  1. Millanovich for OC and Benevides for DC
  2. How bout Nik Lewis as Fullback
  3. We need an import Tackle and if Harrison or Washington will be available, it would nice to add a younger veteran OT in the lineup to replace January. I wouldn't mind Brackenridge if he will be available, I'm not sure if we can keep both Sears (NFL aspiration) and Washington. Brackenridge will be an upgrade and can slot him anywhere as SAM, HB or S. I'm not sure if Walters can bring back Chris Matthews here but would like to see the UB connection of Willy and Jackson here. Although I would assume Jackson will exhaust his NFL aspirations next year.
  4. If we're talking anyone up for grabs, I would add: QB: Brohm OL: Heenan WR: Tasker, Grant, Miles, Carter RB: Walter, not sure I'd take Steele, but Sutton looks good. Haven't had a chance to look at the defense yet. I see Cotton and Sutton as both similar back. I like a combo smallish and bigger RB. Cotton stands as 5.08 while Steele is 6.00. Cotton gets the big yard runs while Steele (or a bigger back) gets the short hard yards.
  5. How much is Picard earning right now? I believe some of their big earners are pending FAs too ... like Foley.
  6. Did you not include Heenan and Jones b/c you are just assuming they will resign in Sask/Cgy? I got a feeling they will stay where they are right now. Riders can easily dump Picard's salary to re-up Heenan. They have Watman to take over in C and can resign Dan Clark too. I'm not sure if Jones already finished his medical studies in Calgary, if not, that's a big reason for him to stay. I think, Riders will come after him hard. Riders has proven that they dont care about the SMS limit. They can pay the penalty if needed be.
  7. ratio wise, i think it's easier to establish the 2 DT as NI spots than find the 4th starting NI OL. if Walters can manage to... ... bring Westerman and/or DonnyO ... then trade for the rights of Gill... ... then bring Bilukidi here (who I believe has no PR eligibility left for next year). with Thomas and Lucas as depth guys
  8. Who I like.... OL: Holmes, Epelle, O'Donell, Bryant, Harrison or Washington WR: Watt, Jackson RB: Steele, Sutton DL: Oramasionwu, Westerman, Anderson, Lemon, Willis LB: Woods, Wild, Bowman, Hurl DB: Bucknor, MacDougall, Sears, Brackenridge, Washington
  9. Looks like there will be some good options for the Bombers OC
  10. I think Walters should bid for any of these 3 Zaleski, Fortin or Matechuk. We need an LS and its a high-priority .

  12. I'm with the Demski for the 2nd overall camp. Pick OLs on the 11th and the 20th. If the Bombers really need to shore up the OL for next year's campaign, we need a vet or 2, who can play right away.
  13. Would you know until when is Lirim's existing contract? I think they need to extend him for a number of years too. Willy, Lirim and Stoudermire.... Those are Walters guys. Nice!
  14. I think convincing Etch to show the playbook to the D will go along ways. although I'm not sure how many pages it contains
  15. how 'bout ... Dyce as Passing Game Coordinator Gibson as Running Game Coordinator instead of keeping Bellefuile
  16. I can see BC, Ottawa and Toronto. But Sask, I believe is happy with Chamblin, plus Cortez might bolt if they change HC.
  17. Desjardins might be interested and he doesnt care if he overpays.
  18. I think Bears biggest problem is on the D. Poor coaching? Poor schemes? Lack of discipline?
  19. I'll tell you right now, the Bombers would be prepared to give Milanovich a HC salary to be their OC. He'll consider $$$ offers to escape the dumpster fire in Toronto. Same $$$ range for less responsibility (OC), I think that's a good offer. Are the Bombers thinking to get Burke the DC back here also?

  21. I think Walters is well aware of this based on his comments on H&L yesterday. He basically said a successful long term strategy is to draft 2 OLineman each draft. One early that can compete with the team this year and one later that can develop and come back the following year. Unfortunately you can't magically fix an O-Line over night. Amazing how fast Drowsy Joe Mack took it apart two years ago. That was like, two days. Lost Labatte & Picard. Now it takes years to rebuild. You gotta stop acting like we actually had Picard when Mack was here. He was never on this team when Mack was here. Never mind that Picard isn't the difference between a good OL and a bad OL either. As per Walters his approach is to draft 1 OL on first 2 rounds and at least 1 on the later rounds. The first picked OL is expected to compete and make the roster (eg. Goossen) The later pick(s) will be sent back to school to develop (eg. Everett) I wouldn't say its a winning formula but it's a lot better than not having any formula at all (Mack)
  22. They might have an opening for OC there but I'm not sure if he has ties with Higgins, who will be his head coach if he comes back there.
  23. Very nice to hear. I wasn't sure if he was playing DL or OL this year. Chris Greaves 2.0 I like to see he's excelling in his limited time as a guard.. Can't remember if Greaves played a season in university as an o-liner or not... Regardless, getting those extra snaps means he's that much ahead of the curve when he lands here full time.. Does anyone know where he lined up this season? (Everett, not Greaves) from this shot, he's manning the RG spot. #51
  24. If Trestman becomes available, I wonder if Marcel Desjardins will make a pitch to bring him back to the CFL. This GM spends like there's a fountain of cash inside the RedBlack's basement.
