  1. Bauming tweeted yesterday that the team had been trying to make some moves lately... wonder if Durant might be part of that.

So it seems JBJ got a reduced suspension by ratting on other fighters. Gotta think his teammates might not be too thrilled with him. https://www.bloodyelbow.com/platform/amp/2018/9/24/17898328/jon-jones-must-provide-all-information-he-has-ufc-ped-users-usada-mma-news?__twitter_impression=true
  3. I think June Jones is saying a bunch right now!
  4. Riders should be on at least a 4 game losing streak right now. I don't remember the last game they won that wasn't handed to them by the other team.
  5. Funny you mention this... meltzer just retweeted this, even though it's a couple years old.

Other than Brock, Ronda & Conor, his numbers (320k-850k) compare favorably with the other top guys so he's up there & is still fighting so he has time to match or pass a couple of them. GSP seems to have also needed a big opponent to get his numbers which ranged between 400k (Serra 1) & 950k (Diaz). Silva was similar (300k for Pat Cote or 1.2 million for the Wiedman rematch).

Yep, Muslims of America, he turned informant on them which is why he hasn't been deported yet based on his criminal record. He has another son he doesn't take care of... he bailed on that kid & his mother when he flipped on MOA.

There's a huge amount of crazy **** with Ali. The child support is minor in comparison. Most mma media won't report on it though because he controls access to a very large number of fighters and reporters won't risk losing that.

He's the 6th highest draw all time for the UFC based on total buys and average buys. Only Conor, GSP, Brock, Ronda and Silva ahead of him.
  10. I don't recall the size difference being that big (at least initially... this is Blade Runner Sting (1986) vs NWA Sting (1988) vs
  11. This is a huge factor in how well the stunner did. I, personally, always preferred the Diamond Cutter as there was more variety to it but Austin always had people (for the most part) who could sell it so well. The fact that Austin was way more over than a guy like DDP plays a big part too.

Yes, JBJ still carries weight... there are so few top stars right now that even guys who have been away for a while (see GSP, Brock), will still sell pay per views. The legit heat between him & DC helps with that and so does being arguably the best fighter in the world. I'm not sure how much weight his name carries outside of mma though (he's certainly no where near Brock or Conor). He's still in his prime & this is not his first lengthy layoff (which actually helps as there's less wear & tire on his body) so I have no doubt he'll still be at a very high level. Based on his history & USADA's previous suspensions for other fighters... he should still be on the shelf though.
  13. Sting has openly admitted to using in his pre/early wrestling days & said that he completely stopped in 1990 (he was already a star with WCW at that point).

Money talks with USADA apparently... They give out way heavier punishments to lesser known fighters and have essentially ended careers. It's a joke at this point. JBJ is a repeat offender and was only tested once since re-entering the doping pool while guys like Cormier, who have never failed a test, get tested 15 times?

Jon Jones gets a retroactive 15 month ban. Eligible to come back at the end of October which means he's good for the MSG card.
  16. Its 65 women saying he's always been a perfect gentleman, not 65 women accusing him of assault. But that goes back to what TUP said... he knew this could be an issue so he went out ahead of time and rounded up a bunch of women who would speak glowingly about him.
  17. GTFOH with that Canada's team bull***t. Riderfans.com is that way ---> 🚪

  19. If the Bucks and Kenny mention it on Twitter, I think it would have no problem drawing people from outside of Winnipeg.
  20. The current jerseys might not have the tramp stamp but there are still a ton of Rider fans wearing the ones that do!
  21. They will be using the same manufacturer that Adidas did and aren't altering the design so the jerseys should be pretty similar (at least for next season).
  22. Not sure how available he actually is/was. Rainey says he's back in the lineup this week & his benching was just an attempt by the coaches to motivate him.
