You mean putting a true Defensive Lineman on the D-Line instead of a Defensive Back or Linebacker? LOL, yeah basically. Etch played guys out of position that were too small & were overpowered at the LOS. Or didn't have great football strategies like failing to account for every gap as all other DC's would do.

Okay, great news that the announcement has been made & we have a quality DC in place with Hall. Now the hiring of defensive coaches begin.I like Hall's idea of putting players into position to be successful which wasn't the case before.

We don't know who the Bombers are targeting in FA so no one can really say for sure that we won't go after Dressler or Green

I read Sears wants to snap up as many of the laid off employees as possible. With 16 weeks of severance coming & Sears probably snapping them up it may not be as bad as people think.

They could but really considering his body of work in a Bomber uniform is basically one half of football as a starter before getting hurt he's really a question mark. Who is going to spend money on a player like that?

NFL OT rules suck... How can they have a championship game & not allow the Packers to take the field because Seattle scored a touchdown?? If GB doesn't score 7 then it's game over. To not give Green Bay another chance to score just leaves me as a fan with a hollow feeling. Happy for Seattle as I'm a fan but really.

I remember when Cleveland drafted Trent Richardson in the first round & former Browns great Jim Brown said publicly that he hated the pick & didn't think Richardson was that good. Heart says Packers but I think the Seahawks are too strong. The Cowboys defensive backfield can't be mentioned with Seattle. The Seahawks D may be one of the best ever. Duressler is still a great receiver. He came back after his NFL stint & then Durant got hurt. You bet I'd sign him!

Stamps still has some gas in the tank. Like someone said, the Esks decided that every third pass this year would be thrown to Adarius Bowman instead of spreading it out more among the other receivers so it's not Fred Stamps fault. He could be a thousand yard receiver.

The only difference between Calgary & say us... is the way the Stampeders draft players. Their record since Huff arrived in 2008 & before that with Jim Barker back to 2005 has been exceptional. It seems they find one or two starters every year out of the CIS & NCAA. Or... they have the assets to trade away a starter for a top draft pick. Pretty obvious they put a lot of time, effort & resources into the CFL Draft & every year they just keep adding to the treasure trove they have now. I think the Bombers International players are as good as a lot of other CFL teams, it's the Canadian content that is wanting. If we have two or 3 good drafts we'll start making strides.

Been to Target twice here in Calgary. No selection. Shelves empty. High prices. Good riddance. After the second foray, about a year ago I never went back.

We knew Desjardins AND Mack were bad. And we knew Gary Etcheverry would be a single season disaster. Teams should talk to us. We'd set them straight.
