I really enjoyed Breeze vs Crews too. Crews (Uhaa Nation) is going to be something special. And Breeze is a solid act. Shoot Nation or whatever they are calling Gable and Jordan will be great too. New age Worlds Greatest Tag Team. -
How long before Zinger starts twisting Chevy's arm to send him Petan
-
So.....Moose suck eh?

I don't diagree It would be awful. But losong them for nothing is the stupidest thing possible Unless Chevy knows they are resigning shortly he has already made a big mistake.

Unless you have proof that Harper had experience leading another country before he ever became our Prime Minister. Otherwise he had NO EXPERIENCE being a Prime Ministwr. Not to mention that Harper was a similar age as Trudeau is when he first became PM so it's not like he was some old guard politician either. You want an honest opinion? Trudeau is probably more qualified to be a rookie PM than Harper just because of who Trudeaus dad was. The guy has been around politics and politicians his whole life no doubt. In situations like that you have to be pretty ignorant to not pick things up. Oh Kay now. You're messing with me right?

Unless you have proof that Harper had experience leading another country before he ever became our Prime Minister. Otherwise he had NO EXPERIENCE being a Prime Ministwr. And you know exactly what I meant. Good grief. You're better than that.

The jets still have good pieces coming. You trade them for a combo of future pics and prospects that are ready in the near term. You can always package surplus pics and prospects for help now.
-
You're probably right. And that would be a huge failure on Chevys part.

This is unbelievably stupid IRDEN, Man. – A Canadian flag was removed from a Manitoba advance polling station on the weekend because a worker felt it violated election rules. Elections Canada said a worker in Virden, near the Saskatchewan boundary, thought the red in the Canadian flag could be interpreted as support for the Liberal party. Spokeswoman Marie-France Kenny said the Elections Canada returning officer was contacted by a local worker who wanted clarification of the rules. “One employee did ask that we remove some flags because they were red, which has absolutely nothing to do with partisanship,” she said Thursday. “It was all a misunderstanding.” One of the two flags were removed for a period of time, but it was ultimately raised again, Kenny said. She didn’t know how long the flag was removed or how quickly the confusion was cleared up. “As long as nothing is advocating for or against a candidate, there is no reason to remove them from the poll.” The worker had undergone Elections Canada training, which explains the rules that prohibit campaign literature or active campaigning near a polling station, Kenny said.

If both signed they won't be traded. Not this year anyway. Both have more value at the deadline now if they remain unsigned. That's when teams who think they are one piece away and loaded for a run will love a pending UFA and give up a lot to get them. And by a lot I mean picks and prospects. Problem is, the deadline is when we need them too. But quite honestly if both are unsigned I don't care where the Jets are and I don't care how big a role they have. If they are unsigned at the deadline you trade both for maximum return. You simply can't lose them for nothing. The return could set the jets up as a Contender for years

That's just completely false. While it's true harper did not have experience as PM before he became PM it's egregiously silly to compare Harper's experience when he became PM to JT's. You wouldn't hire a mechanic with no experience working on cars. But PM? Sure no experience needed. Edit to add, I posted both guys' resumes here in this thread when the subject first cAme up. Not sure if it was you or someone else saying Harper had the same level of experience as JT. But you're free to search for it.
-
Respectfully disagree. Harper was infinitely experienced. You can't compare the two whatsoever.

Im torn. I sort of love the Kane angle in that Glen Jacobs is great and has a long history of taking some of the goofiest storylines and making them gold. If it was a mid card angle it would be a great guilty pleasure every week. But main event? Yikes. It shows they have no top card depth. And John Cena is about to take a two month hiatus. The segment with Stephanie being rude to people on the phone was apparently a rib as she has a reputation for being a rude ***** in real life to people like flight attendants. So they are now getting laughs off Steph being a real life ****. -
My parents tell me crazy stories of their mortage where they had a variable rate and their friends had fixed and my parents lucked out when rates dropped. Housing prices were lower. Can you imagine if the Liberal's runaway deficits cause a spike in interest rates and the middle incomers with their $300,000 homes suddenly go from 2% to 7% or 12%...or 18%?

That's exactly how I feel. I've been a Tory, Reform, Canadian Alliance & Conservative voter federally since I turned 18 but their campaign has totally turned me off to the point I'm sitting on the fence between Liberals & Conservatives for the first time. That would have been inconceivable to me 5 years ago. The question I'm asking is do the Conservatives even deserve my vote? I was an NDP'er before I could vote when I was influenced by my parents. Then in Junior High I was VERY liberal (Free Trade) before I really understood the issues, though it was discussed in school. Celebrated when the PC's were obliterated. Voted Liberal in my first election. Strong supporter of Chretien. Arrogance and scandal and lies and a sense that surpluses were the government's to spend and not the people's to recoup etc, soured me. I knew a girl casually who was a member of the young liberals and I told her how I was feeling and she told me a lot of liberals agreed but it was Chretien's fault and when he left, Martin would lead us all to the promised land. I was intrigued by Reform but still Liberal. Started getting into it more with the Canadian Alliance. Thought Stockwell Day got a bit of a raw deal. Stephen Harper uniting the right and the decline of the liberals pushed me to the Cons. But I genuinely like Harper. Im not nearly as impressed with this campaign's second half as I was the first. For me, to answer the question of do they deserve my vote? I think Harper is a good, smart person of good character, strong leader and someone who has Canada's best interests at heart. So he will still get my vote. And saying that, I think Trudeau and Mulcair have Canada's best interests at heart too. Its just political differences. I dislike Trudeau but if he's Prime Minister, then I hope he does a fine job.
-
Im all for a leader surrounding himself by qualified people. But I dont think Prime Minister is a position that lends itself to on-the-job-training. However, in a democracy it doesnt matter... Although as noted previously, Harper, until today, consistently led in polls asking who would be the best PM. And Trudeau's rise likely has more to do with liberal momentum this week. So despite the Harper-hate-hysteria, it seems people like Harper (or at least like him as PM),they just dont like Conservative policy. Read some disturbing things about the economy under PET (high interest rates)and ofcourse Chretien/Martin slashing transfer payments etc. Let's hope it's not *that* sort of Liberal government. Skyrocketing interest rates would be bad news for a lot of people who have mortgages on homes they otherwise couldnt afford if not for low interest rates.

