  1. I don't think it changes much to be honest. Dobson was always a futures pick and we knew was not going to be here for 2021 because of school and 2022/23 was most likely when he was going to be chasing an NFL spot. The USFL deal might mean he's out until 2024 but who knows if that will be the case - he was the last OG taken in their draft (with one team even opting not to take a 2nd guard) so it wasn't like teams were scrambling to grab him. His NFL prospects also might not be as good originally speculated, if he's already decided to go the USFL route (meaning he's likely not getting drafted or signed as a priority FA so he'll need to put in more work).
  2. I wouldn't necessarily blame the media specifically in this case.... this is 3downnation we're talking about here. It's a glorified blog site. The headline is s**t but they do mention all those guys (and others) in the actual article.
  3. Yeah, in the CFL.ca article, Stove even talked about how much he enjoyed that scenery when the Bombers would be playing out there. He flat out said it played a part in his decision to leave so good for him getting paid and moving to an area he really enjoys.

  5. I'm leaning towards Ottawa. Collins also said people would be shocked to hear who it was. Gave me a "As if a team that bad would turn me down" kinda vibe.
  6. I don't think he ever made it to camp with us. He was signed by in Jan 2016 and released in early May 2016, prior to camp starting. He signed with Sask a couple weeks later.
  7. I wonder which team said this...
  8. That hasn't stopped the Argo's apparently. This week's insider talk article on 3DownNation has a bit about that:
  9. There's our replacement for McGuire.
  10. I'm assuming he's talking about the fact that Bowman was unable to order the police to remove protesters due to provincial legislation which prevents elected officials from directing the operations of the police.
  11. From one of the articles I read, it sounded like Harris reached out to Pete Costanza and that's what got talks with Toronto going. Since he was acting as his own agent, maybe Harris hadn't reached out to every team?
  12. For me, not having NHL'ers has certainly decreased my interest (in the hockey at least) but my interest in other sports isn't what it normally is (curling for example, I'm trying to follow the scores but have not watched a second of it). Not sure if it's just the time difference or what but yeah it's not the same.
  13. Well they have rebuilt as their rosters are fairly different... whether or not they've improved is still to be determined.
  14. I still hate this so much... f**k rewarding mediocrity, especially in the 1 year contract era where teams can quickly rebuild their roster through Free Agency (like Edmonton and Ottawa have done).
  15. I would take BC's top 4 (Burnham, Lucky, Cottoy and Rhymes) over Sask's.
  16. I would call or email the Bomber Store. I bought a blank road jersey after the 2019 GC and they had no problem adding Willie's name/number to it.
  17. We can start hanging them at IGF West. Lots of room over there that will never get used.
  18. Agreed for Bomber gear but I will to to a place like this for stuff the team doesn't sell, like autographed memorabilia.
  19. The "ever" is too tramp stamp-ish for me... Leave that s**t for the Riders!
  20. He had a knee injury at some point but was a healthy scratch towards the end of the season. 3DownNation had a small mention for him in their Free Agent DB rankings.
  21. Ahh the eternal struggle! I'm in the same boat since picking a name for a jersey is always tough for me. In the past I would usually end up going with a past Bomber great but after back to back cups it's hard not to go with a current player (went with Willie J last time).
  22. Agreed. A week ago, I had two hopes for Harris - move into the Bombers top 5 all-time yards list & move into the CFL top 5 all-time rushing leaders. Obviously he won't be doing the former but I'll still be pulling for him to do the latter.
  23. How so? By saying there's a bit less respect him based on the way he handled his exit from the team? He's still a legend and future hall of famer in this city and his exit will not change that. Nobody is trashing the guy or his abilities but he openly admits he was not in the condition (mentally and physically) he needed to be last season and his reasons for leaving are contradictory. Should we be praising him for this?
