That pizza promotion had zero to do with the league. The CFL forced them to shut it down as they weren't given permission for it.

When pcw started up (as well as a few other promotions), there was a lot of poaching of workers going on. It sucked as a fan because the best guys were split between different promotions so you never truly saw the best of what the local scene could offer as the different promotions would want exclusivity. Its been really good lately between cwe and pcw but if WPW comes in and starts rocking the boat (especially since they dont really have a roster of their own), I could see how it might become an issue.

To be fair, I remember people like Ernie saying the same thing almost 20 years ago when some other promotions started popping up. Not saying it's the same situation though as i was way more in touch with the local scene back then so I have no idea what the story is behind the scenes these days.

Fogg should be in the dual threat category, imo.

The last rumour I had read (on a facebook group so take it with a huge grain of salt), was that Cineplex wanted a stand alone theatre built behind Canadian Tire. Whatever the case/location, they desperately need a new theater there. It's terrible when you compare it to some of the other theaters around the city.

USports defensive player of the year and got himself a minicamp invite from the Giants. Drafted by Edmonton in 2016 but never made their team. Signed with Montreal in 2017. Played in 15 games that season on teams but missed all of last season with an injury. He'll be teams depth for sure but given that, barring another injury, this will only be his 2nd actual season, who knows how the team sees him fitting in or what his ceiling is.

The only plausible reason why he would entertain an offer from them is to use it as leverage over the other teams.

Not a fan of Jay White at all...he's not a bad worker or anything but he just doesn't do anything for me. He falls way short of being on the level of Omega or Okada, IMO. NJPW isn't doing him any favours with the way they have rushed to make him a star (ex: putting the strap on him so soon when Kenny struggled for so long to get there. Or making him BC leader as soon as he joins and right after the turned on Kenny saying BC are all equal and have no leader). It just seems very uneven compare to their past booking.

Lee just got his new deal so there's now even less money in BC.

The age difference between them is the same as it was when they met previously and there were zero issues then so why is it an issue now? Is Jericho the same worker he was 10 years ago? Nope, but if you watch his last few matches, he can still go. There are definitely guys who have hung on too long and should have stopped sooner but Jericho isn't at that point.

This is pretty much what I figured... once Meltzer reported that he turned down the WWE offer, you pretty much knew what was happening. It's wrestling though so it's never a done deal until you see it with your own eyes. Something I found interesting is that NJPW removed the profiles for Baretta & Chucky T almost instantly when they jumped yesterday but Kenny's profile is still up. I wonder if they are hoping they can still work with him like they are with Jericho.
