  1. Not to Democracy and the American people in general. Oh no.......
  2. Mitch wants Trump gone, but by delaying this McConnell can: Pose as a law and order/defender of the constitution, by "punishing" Trump and (more importantly) prevent him from running again Not have to face the red hat odium, by kicking out Trump before his term ends. He would take heat...but he is not up for re-election
  3. Watchdog: Corporations, trade groups gave $170M to Republicans who objected to election results https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/534101-corporations-trade-groups-gave-170m-to-republicans-who-objected-to-election Yup, name the names....
  4. JT simply to stand back and issue the usual platitudes.......and wait for the Loyal Opposition to implode....
  5. Cowards trying to play at being patriots...
  6. Sitting here listening to the House members take their 2 minutes, to speak on impeachment vote. So, far a slew of Republican objectors, babbling on about how Trump did nothing wrong, how badly poor Trump was treated, by the Democrats, and the corrupt media, in the service of crazed socialists. One guy kept drivelling on about Hollywood leftists and something Robert DeNiro said about Trump. Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz delivered some typical utter mendacious ranting and raving (big surprise) The more "moderate" GOP types talking about not holding Trump responsible in the name of ....."unity" "moving on" "healing the nation" "preventing divisions" and other weaselly words What a bad joke.
  7. Why apologize. His GOP cohorts wearing the big iron, just had their rights trampled on. Perhaps they should organize a protect march, or something.......
  8. More and more stories are going to come out on all the enablers......along with this President, Administration, who historically, will live in infamy....
  9. Yup, but Trump ignoring stimulus negotiations, until the 600.00 deal was done, then jumping in with the demand for 2K, put Mitch and the Georgia candidates on the griddle
  10. Capitol riot fueled by deep network of GOP statehouse support Stolen election lie had backing from party’s governing class at every level, extending far beyond Congress and the White House https://www.politico.com/news/2021/01/13/republican-legislatures-trump-conspiracy-458507 Mentioned in an earlier post.... that it would be interesting to see how many Republicans were complicit, in aiding and supporting the riot. The GOP - the self proclaimed party of patriots, "law and order and "personal responsibility" Grotesque.
  11. That's fine. He can come back to DC, and take a role.....in Biden's White House delousing program
  12. Looking ahead to Inauguration, appears that US is now spending millions to protect GOP lawmakers from the GOP mobs McConnell was already furious about Trump's antics, leading to the Georgia losses.......and relegating him to Minority Leader
  13. If nothing else, McConnell runs a pretty tight ship there. This didn't leak out accidentally. No denial, at all, from him about the Times story, either........
  14. Pence rejects calls to invoke 25th Amendment to remove Trump https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/533957-pence-rejects-calls-to-invoke-25th-amendment Kicking the ball back into the Senate court....... GOP lawmakers introduce resolution to censure Trump over Capitol riot https://thehill.com/homenews/house/533953-gop-lawmakers-introduce-resolution-to-censure-trump-over-capitol-attack Yup, just give him a slap on the wrist. Trump has learned his lesson, and would never do anything like that again..... GOP lawmakers' fiery language under more scrutiny after deadly Capitol riot https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/12/politics/gop-lawmakers-fiery-language-under-scrutiny-invs/index.html Take note of this nugget.... "Ali Alexander, a leader of the "Stop the Steal" group, said in several Periscope livestream videos last month that he planned the rally that preceded the riot in conjunction with Rep. Gosar and two other congressional Republicans, Mo Brooks of Alabama and Andy Biggs of Arizona"
  15. Liz Chaney has just announced she will vote to impeach Trump
  16. Come on. Trump only blindsided and double crossed him on the stimulus bill, making him a scapegoat for the MAGAbillies. Then Mitch had to cower on the floor, then flee, as the Trump Insurrection stormed the Capitol Building. And listen to Trump stating that his speech to that mob was "completely appropriate." Just not enough......for a tipping point, yet
  17. Nothing but appropriate statements and perfect phone calls from the esteemed President.......
  18. A Walk of Shame would work....
  19. GOP lawmakers told Trump takes some responsibility for Capitol riot https://thehill.com/homenews/house/533754-gop-lawmakers-told-trump-takes-some-responsibility-for-capitol-riot Above is the official video of Trump on his knees sobbing and telling McCarthy "I did this. All my fault, I feel ashamed....what have I done?" Fortunately the President was soon able to get back to business as usual..... Trump defends remarks before Capitol riots, calling them 'totally appropriate' https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/533802-trump-defends-remarks-before-capitol-riots-calling-them-totally

  25. At least 15 top Trump officials didn't have to put up with it either. To say nothing about the crazy turnover rate in the upper echelons. Chaotic. Just the way The Don liked it.....
