It's gone beyond sanity. I was an avid hunter for most of my life. We lived off what I shot and grew for many many years. ( and without hydro and running water for a while lol ) I was part of a Manitoba champion shooting team as a teen. I also considered myself a Christian for many years. 3 flakes of snow and no one can hang on to the football.

We are 1 1/2 hrs to the west .We have 6 inches of snow and 2 foot drifts in places.Visability is poor at times. The highway is open but ugly. My wife was supposed to go to work but is canceling. BUT we are on top of the escarpment so sometimes things are different here.

So ........I wonder if he thinks people from Winkler should stay out of the ICUs in the province. Because I don't think Boundry Trails has one. I know dozens of people ( including myself ) who no longer do business in Winkler. We use other towns and cities including Winnipeg. One of the things I have noticed in Winnipeg is things have pretty much returned to normal. You wear your mask, distance when you can and flash your vax passport when asked. No big deal. It's as close to normal as could be expected.

Last time I heard they had one of the worst death rates.

I'm not sure we can do total shutdowns anymore. I suspect we are looking at years of this. I dont think our society can handle it economically or socially. But, broadening of vaccine passport requirements ? Yes ! More enforcement ? Yes, especially in areas that we know aren't compliant. And bring a big hammer when you do it. No tickets since October in Southern is ridiculous.

I am part of an organization with multiple branches in Manitoba ,one of which is mine. The head of this organization has been involved for over 40 years in it. I studied under that person for many many years.I had a great deal of respect and admiration for them.But they have fallen down the rabbit hole of anti mask/Vax. That means the 30 + people in that branch are out of luck. So after 40 years they are willing to ignore a life's work and at least temporarily close the branch. Frankly I don't understand it. Meanwhile my branch continues on. I am considering my options as far as my association with the organization. I'm sorry this is all so vague but I'm not willing to give details out. Just voicing my frustration and disappointment.

My son's wife is re-entering the healthcare system after being off on maternity leave. She will be dealing with a certain group in Southern who will have a very,very high rate of non compliance for vaccinations. She said part of her job as well as the medical part will be trying to convince them to get vaccinated. I worry about her.

Manitoba curlers certainly ruled the women's side of the trials ,3 out of the top 4 in the round robin. I feel bad for Fleury after she was so dominate all tournament. Take notice Bombers.
