Only player really who I saw who hurt us...we jettisoned....Leggz....Injuries were an issue for a few, last year....lets see who still has those issues again, and if it a going concern then I bet we do something about it...nobody returning on our roster from last year as a starter really was a detriment to the club with their play, due to age...so lets see how the season starts...We also you could say Jettisoned Ellingson for Lawler as well...Ellingson spent more time in the tub than field...and was an "aging" player....and now is gone...so its not like we trotting out a team of geriatrics just barely hanging on

Yeah we've added a Schoen...Houston...Parker/Holm ..now possibly a Thomas and Haba...let's see what they do before saying we added no new talent Injuries hurt us more last yr than aging players who's play fell off cliff dramatically Also we have transitioned from Harris....Couture...have 2 young stud Canadian olineman in depth now with Dobson and Eli Brought back best receiver in league..who is in his prime yes in place of a grissled vet..who is what he is and likely in decline...and hurt all last yr Brought in upgrades to kickers from last yr....have replaced our short yardage QB with a younger more dynamic QB with tons of possible upside... Like man...what more u want..wholesale roster makeover where it may not even need it? Let's see how first 3rd of yr goes before complaining

We have no use for LaFrance and I would barf if he was brought in and pushed a promising youngster to.the PR

Trust me...we played a game sans socks if guys wanted to from the heat index...go back and look..I think they even mentioned it on broadcast It's beneficial..helps prevent injuries and cramps...doubt it if u want...but it's a real thing.

He's not Sayles replacement..why people think that is almost laughable...and this roster now...and what it will be game 1 will prob have a lot of shuffling...and who.knows...a new face may show up Exactly...Lawson will be a stud for us..he's a load in the middle and disruptive...last yr from mid season on...our ends situation I feel is worse than now...Haha will impress ..I see it in his style ..and Hansen will be back sooner than later...and who knows...with full compliment of starters Bennet may impress...he is likely an upgrade of the dude we signed off Sask scrap heap...has more upside if anything Cole has crazy sideline to sideline range...I think if given true shot to backup Wilson he will be fine..but u know this regime is always looking...I'd even give Karokoma or whatever his name is some reps there...like that kid

In defence of the no sock look...in extreme heat situations they will allow u to roll them down or remove them for player safety..so have no issue with it...we had several guys do it as well...not as many but we did We also did it in a game I think last yr?? Or in 2021...

Based on these cuts ..seems obvious Brady O..Bighill.. Jeffcoat and likely Lawrence and Rose are all game 1 starters...like was alluded to by Osh..and from personal experience "injured" guys who media and fans see at open "practice" are doing a lot of work "in the dark" hence why I was never too concerned..I also have seen several and talked to a few working out...and can say non issue Haba is a guy likely to rotate in...just cause was a late to camp guy doesn't mean just a fly by night invite...circumstances may have only made coming late work for both parties...he had good burst...used leverage real well and will be a handful ..gets under and low to ground and is a tackles nightmare...he's a more compact faster version of Jeffcoat Hopefully Parker isn't hurt too bad..I actually thought he was a victim of a solid nut shot..and too much was made of Rose last yr..was hurt for good 2/3rd of season but soldiers thru it...Him and Lawrence are the best (and most experienced) corners here...I have zero concern there...BA and Darby to start season...same with Lawrence makes us better than where we started last yr...Nichols..the best in the biz we know is solid...that other half not sure who gets it...regardless...will be a better backfield than last yr Our kicking situation is better than last yr...our QB stable in my opinion is better than last yr...I'd say our receivers are too... especially when Lawler is back...On-line as well is better...I have zero concern with age of Stan...his play hasn't suffered...and now we have capable and proven reserves in Eli..Dobson..and Kolo...plus Richmond....and the Japanese fella is also serviceable I tho too was dissapointed in what we brought and did with import linebackers as I would hope/think this yr is the transition yr with Biggie...unless he totally shoots out the lights..then I will give him some leeway into 2024 but will want to see huge competition for his spot...Wil...crapshoot who gets it...Brian Cole tho...wouldn't shock me until Wilson is back...maybe we go Canadian...I'm sure we have a plan... All in all I didn't expect any big surprises..because why should we have...and it would have taken an all world effort by someone for that to be even considered...and that never happened...and really ..nobody last yr showed huge regression from age...we had a lot of season long injury issues which hinders a lot of guys...and we still piled up 15 wins...now tho...if the same cast of characters have same season long issues...this regime will move on...make a trade...or bring someone in...or give someone inhouse next in line their shot...we have seen all the above done by them...I trust the process and decisions they make..tho have made it known I have questions and beefs with at times odd roster management and player usage...but again..we winningest franchise over last what..3 ..4 yrs?? And also not concerned with the aging issue others have...today's 30 to 35 yr old athlete is not the same cat it was in the 80's..90's and even early to mid 2000's...so again...that doesn't concern me

