  1. He also took reps at Tackle in college during practices and although a natural center, would also be an all-star quality guard...hence the perfect 6th man
  2. Getting Harris was more the catalyst to us getting where we are than the Nichols signing....He helped don't get me wrong and solidified the QB position, but if he didn't have a talent like Harris...would have been a different story. Just imagine if we could have had Harris right from the start, or at the 3 yr point in his career
  3. watch some of the last few years game tape if u can....most times Harris was Nichols second read if the initial one wasn't there, and many times it was, but Nichols wouldn't pull the trigger on it...Harris took a beating with all the excessive hits he took...amazing he performed as he did
  4. Love watching him in short yardage...the dude is a beast...the side of line he is on 9 times outta tens just blows the defense right up
  5. a lot of that Harris involvement was soley on Nichols, not Lapo. Nichols gave up on the progressions too soon and used Harris as a safety blanket, or didnt have the ability to extend the play t take a shot like Zack does...hence the lack of tosses to the running back's The dump off to Harris is Zack's last resort....he's always looking downfield, or may just take off...I like this better as it will take a lot of the wear and tear of Harris as he won't be getting hit as much as he was...when he is mainly running he is inflicting the hits
  6. He's just not as good as Dejarlais and Eli....so he is the 7th man and what a luxury that is as he could start on any line in the league and be damn good....just tells you the depth of our line. You have to remember that Eli was a projected higher round draft pick in the NFL prior to his injury, and I believe in his last full season was a projected top 3 center coming out of the NCAA...Landing him where we did in draft was a major coup. We just lucky Geoff is from Winnipeg, and finishing school in Winnipeg as it makes it easier keeping him, but still...he's getting full pay, on his hometown team and has a Cup and a good shot at another....so he's happy
  7. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoff_Gray thats what I went with
  8. yup....but Mass isn't a calming influence w=either and if they start to sputter again we will see him lose his **** too.....it's inevitable. All we need to do on Saturday is crank up the heat right outta the gate, bring it from a few different spots initially to totally confuse their game plan for it and smack him a few times and it will be game over, especially with the crowd noise factor and not being able to audible, and with that weak and relatively unfamiliar with each other O-line it's going to be a sack and hit fest all game...and they will have no answer I think if we pounce early and fast...this will be a runaway win and doubt the Faj finishes the game...everyone out West, and in media keep trumpeting this "Fajardo had an off game" or "he played worst game of his career" etc...etc....no...It was more of Fajardo isn't elite and can't carry a team to a win with a good defense in his face....period Guess we will see Saturday, but I expect nothing less than a convincing win...2 score minimum and if they don't score a TD on us in 1st quarter...I can see another 4 quarters of no TD's
  9. The Rider's won't...well can't try to establish a run game for 2 reasons...lousy O-line...like god awful, and Powell I think is done...also until they can show that they can consistently drive the ball down field then the run just won't be there. Now with the combined lack of quality O-line play to give any time for the QB to let plays develop, and Fajardo not showing he can be that QB and I doubt ever will be (weak 50/50 shots) do not make a stretch the defense offence...the book on him is out..Make him be a complete QB....AND he wilts...we've been doing it since the Banjo Bowl of 2019. There is a reason he was a career short yardage QB and sure had a bit of success last year, but wasn't phenomenal by any stretch, and wilted down the stretch once teams seen his repertoire. He caught some off-guard in the first 3rd of season, but it didn't last...and like Willy said...The first 3 games of the season for them ..at home...was a gimme....be tough sledding now They have us...Then T.O who I think will give them fits if they don't play undisciplined then B.C and ack to back against CGY...I don't think writing CGY off yet is the smart thing, and B.C is leaps and bounds better than the first game they played them...we win and put them 3-2 on saturday I think that a 2-2 split in next 4 is most likely for them...at best....flawed team over there, and the selfish penalties will creep in when the losing starts as Dickie Boi has no control over that crew of players....they definately don't have the FIFO concept going on there
  10. our Oline...Harris...Oliviera....that hard hitting defense...the 3 game run last winter..I like our chances in cold weather ball, as this team knows what it takes and won't be fazed
  11. I don't think we are the type of tea to trade away assets, especially ones we put a few years into....we have no needs really to even consider a trade, where we would win that trade...
  12. Yeah he just needs to get it..and hit it ..no hesitation..minimal overthinking...even when he looks to try to take it outside he second guesses mid flight ..slows up or stops..then tried to pick a new lane...if u are trying to make the edge commit to it..or if it looks to be cut off ..just cut it up without gearing down and get whatever positive yards are there. That's where alot of times you pop through for the big gains and for whatever reason he seems hesitant to do that.
  13. probably midway through the second quarter of the Banjo Bowl is my guess
  14. man...looking at things you gotta like this defense and the adjustments they make mid game...to date...we have given up 15 points in the 3rd quarter, and only 3 in the fourth all year...damn!! even from last game of 2019 through to grey cup we gave up 24 in 3rd and only 6th in 4th...Thats some impressive work
  15. he does have one of the best catch percentage tho, and knows how/where and when to find the spots in a defense to keep the chains moving...especially in blitz packages...would be a nice second down/possession option, but by no means is a game in game out game breaker by any stretch, but would have huge benefits to us in injury troubles, or as an extra receiver on roster if we could do it...plus his presence in the Rider lineup would be a huge help to them, so theres that too
  16. I would lean to Williams...give him his shot, and some shared backfield sets with Harris....could be a real headache for teams
  17. Maybe we just tread water in the return game until Grant is ready...problem solved,
  18. Yup...happens alot
  19. Haha..and he shuns the Riders...classic
  20. We have Mitchell money still sitting there...I'm sure we can fit him in the budget...Rose..Jones..Taylor..Alexander..Darby as the starting 5 with Nichols and Alford...damn!!
  21. Yup...and why he has never made the next step...made it last yr by default..and had decent numbers...but not awe inspiring and caught teams off guard ..he was totally exposed for what he is Yeah if he hits Moore sure..but his lack of touch and pourous online didn't allow it to happen. Also if Darvin doesn't fumble and Demski doest gaff that deep shot we prob get points too...that's the thing with football...lots of ifs and buts...means jack ****
  22. I'd like to see us trade for Nevis then..is he on IR in T.O or P.R?
  23. They can only have 15k max as per restrictions I believe
