This is all part part of the negotiation process. Patience. I'm well aware how negotiations work, but being a rebuilding team, a 39 year old QB come training camp needs us a hell of a lot more than we need it. The money can better be used elsewhere.

You know, that feeling we had with Brian Clark, Richard Karikari, Greg Carr, and Marcellus Bowman where we were given every reason to believe a signing was coming soon and time kept on dragging on and on with new news until a press release came out from a different team saying they had signed the player in question? Not that losing out on Henry would be a crushing blow with Willy still due to hit free agency, but it would still suck in terms of optics for the same thing to repeat itself.

Not a big fan of this. Granted Kito's time here has been a bit of a let down but I'm not particularly a fan of giving up a young non import for an aging import. I'd hate (and wouldn't be surprised to see) Kito do well with the system that B.C. has and Lulay throwing him the rock.

Sources say McManus is a big supporter of the Saskatchewan backup, believing him to be more physically gifted than Collaros and a more "pure" quarterback, even though Willy is mostly untested in his pro career." Hard to argue with the results. Hell he made Kerry Joseph look like a damn good QB. That in itself should count for something.

If he makes the Chiefs I think it would be a great fit. He fits the mold of what a slot receiver is in the NFL these days and with how the Chiefs and Alex Smith run their offense, if given a legit chance I wouldn't be surprised to see him do reasonably well for himself.

Not really sure why people would be offended or surprised for that matter with Collaros' choice to go to Hamilton. Their coach has a proven track record and is a great offensive mind, and their team is ready to contend for a championship right now. It would have been an easy choice for me as well if I was in his shoes.

So there you go. We were never really in it. You can put the tin foil hats away now folks. Nothing Walters could have done.
