  1. Cause Laing is better than Thomas and Thomas is perfect guy to spell him off...and Griffiths is still an unknown If we move on from Nevis and Thomas and Gruffiths are our tackle combo exclusively..we just become substantially weaker on defence
  2. You have to understand too, a lot of those short passes were basically schemed run plays, to have the runner attack the defense from different spots, if you go back and look at film you will see they were not plays that were last resort/panic/nobody open/lack of confidence in the QB things...routes and blocks were set-up treating it as a running play...many a time the receivers were setting up blocks or already engaged prior to Harris having the ball in his hands...that was a planned thing
  3. we also don't know what parts of the "LAPO" playbook were collaborated parts of Buck's vision/ideas as well...
  4. when you look at it Sask seems to be a team that could be a player in one of the available guys with experience (and former hype) as all they have is Harker and Bennett as depth, and even though the fans there think Harker is a stud in waiting, if he has to take over they are screwed...also, Fajardo still has to prove last seasons success, albeit it average success is actually him...or was an anomaly/one off, and also if he can stay healthy too The issue there tho is they won't have a lot to offer a legit number 2 as they have a whack of work to do as it is to fill there roster with re-upping guys and or replacing talent they have lost, or may still lose yet
  5. Key word tho is last year, who's to say that Buck will base his offence around that, especially with Zack showing he can make the long throws, and the fact that McGuire can stretch a field with the best of them...
  6. Maybe Bryant has told them this will be his last year...so they grooming the heir apparent??....though I can't see him hanging them up but ya never know...he's had a HOF career and 2 Cups
  7. LIKE similar leagues..interest peaks originally...then wanes pretty fast
  8. What's the table look like? Lol
  9. Sask lowballed him...Montreal I believe offered more
  10. and the extra 25k in playoff money available if u win the grey cup...be more this year as that was the amount of the last Bargaining agreement which ran from 2014-2019 even if you get to cup and lose you will pocket 17k
  11. and we were in good shape cap wise last year...as the extensions and re-ups prior to Jan showed, and we will be in better shape as we are only going to be paying 2 qb's basically, and have shed Couture's salary..was his second contract and was prob pushing 100k..if not at it and will be paying less or equal value for whover we replace Sayles and Rose with..unless we go really big after say an Ackie, or one of the higher priced imports that are available
  12. he spurned a shitty team for less to sign with us last year, so not like it's out of the question
  13. hearing and reality are 2 different things...and we don't know what our budget is either....so really until pen needs to meet paper it's really a non-issue and speculative at best That being said getting Ja'Gared Davis most likely for less and his 54 tackles..13 sacks and 3 FF's is a nice secondary prize
  14. No way he un-seating Murray there...can't see him taking away reps from Drake..Edmonds..Johnson either...They also still have another QB they drafted last year, he be in tough and most likely PR i would think...but never know
  15. He won't get developed like he will want to be...but will get good coaching and learn a lot...and then prob tire of being the battering ram for 6-8 reps a game...I thinking he ends up in Miami...be best spot for him based on current rosters tho
  16. He will be a short tenured NFL guy, based pretty much on what I assume he will be used for..I would confidently say that if he does stick for a year or two, and then uses up his PR time, and NFL usefulness vs price tag he will come back here, as a more seasoned QB and lead this team for several years....look at it as the NFL developing him for us while we roll with Zack for a year or 2 and develoip McGuire..who know's..McGuire may flourish and Strev becomes his change of pace back-up
  17. way over payed for a 61 tackle guy who is basically your average linebacker...If wasn't for his bogus National designation would be a fringe player...Wilson for us has pretty much same stats, and I think is more impactful...so that be like us paying him 200k....fools They extended an average American O-Tackle too...way to go Oday!!
  18. haha...yup
  19. 2 bombers done it...nice..thanks for the research
  20. Well seeing as they have one legit QB option left..they can just pay 10k less than market value as Nichols is gonna be in a take it or leave it situation..
  21. If 49'ers win Super Bowl Me Kongbo will be part of a team that one Grey Cup and Super Bowl in same season.. now how often do u see that..if ever?? Quite a rookie season for him
  22. Sure makes one appreciate Walter's work and us signing and extending guys we want. And not cutting ties with good players so to make ends meet
  23. Regardless we were never gonna save anything on starting QB this whatever way u sliced it..and team never expected to. Realistically we are more or less at the same value there as last..if not more value if Collaros misses anytime..and even if he dosnt..its hardly an increase..especially when we only need to roster 2 QB's and most likely one will be value contract McGuire
  24. No way we start 3 Canadian receivers.. makes no sense when we dint have to..plus there would be wasted roster spots to cover those positions..and most likely severe drop offs in talent too
  25. I'd keep Fenner over Orange. I actually hope we keep Fenner regardless
