cause u are always gonna have 2 guys focusing on where Walker is headed..and you cant sleep on Lawler or Adam's either..Woli and Demski will have a field day in the slot
  25. Obviously they need to start a national at reciever.. who the hell will it even be..they have no proven experienced ones..Lavoie? Oh please please be him haha
