  1. 25 cases and TP 4.5...Wow ! It's almost as if vaccinations work !
  2. News flash Tennessee, Boys and girls have been having sex since teenagers were invented. Such an ignorant line of deduction. Covid and cancer are preferable to young people doing what young people do , discover sex. Like I said f**** me.
  3. F ### me. This is beyond comprehension.
  4. Oh I get that but what is the alternative. Allow the owners of one team to blackmail the rest ,kill a 100 year old league and join another that by all likelihood will fail ? The whole story is written to throw a shadow on the CFL. Its BS and I for one am sick and tired of hearing this crap out of Toronto.
  5. This just seems childish. You won't play the way I want so I'm leaving and starting my own game. If you can't draw 5000 people to games in a legitimate league with over 100 years of history, an exciting structure of game, Canadian rivalry and known players, how many will you draw to games in a league that is just another reincarnation of a league that is a serial failure. Its the same old Toronto is to big for the CFL mindset. It just pisses me off to tell the truth. Other than the TV money I'd like to help them through the door with a boot in the butt. In what way will any of this BS help them get more cheeks on the seats right now ? And I would suggest that's the desired effect of the storey. Good. Leave.
  6. Sometimes I just don't understand how the cops manage to do their job. That would be so tough to be on that scene and then go home and try to act like a normal husband and Dad.
  7. They should have filled in the gopher holes at Mosaic !
  8. I'm on about watch # 4 and I thought I'd watch again close to the season opener
  9. I don't know if it's been mentioned but I just noticed we have surpassed the USA in vaccination rate. 106.4 per 100 in Canada and 99.03 per 100 in the States. They really must have stalled out at some point.
  10. Lol . If nothing else the guy is consistent. In his mind everything comes down to money .I wonder if his kids were/are restricted to 2 squares of TP.
  11. Personally and from what I've seen on this site no one is offended. I have seen little outrage although I'm sure there is some. Some people just disagree with what has happened or the way it happened. Most will also have a understanding that when people are angry and frustrated sh** happens and in this case rightly or wrongly a couple of statues were toppled.
  12. Maps don't remotly show the brutality of the conqueror. The Spanish 's favorite way of submission to both leaders and religion was burning you alive. Hundreds of thousands worked to death at times without food. Historical records burned and destroyed. Citys leveled. Their history in the middle Americas is on a lecel with what the Romans did. Its brutality is unmatched by anything else in the Americas. None of this negates what the British did but your statements are factually wrong
  13. Yes but it is a homo sapien thing. Take a look at the history of Japan in Korea.Or in China. Rome , The middle East or Africa. We happen to live in a place and in a time the sees the ugly result of European colonization. Agreed 👍
  14. I agree that most Empires leave a trail if **** but...if you don't know the British empire is far and away the worst out of the bunch I dont know what to say. That's entirely subjective. Perhaps do a little more study on the Spanish.
  15. If you believe Queen Vicky should come down then include every single prime minister since Confederation. They were all complicit then. And perhaps that is the correct thing to do , Im not sure anymore. You can also include the PMs since Harper's apology since there has been little done to ease the awful conditions on reserves. I would definatly include our current " thanks for the donation " Trudeau in that . That snotty little remark of his is how I will forever remember his relationship with 1st nations.
  16. Or the French, Spanish, Portuguese ,German, Dutch Empires..... It was the way of the times of every empire or wanna be empire. It doesn't make it right but if you want to discuss the damage of colonization outside Canada include everyone. The British were no better or worse than the rest.
  17. I agree with most of the sentiments expressed here. Its a great nation we live in but we do have our scars on our history. And our scars are not healed . They are open wounds for many of our citizens. Perhaps this will be a watershed moment for our country. Perhaps we can " own up " to what happened and start the healing process. Perhaps we can find some national leadership that will finally deal with indigenous issues. There has never been a single one yet of any political stripe. I'm not really all that confident in that ,given our current slate of leaders. On a personal level I have been thinking alot about my own knowledge / ignorance of residential schools. I'm in my 60s and when I grew up all I knew or thought about residential schools is it was where indigenous kids went to school. That's it. No idea that it was forced. That it could be against a parents wishes. Or the conditions. Or the deaths. Or the abuse. Or that alot of parents never saw their kids again. Or the generational damage. My wife who grew up in Vancouver knew even less if that's even possible. It probably wasn't till the late 70s that I started to learn the truth. As I said perhaps this can be a time when things can change . Maybe. We are horribly lacking in leadership right now but maybe a ground swell can force real change. I fear that all the right words will be said and funds will be allocated , and as usual they will disappear into the bureaucracy as they have in the past. In the meantime I will continue to work on my own understanding and education.
  18. I always wondered which one was infallible when there was 2 of them.
  19. If you have a bit of time to kill , Chris Hedges with a great bit on Corporate control of both parties in The USA and their society in general.
  20. Careful Tracker, those are my people and my favorite vaction place. Actually a few weeks ago I was reading they have a similar issue as Manitoba does. Generally good vacc numbers but with pockets of really bad vacc numbers. Its a pretty good forecaster of what will happen here.
  21. So 6 months ago or so my wife asked the Winkler Super Store manager why he was letting people in without masks and not dealing with them according to the rules. His answer was because if he called the Police they wouldn't come because the city council told them not to respond to those requests. Take that with a grain of salt because the guy is generally non compliant and it easily could have been BS. Or not. There were and are other buisnesses in town that rigidly enforce mask policy and I don't believe they have lost many customers. We among many, many others now limit our business in that community. I go when I have to and only to places that have at least attempted to follow the rules. Probably less than 1/4 of what we use to. On OB 68 Winklers mayor said Stanley was at %17. So when I think I need to go there I'll just remind myself that if I walk by 10 people not even 2 of them are vaccinated. F-ing awful.
  22. What I have heard is the virus is never likely to be totally gone. So they are expecting to have outbreaks in areas where there are low vaccination rates in the future. I would imagine that will bleed out into rest of the province a certain amount
  23. Winnipeg health - 791,000 Southern Health - 211,000 Prairie Mountain -172,000 Inter Lake Health-133,000 Northern Health- 77,000 So in theory Southern should have 1/3 to 1/4 of the cases. BUT, it should be way less than that because larger centers usually generate higher percentages by shear contact numbers. Last week I tried to get my shot 10 days early at a walk in due to a business situation. (Wasted the better part of 2 days and never got the shot ) But I was talking for 3 or 4 hours to a guy from Winkler. He works a one of the bigger factories there and said he figured only %25 of his co-workers had a shot. I got my 2nd yesterday by the way.
