Just because the fan base is confident doesn't mean the players are taking things lightly. I can't see an MOS led team ever doing this. They keep the same mentality every game - the goal is to be 1-0 this week, what happened earlier doesn't matter.

Players absolutely care. It's not just a pride thing either, some players have all-star clauses in their contract so this stuff affects their finances as well.

Yeah, he's not just collecting a pay cheque like many CFL'ers who catch on with an NFL team. He's been one of their better defenders and still has room to grow/learn.

You have to also consider how bad the team was back then. The prospect of getting two NFL caliber players offered a bit of hope. Now it would just be a bonus.

It's up to O'Day to bring the players in but Dickenson would have input to what the roster looks like. The GM doesn't work independently of the coaches/scouts so they are all responsible for that glorious mess over there.
