    An interesting darkhorse candidate could be Reggie Northrup who is a pending free agent from the Alouettes. He only got into 4 games near the end of the season but had 22 tackles. 6'1", 231 lbs, 24 years old. 281 tackles in 49 games at FSU.

    Bond will be back in the CFL and he may command the highest American OL salary in the league. Any team with a bad OL will be willing to pay out the wazoo for him. I believe he will be playing tackle next year as well... just a feeling.

    It was an elbow/triceps injury. He got surgery. He should be back to full health but you never know, especially with his age. He will be seeking top dollar as well.

    No, Stanley will be a top pairing guy for the Moose, at least for the year until he joins the Jets for the rest of his career.

    Stanley's ceiling may be debatable but there's no doubt he will be in the system for a significant amount of time.

    Not sure its fair to call him a defensive dman. He is a 30-40 point guy who might hit 45-50 in his prime. Ryan Suter is a good comparable.

    Connor would need to be better in every category. Save pct, GAA, wins, shutouts. He could maybe get away with fewer wins if he is ahead in the other three categories. He's got a shot but its still Vasilevskiy in a unanimous vote right now.

    Of course it is preferable to play the hand you like. But if one player is better than the other, you play the better player regardless of hand.

    You learn how to do that when you're 12 years old. Every defencemen at the pro level has played both sides.

    The nonstop fixation with the side defencemen play on is one of the most baffling things about hockey fans. It really doesn't matter that much. Play the better player.
