Lapo gonna Lapo.... Run abandoned, calling ridiculous QB draws midfield...

Are you nuts? There's absolutely ZERO pressure on him now...

What a BS spot

Streveler starting... thank you. All we need is a game manager... Bombers are better than this Rider team

If Streveler does not start the second half, Oshea is done... there's just no two ways about it. The play call by Lapo - NOT to use Harris - and then that high school panic play by Nichols is really the low point of the season. I'm worried that Osh will leave Nichols out there and Bomber fans will boo for the ENTIRE rest of the game...

Man Nichols is looking bad...

Nice to FINALLY see Demski on punt returns... Gaitor and Fenner playing well so far - better than I ever expected...!! No one throws suicide balls like Collaros

Bombers need to establish the run game in the first drive... but also through a couple fly routes... Harris et al need 150 yards today Going to be a battle of the kickers - don't see either QB doing much... Need more Streveler as 1b for sure

Elizondo is a garbage OC... their offence took a huge step back when he joined them and it was really Henry Burris that willed them to win in 2016 playoffs... Otherwise, his play calling is very much the same as Lapo's but maybe worse.

You're way past the edge...

Ottawa needs to get rid of Elizondo... two years ago...

Around the League: 2018 Season
An extra 70k upfront is an extra player... that's the point... They had Durant budgeted at prob $175k or so...? then signed Bighill at $200k... a raise and another seventy grand in a big free agent year... I'm sure they paid Bowman at least half up front to get him at $140k...

Yeah right. Walters probably just didn't pursue him... could be up against the cap with Durant's theft and the Bighill signing...

Matt Nichols -BOO!!!!!!!
I adopted the blue poodle persona to raise awareness of the plight of blue poodles.

Matt Nichols -BOO!!!!!!!
He's totally the real Mike Kelly.

American scouting also discovered Bethel-Thompson... JSK is a huge find... same with Alexander - its not all misses, in fact, some guys we call misses are probably just taking a bullet for Richie Hall's crap D

I'm definitely not nitpicking... but I'm less in awe of our Cdn scouting than I was a couple years ago - I'd say we're just a bit above average but not much... lots of teams are scouting Cdn quite well now I doubt Evan Johnson was a huge salary at 9th overall - he was a bit off the board... but I do understand the logic of the Gray pick

Hence the Dinwiddie connection... I don't think anyone believes that between Dickenson and BLM that Dinwiddie is actually calling the plays...

Around the League: 2018 Season
I guess my point is that Walters should not be raked over the coals for Ekakitie but also should not get too much credit for Chungh and Goossen because those were almost can't miss top fives... Aside from that, there's arguments both ways on his scouting... I think he's good but he's not head and shoulders above anyone else. Briggs over Miles, Richards over Durant, Morgan over Campbell, Normand over Lafrance... there is a bit of a history of not picking BPA at their targeted position... Right now, Conteh over Adeleke and Geoff Gray over Evan Johnson aren't looking like great decisions either The BC trade and Simonise were savvy decisions imo... same with Petermann and A G-D

Again, there have been some great picks... but first overall is not one of them... Teams picking mid-first round usually have the best payoff Huff's ability to pick BPA despite size/school/off-field issues has also paid off more than any other GM - Sunderland took a page out of his book in 2017...

Dinwiddie is a pretty interesting idea... Not sure that Lapo isn't HC with Dinwiddie OC though...
