  1. Sounds about right. lol We have owned them in Regina since they moved into Mosaic.
  2. I am thankful that both games will be played on home turf, IG West and IG Field. IG West will host the uglier fans, but our win/loss record there is very good.
  3. He was probably thinking that Harris up to that point was pretty inconsistent and is borderline geriatric and didn't want to hitch all his horses to him. That's a strong possibility. Might have gotten a signficant portion of his salary up front.
  4. Pretty much a mirror image of what Migs was saying on Riderfans, so if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck....just saying. It wasn't that he posted we should have respect for the Riders....this guy was suggesting we should be fearing them because their RB is not quite as good as the Stamps elite RBs we just faced and beat...and for that he deserves the rough ride he got.
  5. Can't make it through cutting vets since we are now in week 12, so the only way is 6 game savings or trading away salary.
  6. Desjarlais is just media speculation at this point. I saw several articles suggesting that NE may offer him a PR spot, but nothing indicating that he was a sure thing.
  7. Every country has it's own trademark licensing. Boise state may own it in the US, but do they license the TM in Canada?
  8. You wanna give a tired dressing room a big boost just prior to the playoffs? Bring in a glue guy, that will run through walls and is beloved by his team mates. The 75k this would cost would be the best money we spend with the exception of DD possibly returning.
  9. A few reports out of New England suggesting that Desjarlais will be offered a PR spot. Not sure if he will take it or not.
  10. His hair is pretty greasy looking.
  11. If he does not get another NFL shot by TC 2023, he will never get one again. His NFL window is from now to then. He knows this full well. However, there is a strong chance he could be back in a TC next year if he doesn't get picked up now. His TC effort with NY virtually assures him of one more TC somewhere in the NFL.
  12. Pretty sure he was saying ******* Canadian mafia.
  13. I can't imagine BC having the cap space, and I can't imagine the Riders making him their starter without a multi-year deal that he simply won't sign right now.
  14. Not denying that Strev getting NFL interest would be tough if he comes back. Will be tough if he doesn't get picked up in the next few days too. You are entirely missing the point though. Strev is not like almost any CFL QB gone south before, he has been rostered for enough time that he is almost pensionable. That is something that has never happened with a CFL QB since Brock, Moon, and Flutie. He, therefore, MUST keep his NFL options open. He would monumentally stupid not to do so.
  15. You have your opinion I have mine. Not gonna debate this with you. I have laid out my reasoning, and you have laid out yours. I'm not trying to convince you, we shall see I guess. Maybe...but we all know where his heart will be telling him to go. That discussion took place months ago. I would bet on that.
  16. Yea sure Dickie. I suppose Blair just happened to be standing there, overheard it and then made a mountain out of a mole hill. Right? Someone in your front office didn't like the way they were treated by one of your players Dickie, and went to the media to drop the bomb. Don't give me this crap about a simple misunderstanding and a kumbaya session afterwards with high fives and blown kisses. How stupid does Dickie think people are? When something leaks out of your own office doors then it's more than a simple misunderstanding that was cleared up without incident.
  17. Yes, that remains a strong possibility. The BC Lions would be a good fit for him too. However, they spent like drunken sailors in the offseason and have almost no cap relief from Rourke's injury, Not sure they have the cap space to make it work.
  18. Of course he is going to exhaust all opportunities first, there is a couple million dollars in lifetime pension at stake. Plus his best friend Woli is here too. There is, I just don't particularly feel like giving it a lot of my time. I stand behind my reasoning with or without examples to illustrate. Thanks for Ray though...he is the perfect example.
  19. Strev needs to be rostered for 6 more games to pull down a 30k American pension for the rest of his life. He is not in the same situation as most ex-CFLers. He needs to exhaust every avenue to try and get those 6 games. It's why there is zero chance he gives up the NFL dream this season. He will try and find a way to convince another NFL team to bring him in, and if he can't in the next few weeks, he will sign a pro rated contract and hope he puts up some game film to convince a team for one last shot.
  20. You do realize that when Arizona, Baltimore, and Miami cut him it was our offseason right?
  21. You are asking the wrong question then. The question you should be asking is how many guys return to the CFL from the NFL and don't attempt to get back to the NFL in the offseason following? Answer....not many nowadays. Most guys returning are on prorated contracts for the remainder of the year.
  22. Ton of guys come to the CFL after failed NFL attempts and then get a 2nd look after their rookie year here. Most of the IMPs signed in the CFL have been through an NFL camp already. Almost all will tell you that they came up here to build some positive game film and keep their names in the hopper.
  23. I agree, most guys never get a sniff again. However, Kongbo has shown it can be done. Others, such as Duke Williams and Reggie Begelton signed to the end of the year and checked out NFL interest before re-signing in the CFL. I am certainly not suggesting that if Streveler came North he would be a slam dunk to get NFL interest next year....he wouldn't, but like most of the NFL returnees of the past several years he will likely want to keep that option open. He can come back to the CFL for a GC run with us, and then pick his best CFL/NFL option in the offseason. I doubt he gives up his NFL option by coming back on a multi-year deal right now and no one is handing them their starting QB position without that commitment.
