based on Lapo's offense, Smith and Dressler here, and a quality OL, I think Durant would do really well right now and could walk in and take over immediately, plug n play. And I say that as a guy who has NEVER liked Durant at all....ever........but he'd be a step above Nichols for sure.

what if the defense isn't giving you the deep ball? What if the defense takes that away and only allows you the dink-n-dunk underneath? What if not going deep means a lot less turnovers, potentially, and that's the reason Nichols has been able to play (mostly) mistake-free football and allow us to win the turnover battle pretty handily? Again, just "What If"'s..........

The water and (guessing here) the land north of, say, Dauphin (for arguments sake) isn't as conducive to growing as it is in Alberta, where there is great farmland all over the province. North of Winnipeg is good cattle country, for sure, but it's not a LOT of great crop land. Manitoba's crop land is mostly south of the #1......mostly..........

Just as a quick reference, when ratings come out, generally what's listed is 12+. So that's Males and Females older than 12 years old. For a lot of media, that's a useless generalization. CFL and TSN are only really concerned with M18-49, and I couldn't tell you how that's doing...

I just can't bring myself to talk any kind of trash going into Labour Day, when considering our record over the past decade. Ugh. I fully expect a loss every year, as with any game in McMahon, regardless of our record or theirs.....the Gods just hate us in these situations, for whatever reason.

What's going to tell me a lot is how they respond to a loss. As has been said on this site over and over, this team is driven by momentum, both good and bad. Right now they're riding a wave...but they can't possibly win out the rest of the season. At some point they're going to lose a game. How do they respond to that? That's really what I'd like to know (although, if they wanted to win out the season and make it a moo point, then I'm cool with that, too...)
