  1. Love to see some young'ns getting a shot. Would have liked to see Dobson and Eli listed as starters with the vets on standby if anyone faltered... they'll at least get the second half I hope...? I would expect Auggie to take over at RB fairly early. Personally I'd be protecting Grant but whatever, can't rest everybody.
  2. I was looking for a way to superimpose Rider logos over the Cleveland stuff but decided it would be far more effort than it is worth.
  3. O'Day absolutely deserves the chance to prove he can right the ship. He's the mastermind architect that brought in top flight free agent QB Trevor Harris on a 2 year deal and heck, he'll only be 38 next season! And Dolegala gives them that incredible 1A/1B flexibility all teams envy. Don't nap on those 2024 Riders!
  4. In nearly 40 years I've never once been to the States. I've been across Canada and spent a week or more in each of Spain, Germany, Denmark, and The Netherlands, but never once crossed the American border. For what? Cereal? Tahiti Treat? Civil forfeitures? No thank you. Though I would like to go to Vegas one day.
  5. Imagine paying for the opportunity to pay to drink Pilsner
  6. My seats are in the upper deck and I'm barely ever there now, mixing it up on the concourse is the greatest. The widened concourse at either endzone (North side especially) is just a fun spot to watch the game. Close to washrooms, close to drinks and food, no stairs, quick exits, jumbotron (and cannon) right over your shoulder... perfect hearing is overrated anyways, and sitting is for the ride home!
  7. Agreed, and I have similar thoughts looking at HAM's #'s as well... a lot of expectation led to that bandwagon being at 94%. We have expectation here too, of course, but the Bombers are actually backing it up Agreed here too. I know IGF looks deceptively bare to the field camera at times, but I can confidently say most of those people are in the concourse or at packed around the rum hut. Not sure we can give BMO the same benefit of the doubt when we see swathes of empty seats. 50% full at best, at any given time
  8. Re: attendance w/ 1 final week to go, ranked by average attendance/game: #1 WPG averaging 30,448 fans / game, 92.2% occupancy, 4 sellouts, low of 25,662 #2 SSK averaging 27,648 fans / game, 82.9% occupancy, 1 sellout, low of 24,158 #3 EDM averaging 24,774 fans / game, 44.5% occupancy**, 0 sellouts, low of 19,921 #4 BC averaging 23,208 fans / game, 42.6% occupancy**, 0 sellouts, low of 20,106 #5 HAM averaging 22,877 fans / game, 94.14% occupancy rate*, 3 sellouts, low of 20,912 #6 CGY averaging 22,074 fans / game, 61.9% occupancy, 0 sellouts, low of 17,942 #7 OTT averaging 18,921 fans / game, 76.74% occupancy rate, 0 sellouts, low of 18,004 #8 MTL averaging 17,828 fans / game, 89.03% occupancy rate, 2 sellouts, low of 15,088 #9 TOR averaging 14,310 fans / game, 56.74% occupancy rate, 1 sellout, low of 11,555 *HAM only has capacity of 24,300 to begin with, hence the highest occupancy rate league-wide **EDM has a capacity of 55,614, BC has a capacity of 54,500, hence the very low occupancy rates even on good days Frankly, I give props to the SSK and EDM fans for showing up at all considering how terribly their seasons went. It's a complete disgrace that 2 teams out of the playoffs ended up #2 and #3 in overall attendance while the top team in the league is dead last by a large margin. If SSK is a telethon team then what does that make the rest of the entire friggin' league? OTT worries me the most out of anyone... a nice new-ish stadium with dwindling attendance season over season and a **** team with no direction or glimmer of hope for the future... maybe we should do another expansion draft to make them competitive for a season or two again (not serious, obviously)
  9. Thanks for the heads up, you aren't kidding! Very slim pickins but I found 2 suitable seats. Can't wait!
  10. 38 year old me would lose his **** now watching Rancid open! I looooove Out Comes the Wolves, it's hands down front to back my favorite punk album of all time
  11. Brady always comes through and is a good bet, but I'm gunning for that tie-breaker before playoffs start. Might end up costing me but hey, we're gambling with the houses money so I'm okay living a little dangerously
  12. Well Gordo we could always split it 50/50 haha Just kidding, let's do this! Alexander Hollins. I have little faith CGY can keep their O on the field. BC should have plenty of chances to score and the way they throw deep often...
  13. I don't know that he's being targeted, and he's so damn elusive and shifty that given a little space they can target him all they want, they aren't getting a clean hit... It's those bang-bang catch-hit plays where a defender tees off on him immediately after the catch that are a little too frequent and adding up. He's an absolute warrior for hanging on so often and getting those yards we need when we need them. It's the cost of doing business, I don't know if he can protect himself better while still making the plays he does now.
  14. I hope by 'big injury' he just means the type of injury that forces you to miss a few weeks. I bet Schoen has all kinds of 'little injuries' that he plays through judging by the pummeling he takes each week. Rest for Schoen may turn out to be a great thing come playoffs.
  15. Washed down with a watery hot chocolate from a styrofoam cup. The good stuff!
  16. Hall has long been about keeping the play infront of the DBs and getting pressure with the DL. Mix in the occasional telegraphed LB or safety blitz. It has worked very well when our DL was consistently disrupting plays and forcing rushed passes. Now, with inconsistent pressure QBs have time to find receivers in the soft spots making it look like pitch and catch at times (far too often really). I suspect sometimes that the telegraphed blitzes are an attempt to 'establish to pass rush' so to speak, so that when we show blitz but instead are dropping back into coverage the QB is much more likely to spot the blitz and bite, thinking a spot on the field is going to be open? I don't know. Maybe it's just about keeping it simple.
  17. Not sure about the punch, but the spitter was 68 Pier-Olivier Lestage
  18. One of the grossest reasons for a walk of shame back to the locker room
