Noeller

the son of Arland Bruce has signed with the LOLks.......

that is disgusting...... do not celebrate 2nd place.

this worried me a lot....

Even if they do land him, I can't help but feel it'll go the way all things go when they're this hyped up by the Jays/Leafs/SNet/TSN...... it'll be hyped up as the greatest thing to ever happen........aaaand then a huge bust. Like he gets injured and doesn't end up having much impact at all. Maybe it's just all the years of being let down by stuff like this, but can't shake that feeling...

oooof... it got dark in here all of a sudden....

' "This is where the dicks hang out"

well that is HOT and spicy take!! Whew!!

he did, indeed.... and another Winnipeg Rock radio icon in the PMs...... they really don't care too much about the Country music genre over there. It's more about "entertainment", which is fine.... regardless, nobody's keeping up with QX. They just destroy everyone. I'm not sure how the other ones are even staying afloat, with (among) the lowest ratings in the city...

This. Never said they were smart.

apparently BLM said this morning that he and Milanovich didn't get along at first, but started to see eye to eye as they got to know each other better. Says he still wants to be in Hamilton next year......... so we'll see....?

former MOP? Maybe West Div Nom......

I had been thinking to myself that a silver lining in all this "we made Faj look like an all star" nonsense was that maybe Montreal would be stupid enough to believe it and $$ treat him like one $$.... this is hilarious and the best thing that could have happened to every other team in the league.

it took me a good week to get over the loss... the depression was very real. But I'm ramping up for next year..... as JCon mentioned, I'm getting ready for FA and the CIS Draft.... then Rookie Camp and Full TC. Can't freaking wait...

as expected....

has to be Milanovich....anything else would be really strange.

that time JBR said there was going to be a major shake-up with the TiCats front office..............

to me that song, and especially the intro with the cowbell, is synonymous with a series of Lotto 6/49 ads that used to run in the 90s/00s..... that's definitely showing my (relative) youth a bit, as I don't know that I'd ever actually heard the full song until I worked for a quasi-Classic Rock station in the mid 00s....

that's a guy you love to have around... both sides wanted that done, and they all made it work. Love to see it.

I don't even think they were CTDs at that point. When they were coming out of UofM ( they were THE campus band at the time), they were Bad Brad Roberts and the St James Rhythm Pigs (one of the all time great band names) before changing to CTDs sometime around 1991 maybe?? Somewhere around there. After them, in terms of that sort of Pop Rock world, it was The Weakerthans. There's been some others, but that genre of music has little to no financial success so most who are starting up now, go the "Country" route because it's slightly more profitable. Even CTDs member Murray Pulver joined Doc Walker to do the country thing for awhile before retiring from road life. I think there's still a decent indie rock scene in the city, but I don't know a lot about that world. I know that Don Amero, David James, and the Petric brothers (Tom and Jay), have all had a lot of national success on the country charts. Desiree Dorion, Jade Turner, Sean Taylor, Kendra Kvemshagen (understandably, she just goes by Kendra Kay), and Quentin Blair have all been relatively successful regionally. Personally, I'm a massive fan of Foster Martin Band, who have just recently reunited with lead singer and primary songwriter Ray Martin, and are booking gigs again. I haven't seen them live in nearly 20 years and I swear when I finally move home, one of the first things I do will be to check out their show.

As my buddy Dave has mentioned.... It's time to get Younger at DC.......