He's been practicing Soley as a QB...for a long time...big diff...yeah wasn't a 2 yr starter...but was still getting reps...should Brown be tossed away from the last 3 yrs of no playing? Same thing...he still getting reps and working on his craft

Yeah...both games he has had to deal with craptacular snaps...messing up timing and vision

Load up one side with 4 receivers...send them out on intermediate to deep routes...roll.piggy out that way...guys either fall.off their receivers for threat of run...or hold coverage and leave green green grass ...imagine him in space with our crew downfield blocking...tasty indeed

Point to consider. ..what u think Piggy would do behind the actual starting online...full compliment of receivers who would have to be be respected.. as well as a starting tailback...I bet just as well as BRown...likely better and also generate a lot more amped up play from the unit as a whole U know damn well our receivers would block the snot outta the other teams #1's if Piggy got out of his pen...just saying...he is playing against for sure other teams backups...for most part...but also with mainly guys who won't be here either...goes both ways

Nobody stating that unequivocally...but potential is there to explore As for Brown...adequate for what he is...I have never loved him...and I feel we can do better at #2....and every star/hall of famer/phenom starts somewhere...for total package...with that extra "something" that legit QB's have he is the best we have brought up or seen in these parts here in a loooong time .. He has a stature issue working against him in NFL and even in Div 1....but he is prototype perfect for CFL ..if he shows he can elevate his passing game...which will come with reps and pro level coaching...we have something there...just the threat of his running against teams number 1's is enough to open things up for him and or receivers while he cuts his teeth Also...I don't think Brown could start on most other teams...and if he did...that team on offence would be average at best...I don't see him as a true legit #1...and he will never be it here even when ZC hangs em up...or suffers the unthinkable

Yeah...he had that non stop motor...love to see him in game 1...with starters...after another week of learning the Canadian game and getting game feet under him..can see him being our ROTY Thomas I think is a lock to be a rotational DT...possibly becoming DT1a...over Walker tho Walker showed me more than I saw and expected based on last yr...dude has changed up his makeup a bit I noticed that too...which makes me think he may be the punter...I like the way the ball flies off his foot I'm not too concerned about the front 7 on defence once all starters are in there ..don't believe any of the walking wounded will miss game 1 save for Wilson...and if he isn't ready I want us to start a Canadian at Wil and then utilize the Nationalized rule to allow us to rotate in whatever American makes roster...let's us get Salima in to rotate with Brady...and or start if he isn't good to go...a BO and Salima combo would be a nice thing to have as well on game day..guy can also catch out of backfield too Still think come Monday we may pick up one of the available DT/Ends that are floating around there already cut...or another one that gets cut or doesn't want a PR spot elsewhere...u know damn well if someone's PR hopeful gets a call from Walters they will jump all over it Yup...and made some impact on ST's too

Piggy has work to do....as in learn the game up here...routes...polish his throws...but he can make them...needs reps...def has eyes down field when running....and his running is other level up here from a QB unlike anything I seen up here in decades....closest thing is Tracy Ham...but Piggy runs with more aggression...in open field he runs like a RB...and before people say that will be his demise and become an injury magnate..it's actually the opposite. He almost has a young Mike Vick vibe...not saying he is a Vick clone but similar...and if used right up here and coached up...could be a real asset and cause teams fits...is he taking anyone's job out of the gate? No....could he possibly move up depth chart at some point...yes...is he worth developing ala what we did with Brown? 100%...look forward what we do with him...and when he is on field...there def is heightened oomph in players steps like when Strev was here

Haba for only being here a short time looked good...gets off the snap quick...and creates some havoc...looks to be a player Thomas as well makes team...and could be a strong inside presence.. Salima needs to make team...like what he brings and looks like that prototype back who can carry a nice workload and wear teams down I say keep Amari Jones and Augudosi with last yrs starters...Jones for his versatility and potential...Augudosi for obvious reasons Not to concerned with defence...when we have our rotation of Fatboi/Lawson (who gonna open eyes this yr) the Jeff's...Thomas/Waker...with Biggie and Darby...BA...Nichols...and hopefully Rose and Lawrence we will be okay..was hoping Parker took that other HB spot...so hope injury was nothing serious...still not sold on Holm ..gets washed out in traffic...and misses tackles...Houston I think just had an off game...
