  1. Intersting. I mean, Walters selected Schmeckel and presumably brought in Jackson to begin with. If they're such lesser players why were they even brought to camp? Or maybe the players released weren't as good as their press clippings made them out to be. Mario Urrutia comes to mind. How do we know Deng even showed up in shape? Burtenshaw? Oh no we lost a Canadian FB, such a crucial position in the o... all that said, gun to my head I'd roll with Walters and let OShea head home out East if I could only choose one. Walters has been with the blue through a lot, as a coach first then as a GM. Not an easy choice, one I hope we don't ever have to make.
  2. I used to be happy just to make the playoffs. Hosting the playoffs? Dare to dream! These are the good times, I hope everyone is enjoying them
  3. You go right on ahead and compare Salima to two of the greatest QB's the CFL has produced haha I won't stop you, but Collaros and Ray were never once cut from any CFL team and even at his lowest point of his career Collaros was still viewed as a good QB with injury issues and was being dealt for conditional picks that eventually led to his Blue and Gold revenge tour. Ricky Ray was driving truck following his college career when he got the call from the 49ers, years before he ever arrived in the CFL. His San Francisco teammates gave him the moniker Frito-Ray. Ricky Ray was playing pro ball in some indoor league for Rick Worman who sent him the CFL's way. I like the MBT comparison, since he actually spent time on a CFL PR before being cut and brought in by someone else the following season. Although, he had a pretty high profile for a never-done-nothin QB at his age because of all his NFL stints, so everyone around the league had probably heard of him already, which may account for him getting more chances than others do. I'm not saying Salima is no good, same goes for the rest of our recent cuts, they may resurface and we've brought guys back before for second looks too. I'm just saying maybe they aren't as good as we fans like to think/hope they are. Pigrome was our next big up and comer, til he wasn't, and now he can't get a look ahead of Dustin Crum. We fans do like to get ahead of ourselves some times is all
  4. I great now I'm dyslexic AND I forgot about thanksgiving, son ***** of a
  5. I'd like to see either get a shot at doing a little more pass pro. Dobson was nothing to write home about when he played in Gray's spot but it was only his first start.
  6. Are any gravy-related activities happening this weekend? Is it poutine week again already?
  7. Teams will pounce all over these moves, these players are too good not be on a roster just like Jordan Salima OH WAIT
  8. What is the significance of the bracketed 62 next to Thomas' name?
  9. Did TSN capture the Andrew Harris tribute before the game started? He received quite a generous ovation, you'd hope that would have smoothed things over a bit.
  10. Yes they did well, only 1 procedure call that i remember, but it wiped out a decent chunk of yards and led to a stop iirc (I havent seen the TV replay yet). I like our chances more at home than on the road, any help from the crowd is welcome.
  11. TSN doesn't do the volume of a sold out IGF justice. It is deafening at times. Home field advantage is real
  12. Sure and I want Streveler as my backup, I like players that make plays
  13. He's also only 70 yards back from Harris' receiving totals from that same year, Oliveira is no one trick pony. MOC and MOP
  14. Yes for sure the Nationalized American part makes sense. I don't understand how (or why) he would be listed as both NA and DA. What is the benefit or drawback of doing this, if any? I legitimately assumed it was a printing error on their depth chart. NA can replace any American for the entirety of the game, or replace a National for 29 plays. A DA can only play teams and replace other Americans. Seems like the two would conflict? I am missing something
  15. Actually I was wondering one thing, what benefit do the BC Lions get from having Nick Usher as both a Nationalized American and Designated American? Is there any benefit? Either I'm missing something, or it's a waste
  16. That's what a bad D looks like. That's a bend then break D right there.
  17. Saw him double-clutch on a crosser to Demski I believe it was, completely threw him off his route... I agree, he is too often bouncing around when he has time to throw, he's expecting his protection to collapse, whether it does or not
  18. I'm curious too, I saw the flag come out and Argo players coming out on the field in protest for a sec, but missed the actual deed
  19. I forgot to look for Hansen out there, did he dress tonight? He didn't get on the stat sheet tonight
  20. Agreed, and it worked well enough too. Passes to the flats, runs up the gut or occasionally off tackle, the occasional shot downfield (usually we see Schoen and Lawler haul them in, less so tonight), if Collaros showed his usual touch we win by a lot more. Not that it would count for more in the standings or anything.
  21. 1 Brady 2 Woli 3 Prukop and the short yardage crew HH $5 coors prior to kickoff
  22. Not a lot of the success on deep strikes we are used to, Lawler was a ghost for a stretch, Collaros overthrowing receivers, no sacks or picks, field goals instead of TDs, lots to be disappointed in, far from a perfect game, but hey, we won! I'll take narrowly beating a backup qb over narrowly losing to a backup qb every time
