The oldtimers on this board will remember the scouting report on Soviet goalie Vladislav Tretiak going into the 1972 Summit Series. That he flopped too much & had a vulnerable high glove hand. Scouting report went on to say that he isn't good enough to be an NHL goaltender & that Canada's pros will pump tons of goals by him. That, based on one game they saw Tretiak play.... the night before he got married. Who were these scouts? Why Toronto Maple Leaf scouts, of course. My point? Matthews already beat corners in the Super Bowl. Sometimes scouts don't know squat.

I'll reserve judgement until I see it myself. To be fair from his POV he has had to take a lot of flak and @#$%talk these past two weeks regarding "Deflategate" from nearly everyone not residing in the greater Boston area. To each his own. Got a chance to see what you were talking about. From what I saw the NBC reporter brought up deflategate first and essentially baited him into responding. Kraft's answer was fine to me, didn't get carried away and kept it short and sweet. His podium comments did reference 9/11 which I would say were a bit over the top (but not much different from the Seahawks a couple of weeks ago comparing their playoff win to the struggle Martin Luther King went through). Other than that I thought Kraft did alright. If he was rubbing it in it was maybe in that glance he shared with Goodell for about a second or two when he received the Lombardi trophy. And that doesn't bother me in the slightest. I admit I probably have my Pats coloured glasses on when it comes to Kraft. But in all fairness you may have your own shades on, since I did see it mentioned on another thread you are a Seahawks fan. Anyone But The Patriots was my mantra. Oh well...

Derrell Bevell the OC should be fired. All that work down the drain because of his stupidity. As Kavis Reed said, there has to be consequences. Players are expected to be accountable so should coaches when they screw up.

I wonder if Hawks OC Darrell Bevell will be shown the door? Pete Carroll did his best to cover up for him in the post game interview but it didn't sound too convincing. Someone has to wear the horns for losing like that. I think Bevell gets fired.

Hey GT, nice to see you. They burned a lot of bridges with posters that are here now that used to be there. I'd say a good percentage of us here are banned from there. They have a mod who has single handedly killed that site as well. Colin could have done more to save OB like booting out that mod but he didn't get involved & it is dying. I think it's sad but things change. I also think having three Bomber fan sites is too much & at least one has to go. Where's Grumpy Old Man?