Need to get those liberals voting NDP! Lol It’s almost as if there’s a pact among my colleagues in the media not to talk about it. The big thing that makes Justin Trudeau different from the rest. Not just different from the other party leaders. But different from past Liberal leaders and his entire caucus. What is that big thing? It’s how shockingly inexperienced Trudeau is for someone seeking to lead our country. Now that election day is just around the corner and Trudeau is not just in reach of winning a minority but possibly a majority, today’s busy voter deserves to know just how much their potential future prime minister is lacking in credentials. In terms of career experience, all the 43-year-old’s chalked up is a couple years as a teacher in British Columbia. After that, he entered an engineering program but soon dropped out, then started another MA program but dropped that too. He became an MP shortly after, in 2008. In other words, he spent the years before entering politics dabbling in this and that, drifting about without any commitment to work or school. You could never be as dismissive with the CVs of Stephane Dion, Michael Ignatieff or Bob Rae. You might not like their politics, but they are highly accomplished people. Same for the Liberal caucus. Several MPs most Canadians have never heard of – such as Kirsty Duncan, Ted Hsu and Emmanuel Dubourg – have seriously impressive credentials. Trudeau is the least accomplished person on his own team. Yet he’s going to be the one calling the shots? It makes no sense. Do we really want such a person running a G7 nation? Do we really think he’d be able to sit at the international table as an equal with U.S. President Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel? This isn’t just me talking. Nor is this some Conservative smear. During the 2013 Liberal leadership I walked about the room, chatting with party bigwigs. “Really?!” was pretty much the only question I put to them. They mostly shrugged, acknowledging that the selection of Trudeau was about name recognition and style over substance. It’s certainly a positive that the son of a former PM wants to use his celebrity to better the lives of Canadians, rather than treat life like a party. But sooner or later someone has to put a foot down on any delusions of grandeur. Our country is too important to hand over to the lucky sperm club. While Trudeau is riding high in the polls, he may not be as favoured as it seems. It’s highly likely that many voters who have tired of Harper have mistaken their dislike of the current PM for love of Trudeau without actually knowing his credentials. But two wrongs don’t make a right. It’s not a balance sheet on which Harper’s perceived faults automatically turn into Trudeau’s virtues. Besides, if you’re that anti-Harper there’s a very credible and experienced alternative in NDP Leader Tom Mulcair. It’s been clear this campaign that Mulcair is more moderate and pragmatic than Trudeau on a number of issues. Plus Mulcair has the mature “serenity” – a phrase he used to describe himself to the Sun editorial board Tuesday – to represent Canada ably on the world stage. Trudeau lacks that. At this point in the campaign, this is actually the issue that matters most. It’s the question voters need to ask themselves. Does Justin Trudeau have the experience to lead a G7 nation?

Ive been a believe in Buff as having lots of value but I dont know... I guess it depends on what offers the Jets get. Im not sure why getting two or three roster forwards helps the Jets right now. if Buff goes, a depth D man, sure. But prospects/pics are better. if its Ladd, then yes, we'd want a top forward in return.
-
Eklund, yes. But Chevy and two scouts were at the Flyers game. So there's that...

Fantastic! Im very tempted to go to the all day Back to the Future marathon at Silver City. Love that trilogy.

• 33.9 per cent of respondents said they would prefer Trudeau as prime minister • 29.2 per cent preferred Harper • 20.1 per cent preferred NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair • 5.8 per cent preferred Green Party Leader Elizabeth May • 8.7 per cent were unsure Interesting that for all the anti Harper hysteria and rhetoric he consistently came out ahead in preferred PM polls. Until now!

RAW broke a 17 year record for low ratings this past Monday, for those of you keeping score. I guess Kane challenging for the World title in 2015 isnt as awesome as Vince thinks. Also, anyone who saw the Iron Woman match between Bayley and Sasha on the NXT special and then watched how the women are treated on RAW will see one of the glaring issues. -
Apparently, EA did a roster update for NHL 16 last night. Anyone have this? Im thinking of picking it up but Im almost exclusively a BAGM player. I want to know how the Jets, Moose, Prospects rosters are. Anyone....?

Jets had Chevy and two scouts in Philly last night: Hockeybuzz: There were several scouts in Philly last night to take in the game between the Flyers and Hawks and the most well represented were the Winnipeg Jets who had their GM and two top scouts in the building. Often times I get to talk to scouts and the reality is they are just taking in the game because they take in games every night and if they are nearby they will attend... And in regards to probably 5 of the 9 teams in Philly last night I would say that was the case...However, not Winnipeg. Sources tell me they were scouting "3 to 5 players on the Flyers squad" including Wayne Simmonds, Brayden Schenn, and Sam Gagner....bu before we assume this all about Byfuglien, with whom the Flyers have always had interest, I am told in this case it was not about Byfuglien...at least not at this point. "The Buff deal could happen at some point this season or the Draft," but I am hearing the teams are talking about a different, albeit pretty big, deal. The Flyers are definitely interested in moving some salary and would like to get help in their own end as well as secondary scoring... One of the comments I found amusing as when I read it I immediately thought...yeah I might do that. Throw in a prospect/pick Today @ 1:37 PM ET The schenns and Vinny for Buff
