  1. Well Tui won't be allowed back into the country next year unless his vax status changes so I count him as gone. Possible that Desjarlais gets an offer he can't refuse. I am OK with both losses if it comes to that. We have a big mean road grader named Dobson coming in and will likely go OL with our 1st rounder if we need to. We have effectively already lost Eli due to Canada's border restrictions on unvaccinated players.
  2. Caretaker Bob didn't get much funding help and built what could be afforded. Still a ton better than Ivor Wynne. Awesome....Nicholls just about to beat himself up for letting the INT go through his hands and then Rose and Wilson say "hold my beer".
  3. He was definitely deliberately trying to keep the ball alive for sure. I think he was hoping to get the interception but ended up batting it into Wilson's arms instead. Just as good of a result.
  4. Idk...getting traded from the gappers had to be the low point of his career. If there was ever a reason to hang them up and just protect your health that would be it. He stuck with it. Now that he has a healthy MOP/GC season behind him it would shock me if he walked away now.
  5. I agree, especially since he has zero experience as a GM. He would need a John Murphy type hire and if there is no money that makes it tough.
  6. You can deny permission even if it is a promotion. We did it to Lapo a couple years ago when the Riders wanted him for HC. That being said I don't think we would deny him, nor do I think Madani's report is anywhere even remotely accurate.
  7. As someone who coaches special teams for a while, I can honestly say the point single was not the worst decision I've seen. It was a high wind day, difficult to judge the ball. In those circumstances I would never instruct a player to let a kickoff get behind you. It's a live ball and you never know when it hits the turf how it will bounce. Letting it past you could result in a TD. You field kickoffs in the wind and don't get cute with it. Also, the returner would have been coached that field position against the wind is of paramount importance. If you don't see an obvious lane take the knee and take the ball at the 35. I know that the single point did not allow the Cats to win, but in my opinion, getting the ball for sure at the 35 against the wind is what allows them to even have a FG to try. If the returner gets tackled at his own 20 I don't like Hamilton's odds of driving the field for a FG try for the win against a gale force wind. In retrospect, it turned out to be a bad decision but we'll never know how it might have played out if he brought it out or let it go by. Could have bounced sideways and died in the end zone with the Bombers recovering it for the win, returner could have been hemmed in and tackled at his 15-20 yard line like he was in the 1st Q when he brought it out.
  8. 3 year deal, 10 year deal...irrelevant.
  9. He falls in love with his own press clippings, unless of course they are negative then whoever wrote them is a bad, bad man.
  10. It's a good thing that's Fajardo falling down if it was Duke Williams he would have been knocked out.
  11. Without the turnovers this game is a blow out by half time. The football gods and Jesus sprinkles did everything in their power.
  12. He is the chosen one after all.
  13. They need a whole new OL, and locker room culture rebuild by next November....good luck with that.
  14. Go cry in private man....you just told pretty much everyone in the free world how easy it is to get in your head. My goodness, it's no wonder this guy can't win the big game he's tremendously insecure. Toughen up young Cody Faj because to be successful you gotta be in the right frame of mind. Cody you might want to get your estrogen levels checked.
  15. What direction does Cody Fajardo go? Any water to the rumour he may want to sign in Toronto? He stated in an interview a month ago that he wants to be a Bomber for as long as the team wants him.
  16. Exactly. No one knew him in 2019 and once the book was out that he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn beyond 15 yards it was game over.
  17. His ball placement is very poor even in the short passes a lot of times. Those are the passes that should be seeing eye and for Fajardo even they are an adventure a lot of times.
  18. Yea....sore winner or sore loser.....Winnipeg fan or Rider fan....it's a simple choice really. Cody Vaj had a great run in early 2019 and has been average/below average since. Once teams figured out his spin-o-rama and started holding their coverage a bit longer because of ability to escape pressure it was game over for him. He has a sub par arm and accuracy.
  19. That's just crazy then. It's stuff like that, that makes a person wonder if a challenge call is predetermined before they even look at the footage. It wasn't just obvious it was beyond dispute. So many angles that showed the ball hitting the ground and for some strange reason TSN not even showing the replay of the push off which was beyond obvious as well. Funny thing is that Duke has gotten away with that his whole career.
  20. Osh made a big mistake not challenging for offensive PI. Glad it didn't cost us. Was at the game. He was half arsing it all game long. He doesn't want to be a Rider anymore imo...but what a crap attitude.
  21. Time to draft better. MUCH better.
  22. In fairness to Maas and Fajardo, who would trust that bunch of pylons. Just a terrible OL straight across the board. I don't even know how we will work Dobson into the lineup. Just an embarrassment of riches at NAT OL in our organization.
  23. Oh....but it was. Just not on the scoreboard because of ball security. Realistically we beat yo ass around that field all day long. Our mistakes kept you in it but this game was NEVER in doubt. Average teams bemoan their injuries. Good teams just keep on winning and you don't notice their injuries.
  24. Got home last night and watched the PVR of the game. There's Lucky in full Bomber gear and the TSN camera guy zoomed in on him. The PbP guys didn't even realize or at least mention that it was Lucky. Earlier last week I said that even Jesus sprinkles couldn't stop the Bombers. He tried, but he failed. I agree. Entering the 4th down by 3, I still had no doubt in my mind that we were going to win. We were moving the ball at will really.
  25. That's possible. I don't recall hearing that but there is a lot you start forgetting when you're in your fifties. lol
