  1. Masoli wouldn't be my choice but if someone had to come in off the bench and run a CFL offense I think I he could still make plays. But given we still have Wilson I don't think it's that critical. I agree with Tyree Adams being the better fit at this time. If only just to bring him as a camp arm and see if he's recovered.
  2. I'd say you could do a lot worse than having Masoli as a vet backup. He'd be the poor man's Collaros at this point given he can't run much anymore. But theoretically our line would do a lot better to protect both of them.
  3. We will learn a lot by how well he performs this year. No excuses as I think he has the tools now. I believe he will have a huge bounce back year.
  4. He's looking for his best pay day. Can't really blame him. I'd imagine Walters gave him a pretty low offer given how much money we threw around so far this off-season. I agree with 17to85. He's not here so whatever.
  5. Our biggest problem last year IMO was that we lost both lines of scrimmage. And it was especially bad on offense because we had virtually zero game breaking receivers. How that came to be can be debated. But, I am glad they spent on both lines this off-season.
  6. Was excited for Kelly but he's one of those guys I think that needs to take the next step or he'll be on the outside looking in.
  7. Not sure where he ranked last year, just that he was the best Canadian OL available in free agency. Supply and demand. So he picks up a big salary, but is he that good? While Broxton is American, he ranked the best Lineman, period...and plays the most important position on offense outside of the QB. Gotta love it
  8. Didn't JSK play some MLB in Hamilton? Could work better over Tony Jones in Jordan Younger's style of defense...blitzing/coverage.
  9. MBT would be the only guy worth bringing in but just doesn't seem like a FIFO guy.
  10. Yeah I'm not sure either. They will likely take one of Artopeous and Wilson and one of Thorne and Perkins. I can't imagine they will start the year with Collaros and no CFL experience behind him. My guess it will be TD Terry running short yardage and Perkins waiting in the wings.
  11. Mark digging up some repressed memories relating to The Factor.
  12. Ourbombers was a strange and magical place
  13. Combination of Big Stan and Broxton (I'm assuming) on the left side is going to be wild. Eli should have a tonne of confidence in the middle when he doesn't have to worry about anything to his left. Snap the ball and do your job.
  14. Then I don't see it being a problem at all. The recovery was closer to having a vasectomy than having an ACL tear. And I my athleticism is being pretty good on a low level slow pitch team.
  15. Not a doc but I've had ACL surgery twice and meniscus surgery once. Meniscus recovery was a walk in the park. I had a bucket handle tear.
  16. And 2 moves to the d line. Thomas out and Ceresna in. Both lines will be vastly improved. If you subscribe to the notion that teams are only as good as their lines, you're loving this. Receivers vastly improved with Tim White and Tommy Nield Running back status quo (great) QB. Zach is Zach. He will likely thrive with the overall talent built around him. But it might be nice to get a good backup. Linebackers status quo (should be fine but obviously would be nice to be better) DBs should be just as good if not better with Moxey Special teams we are status quo (good) It should be a great year.
  17. Wasn't there a bonus of 75k? Or can they apply that to last year's SMS?
  18. Yeah White not necessarily without faults. But he should come in and be a more of a legit number 1 guy. Last year we came in with many 2-3 guys hoping that we didn't need a top flight guy and it failed. I don't think there was anyone out there that would be as impact of a signing, so we needed this.
  19. I like the idea of Robustelli or Eberhardt as up and comers to add to the American group. Could be a big reward. Still think we could and should improve our Canadian receivers with Brissett.
  20. Yep assuming everyone is healthy coming out of camp, that's better than Wheatfall/Demski and a hobbled Schoen we had our of camp last year.
  21. Agree. I'm looking for guys that are taking the next step. I think Brissett is one of those
  22. Yeah which I don't think we have in house. Unless you think Wheatfall has any more to give. Who do you like from the league free agent list? All 3 are a meh. Willie in a rotational role but I don't think he'd play for that kind of money.
  23. Looking at the BB free agent list...I'm not sure there's anyone left we really NEED to sign. Is there anyone who you think we should sign? Successful offseason thus far. Time to start looking at other teams' free agents IMO. I'm still thinking Brissett from Toronto would be a great add.
  24. That's awesome. The existing ones were starting to have problems. Glad they are on top of this
