  1. but that would make way too much sense, and make us so much better....dont be silly lol
  2. yeah he night and day from what he was when got there...but the clock is ticking on guy sadly...bonus for us in long run but this will be his PR yr and if he doesnt crack it next...I bet they release him, and he may play the PR dance a yr
  3. he's turning 27 before the NFL season starts next yr, this was his last hurrah as at best again he will be a projected fringe guy with "possible" upside, and if Schoen couldn't make the cut withhis abilty at same age and non draft/FA signing history, Wilson surely wont Plus next yr there will be 100's of 21..22 yr old receivers churned out of the collegiate level with his ability, or better who if a team put 2..3 yrs into developing/PR'in would still be younger than Pokey is now....this was his shot Waiting around hoping for a PR spot, or a team liking his skill set to make their roster this yr is a basic pipe dream really....don't blame him if he decides to wait it out....but could amount to nothing all yr Did we not release him so his old deal is nul and void?...even if not....resign/extend him...Pro rate him for 200k a yr for this yr..so he banks roughly 90k for 8 games....add a 100k signing bonus now for 2026 salary payed on this yr's books.....as I sure we have the money kicking around as we didn't really spend any this yr. Continue with the 200k for next....done
  4. yup....and with Manu he has improved, but still 4th on depth chart...next yr is the yr for him to show he has earned a spot, as they will only put so much time into it...if 3 yrs in he not on the 53...they will likley move on
  5. yeah....sit Wilson for a bit and let Ayers run with it....Ayers has upside and yrs ahead of him.....Wilson not so much, and part of reason we in the pickle we are with roster...guys not transitioned in effectively. At this point Ayers is the better LB but gets the back seat due to Oshs penchant for favoring/valuing vets too much, and really Ayers been here now 2 yrs...It's more than time to make the move and he's definitely "earned" the shot If we feel the need to continue to dress 45 linebackers then yeah slot Woods in for Logan, especially if we are able to dress Echols right away. You then have another returner option with CFL experience doing it with him and Vaval
  6. Woods has played coverage on teams, and if you add Bailey for Thomas, he can play on coverage as well.....and as said someone else would pick up the slack A special teams guy who is not a big time returner is not gonna make or break you...A guy on defense who can take 20 reps or so, and have impactful play as well as allow the other's on the dline to play that much better too Ayer's basically takes reps on short yardage packages...Woods obviously would as well being a legit dline guy, and he plays defensive reps...and plays them well and plays on kick returns as well as field goal unit...so it's really a win win more I looking at it the more I like the Echols signing
  7. but sitting and waiting...maybe traveling here and there to get a workout....doesn't pay you anything either....
  8. Earned a couple scarfs for that smart thinking
  9. nor can I...and if he did 99% sure be waiting around for a call and not on a PR making zero dinero He's a dime a dozen receiver down there...proba nickle a dozen really...no knock on him as a player...but just not super exceptional in anything for an NFL roster no he's busy getting his arse whopeD in MMA
  10. That's how I would roll with it
  11. Possible Totally forgot about him kicking around out there...maybe he got glasses as his tracking on deep balls was an adventure
  12. Yeah...intruiging for sure...has good hands too Wonder if we see him and Moore ...or both in lineup this week? Schoen I think is a foolish add at this point..let him heal even more...the fact he trying to get back in with a brace on is something I don't like and has red flags all over it
  13. actually he had some nice games....I like that signing actually Bigger bodied guy....experimce...can return too I believe...would aoffer way more that that kid form the Mines school would.... Also tell's me Sterns gonna be on shelf a bit
  14. From what I know Demski will be good to go....so no issue there...Sterns tho I think is a no-go....slight chance but wouldnt bet on it Yeah Randolph is/was a TE...so he's also be an option to slip out for a pass...I'm sure that would catch teams off guard and do it only 1 time with a pass to him...and teams will have to account for him making space for a play maker
  15. he looks like he did here really....and was not top dollar good Randolph here has really started to establish himself....and gonna be a fixture for a while...we did well there and if we ever get Manu here...theres the RG guard and Randolph makes an even better guard for us
  16. yeah that last game as well was pretty revealing...ther DB backfield was weak as it was, and now will have more injuries to deal with now it looks like And yeah...a few roster tweeks....an addition....we may be just setting up for that late season run...Is Houston/Dandy this yrs Taylor/Maston? And we really need Woods on with Adams, Person..WJ and Vaughters and then just pick the the best of Schmeck and Thomas to roll with Lawson...Or better yet sit one and give Bailey his shot and see how that works yeah...we've had no choices lol
  17. IF we have a Wheatfall...Wilson..."healthy"Schoen...Demsji and Clercius then yeah thats a good group....Is Sterns relegated to PR/IR or do we DA him over Logan and let Vval do double duty, or does Dandy and Houston take the corner spots and Vaval is the extra db abd returner? I wanna see Logan get a few more games in and get his sea legs back as he could be a real nice extra piece for us
  18. got his bell rung...hurt his ankle...we need to bring the heat, and he will be done like dinner
  19. yup...agree...and for all the criticism I give Osh I'd take him all day every day over Mace....guy not good HC...Not currently anyway
  20. yup....Cumulative effects may get him when they need him most....But then again...It's Harris and when teams needed him most before...he never showed up...ever We need to right out of gate bring the pressure...and knock him around early and often...and he will wilt like the guy we all know he is Dress Woods and Bailey and just go to town with solid rotation of our best actually for doing less...to the point of basically nothing other than grabbin his face mask and whincing
  21. Agree....and do we catch lightening in bottle again and take all 3?....possible...I like how ZC played and what they did with him.....the lack of a legit WR who he would continually risk poor throws to has made him be more cerebral and surgical....may be to our benefit now BO seems healthy To me we have talent inhouse here already...tho a small few lil tweeks/adds would do us wonders, it's in my opinion a matter in how we are coached and prepared and utilize what we have to the best ability....thats where I have some doubts as we suffer badly in that regard...but there been some signs of adaptation...so....
  22. acted like he was knocked out with the bizzare body movement stuff he was doing when he got up
  23. I can see a sweep by us possible...dont think Ssk is as good as what is being said, and they got physically wooped last week, so will be feeling it A split is historically reasonable, and possibly the likely result, but also being swept and looking somewhat bad and weak in both is highly likely and I say that as have zero faith in our coaching at moment and how we go about things. The saving grace tho I think is that Mace to me is somewhat a doofus, and luckily a worse coach than Osh...and that team is still undisciplined and for most part believe their hype and act like assbags on the field We have the pieces here, and solid vet leadership but we need to figure out how to use the pieces....funny gut feeling but truly think warts and all...we take both
  24. Strev is going nowhere, and Wilson likely gets IR'd if they feel the need to have Elg's on the roster The greek fella is so low on the pole, and really proved nothing he likely gets PR'd or just released, and in all honesty prob doesn't sign anywhere else and bump any one else's number 3 off a roster As seen Strev has value in a multitude of ways, has shown can win games, and totally embodies what we look for here....Pass final judgement when he actually a second yr removed ffom his surgery...he's hardly a yr as it it I bet in the end he ends up as a guy here who "can" play QB but morphs into a reciever/rb type and we roster him as a non-qb and effectively could have 4 on roster if we so choose to dress 3 A lot can also happen between now and 2026 with players...and staff...so maybe none of the 4 here currently are even here next....or maybe just 1
