Do or Die Detailed Half Time Report...
iso_55 replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
One problem....actually a few... Yes there of course is such a thing as rookie mistakes, but there are also mistakes that you simply should just know better as a quarterback playing professional football. The first pick across his body - Inexcusable regardless of experience. He's not an accurate passer, he can't read the defence, and he's starting to get happy feet in the pocket as well now that he's getting acustomed to playing behind out line. It's not about looking like the "second coming of Warren Moon", it's about there being something as a passer, not a runner, that you can build off of, or something that flashes that makes you say as a coach "okay, we can work with this", or develop this, something to that effect. You saw it with Reilly, Willy, and Collaros as they were breaking in. You're not seeing it with Robert Marve. I agree. As a qb, Marve has been told countless times to never throw across his body to the middle of the field as bad things happens when a qb does...yet he did it anyway resulting in an interception. It was a bad decision & one he knew he shouldn't make but he did it anyway. I just didn't see anything in Marve's game to get amped up about as a potential starter down the road & certainly as Willy's backup when he comes back. He can run but his throwing ability isn't anything to get excited about. -
Madani just tweeted he's been released by the 49ers .he has to clear NFL waivers. Lemon is a free agent.I'm not sure if the Stamps are willing to resign him & I know the Bombers pursued him a few weeks ago when he was released by the Steelers. Be interesting to see where he ends up if he comes back to the CFL. https://twitter.com/ArashMadani?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

What I'm suggesting is that Wade is partially to blame for the Bellefeuille disaster. Wade is to blame for the entire mess. He hired Walters. Walters hired our useless scouts & Mike O'Shea. Iso...you starting to sound more and more like Nasty Nate. All you have to do is start using those crazy nicknames and you're there. Please don't get insulting by comparing me to that douchebag. I want this team to win. Nate doesn't because he's a moron. I admit I'm becoming very dissatisfied with this entire regime. I don't think we're much better or further ahead than we were in 2013 & I'm not happy about it as you can probably tell. O'Shea seems as lost as Burke was trying to find the answers but he just handles the situation talking to the media differently.

Good candidates but far from being "can't miss" hires. Both would be first time head coaches and how many times have we seen great coordinators become awful head coaches?? I don't see O'Shea going anywhere. I am increasingly concerned with this management group from Miller on down. Are they really determined to turn this thing around with the Bombers? I'm beginning to doubt it. It all seems to be about being the good guy and pats-on-the-back all around. Neither Miller, Walters or O'Shea appear to have what it takes to make the tough decisions, at least, I can't find any evidence of it. You honestly believe they are NOT trying to turn it around... Like, deliberately not doing all they can? I cant even try to comprehend that assumption. Its beyond any rational thought process.. Of course they want to win as badly as anyone else. The real question is can they? I have my doubts.

It's time for the Riders to start sucking ...

Yes, but a vote of confidence was given because Gary Lawless broke a story that Chamblin would be fired & I think that would've happened. The team panicked & decided not to do it. Chamblin's always been an arrogant guy with a chip on his shoulder. No coach says,"I don't play football. I coach football" is an excuse. Successful head coaches always take responsibility for every aspect of their team. He's blaming everyone but himself. It's over. I'll be shocked if he survives the day. -
Bombers Season Officially over time of death...
iso_55 replied to sportmentary2012's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
So, he comes back & he takes a shot to the knee thanks to our offensive line & he's done again. This time maybe for good. Why risk it with this group? This team is going nowhere. Well, it is going somewhere but it's not forward. The sad part is we can't even sign another qb as a FA out of the NFL or wherever our dutiful scouts find prospects as it seems it takes years to master Marcel's offense. Dominique Davis would seem the next logical man up in the qb line but he has only been here 2 months & MOS would say he's not ready to play which seems unbelievable. -

Do or Die Detailed Half Time Report...
iso_55 replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Maybe Waggoner can throw the ball?Unbelievable. If you hold the first pick you can trade it for assets or make the pick. No offense to Waggoner but we're really handicapped here. We won't be rebuilding our OL with a second round pick.If Waggoner is truly a first round talent, I've got no problem with Walters using it this year in the supplemental draft. So, we grabbed Waggoner & say we finish last or second last. Then have nothing to show for it? We need offensive linemen not linebackers or defensive backs. How does that make us better? It doesn't. Not saying Waggoner isn't a good player but in the big picture with everything we need on offense, I don't believe he was worth a first round pick.I trust Walters assessment on Waggoner. For all we know he could be our starting MLB in a year or two. Or not. What do we need right now? What part of the team has been killing it for years? What do we need the most? A future middle linebacker or an offensive lineman that can block? Unless we are extremely lucky as in fluke we'll never find that player in the second round. I mean, hey... it's taken half a decade to get where we are now with the offensive line, why not stretch it out to a decade? -

Not to rain on your parade, but we can't win with our offence as it stands and we have no idea when Willy will be back or how long he'll be able to stay in once he does. Did you see him hobbling around on crutches yesterday? Man that didn't look good. It appears his leg is messed up bad. Even if Willy could come back, I don't want him to. Let Willy have the off season to completely heal & get strong. -

Which team is more effed? The Bombers or the Riders? Chamblin just screwed over Smith & dumped on him during his TSN interview. -

I don't know if this is true or not but on Riderfans some are saying that Brett Smith refused to go back in after he was pulled in the 2nd half. If so, that's unbelievable. And the Riders are now officially not a football team but a circus. -

Instead of two dead & listless teams that don't care why not just have the 2 fanbases battle each other? We hate them & they hate us. Tell the players & coaches on both teams to stay home. Can we build a Bomber empire that will last forever? Will you be my hero? -

This has to be the end for Chamblin. Especially after pulling Smith. How can this go on any further with him as HC? -

two quick tds by the RedBlacks. I love it. Sorry Duressler. -
At least after he stunk up the joint, we could eat him…… assuming we win one of two against sask…. I figure we'll limp along to the end of the year with who we have. then can the offensive coach, (which solves all our problems according to some people here) …. this gets oshea one more year. we'll still be crappy next year, then Mike will be canned. If we lose both to sask, somebodies leaving involuntarily. that's my (admittedly relatively uniformed ) guess. coaches salaries have to be calculated into what they do as well. paying the fired guy, paying the new guy. ticket sales off. not good. Don't like to say it, but it's Hard to understand why they keep Brohm on the team. other than being a good guy, I can't see the point of keeping him around. Heck, I'm a good guy and can hold a clip board with the best and I would work a lot cheaper than Brohm. It would be nice to supplement my pension and I would be no less effective than Brohm. Can you shoot gophers with a football?

Smith's only crime was throwing an end zone pick when they were in FG range? Is Chamblin kidding???? -
