I would dress 7 lineman minimum who could contribute and be impactful..Thomas and Bennet would not be 2 of.them...Nor.that Putz schmeckle they have on the PR I have erased that game from memory so would have to look...but wasn't Briggs starting as well...which should never be...we had Cole on roster who prob is our best sideline to sideline linebacker next to Wilson and he was firmly planted on bench...didn't spell anyone off...or come in when we were eviscerated..he been here for 2 yrs..so he knows the system and if coach isn't comfortable having him in...then why he on roster?? Can't have a glut of ST adequate only guys...hence bad roster management He looked just fine with expanded reps against BC..had some impactful plays...so he would have likely helped in the Ott meltdown

Yeah he not all that...hasn't leaned touch...will force things...and truly don't think he can read a defence well yet either...and if the first read isnt immediately there...all bets are off and what he can do...not a long-term recipe for success...and running like he does to.make up for it...he gonna pay

Yeah...Brown has 3 yrs here with all these guys...he just needs to play smart and clean and we probably are just fine...he totally impressed me with that rope he fired to Schoen for that TD The Dline guys had no pursuit left in them..were grabbing at air...and Briggs was aimlessly flailing at nothing...even Biggie on the one made a desperate lunge cause he had no gas left...depth or lack there off cost us that game...nothing anyone says will convince me otherwise..I'm a defensive player...all.my life and I know what gassed defense look like and do...and they were shot

On flip side...we missed a few kill shots...and our weak no depth on roster defence didn't hold so we ended up losing...every play in a game matters...and some early in a game have a direct link to stuff at end...and vice versa...Iif we had the defensive depth that game...we still win without the pic 6 and dropped Schoen td

why wouldnt he be better?...when he cane here as a raw rookie had 2 yrs of experience as a starting qb....He got 2 yrs here to learn, and will now have had 3..4 yrs down there growing and learning from coaches in the best league in the world....and has shown great success at times down there as well...so no reason at all to think if he comes back late this yr, or next that he wont be heads and shoulders better than he was when he left

Darby on that punt...was put to a spot and he knew exactly where it was going....the bounce hit and was headed back up field probably at least 10 to 15 yards so he swatted it out purposely...actually kinda smart...could have resulted in a bigger gain and likely a no yards further up the field too

So...ZC is what...34 now...36 then...so that's perfect

Reviewing some game now...If we gonna give Jackson that DA role again work him into the defence more then...he was a key part of that 3rd down denial..he was brought in as a de/lb...use him as such Further to Dline...if you want a good example of why I say Thomas is toast and he should have minimal reps...look at the first play..Mizzel run after the Lawler TD...around the 8:20 mark...just utter useless..and could barely run up to follow play down..he's done That first punt return when still 0-0...damn lucky he didn't cough that up ...very likely could have been a BC first down inside our 20...and totally changed that game...lucky lucky there .. Lawlers first catch too...just 5 man oline and perfect block picked up by BO

3 for sure...which basically mitigated any return...Grant is so valuable you dont notice until he is missing....we have lost the field position game within the game since he was out save for the 1 game we let Parker do it...If he not back in next week thats just lame...plus the fact he is valuable on defense and is great on kick coverage...not to mention probably the best pure tackler on the team next to Wilson

so BC went from giving up an avg of 13 points a game to 18....we average 20 given up...seems the tables are turning...Wonder if TSN nad other media clowns will focus on our defense now instead of tooting the BC horn over and over
