  1. Where would he go? The clusterfuck in Saskatchewan? To a sinking organization in Toronto to be the next lap dog for Ray & never see the field? To Montreal where a contract to Jim Popp means absolutely nothing & be stuck behind Kevin Glenn & Rakeem Cato?? Teams are set at qb in Ottawa, Calgary, BC, Edmonton & Hamilton. Sure just walk away... to nothing.
  2. I think people on the whole are lazier than they used to be. If there's any difficulty getting to a game they'll just stay home & watch it on their tv screens. What have we heard about the Argo crowds? First game it was too hot, then another game there was the Grand Prix & how difficult it was to get to BMO Field, another game it was a Blue Jays game & the Tragically Hip concert going on. Same with the Lower Mainland. My son has lived in both the Lower Mainland & now Victoria. I've been to the West Coast quite regularily. The excuses I've heard range from the difficulty getting to & from BC Place, high single game day ticket prices, the 2 to 3,000 Seahawks season ticket holders in the Lower Mainland to nobody cares about the CFL...
  3. That's what Tracker is referring to. Renegotiate his contract down to where it should be based on starts & performance or get cut & takes his chances elsewhere. My understanding is that once a player is cut his contract is no longer valid. he has to sign a new deal & it could be for a lot less than a renegotiated one.
  4. 18,000? That's a great crowd. I think they're lucky to draw 13,000.
  5. I bought my 50 inch rear projection television from Visions. What a sucker I was....
  6. My 32 inch Sharp LED was $280 at Best Buy. My 50 inch rear projection Panasonic was $2,000 in 2006. We still have a 21 inch Sony TV black box in our bedroom that we bought used in 1994. It still works great.
  7. Ottawa's defense is their Achilles Heel. Campbell benched Pruneau one of their best players for shock value. Didn't work.
  8. Ottawa should take advantage of that BC timeout.
  9. The rules now are so stupid. I've seen qbs get head shots helmet to helmet not called & then there's this.
  10. Just watching Harris. What. A. Quarterback. Wow. He has developed into one of the best I've seen in years. The RedBlacks are a totally different team with him playing rather than Burris.
  11. I certainly would have a ton of respect for Willy if he did.
  12. Oh yeah, I heard & felt a pop in my knee & I knew. Sounded like cracking a knuckle.
  13. Probably the level of pain I would say. I was able to walk after I was injured & actually after a few minutes the pain subsided a lot to the point of being something I could manage. But my leg just wouldn't work properly so I knew something was wrong. Drove myself to the hospital to get checked out. Turned out I tore every major ligament in my knee & had three surgeries later in the space of a year & a half. Matthew Gianetti just reported Desjardins is fine so he's lucky.
  14. Blood clot? What??? I think his knee is seriously injured. Like a torn ACL.I had that exact injury years ago & when I saw the replay I just wanted to puke. Hope he's okay.
  15. And Calgary has the Flames. Regina has the Pats which Rod does pbp for. I'm sure he wishes he could work NHL games. So even more jealousy.
  16. This guy was one of the best at his position in Calgary. Game in & game out. He had a pick 6 last game. Now, is his career over? Just goes to show no matter how big your contract is in the CFL it isn't guaranteed & for an older & more expensive veteran like Raymond it can be over so fast. I admit I'm a big fan of Raymond. He made some huge plays when he was a Stampeder. Always timely & a lot of times key tackles, fumble recoveries & picks to win games.
  17. I agree. The Argos move to BMO has been disastrous & the excuses... Oh the excuses. I hate what they've done to BC Place with those curtains. It looks claustrophobic like they play in a closet on tv. The other thing about BC Place is we were in Vancouver last year & thought about going to a game. But you can't drive to the game in Vancouver like you can in Calgary & find a place to park nearby. People have to rely on public transit to get there & back. That may be one of the reasons it's always a challenge to get fans to go to a game at BC Place. The other thing are ticket prices. Single game day prices are expensive in BC. I'm sure it's the same in Toronto.
  18. What just happened on the gun snap is why I wish we'd have offenses where the qb also takes the ball on a pass or run play from under center. Instead of always just gun.
  19. I have a 1 year old 32 inch Sharp LED tv in the living room which I'm very happy with. I have a ten year old rear projection Panasonic tv in the rec room downstairs. It was a mistake buying rear projection as I've had to spend big bucks the past decade replacing those damned bulbs. But rear projection is old technology & no longer sold & I can see why, lol! The picture quality in both tvs are very good. At some point I'll sell the Panasonic. I think if you stick with the major brands & the technology available you'll be fine. I'd go for the best deal.
  20. I think most fans would be okay with it. Didn't Kelly try to restructure when LeFors was out with an injury? I think that was a big part of the negative reaction that happened. It looked like Kelly was kicking LeFors when he was down.
  21. Yeah, I admit that I was one of the posters that really pumped Murphy's tires here & it looks like I was totally wrong about the guy. I can say that I've done a total 180 about Murphy. Or is it 360??? After the way he's handled things as Asst GM in Saskatchewan he's shown he can't take over a team as the guy in charge. I wouldn't want him even near the Bombers in any capacity. Looks like John Hufnagel kept him reigned in & had success in Calgary with Huff calling the shots. Murphy has had a terrible year starting with the brutal job he did with the CFL Draft.
  22. If Harris picks up where he left off before his injury I just can't see BC beating Ottawa. Harris has shown he can not only play well but dominate at the qb position. Not entirely sold on Jennings as an elite qb just yet. Still makes some throws an experienced qb wouldn't. However, if he can knock Ottawa off at home & plays well then I'll probably start thinking otherwise. Ottawa's defense is very good & Jennings will have his hands full today.
