  1. That's about as bold a prediction as the latest reebok jerseys. Avoiding mistakes has been paramount in the CFL for quite some time now.
  2. The best way to keep your qb clean is to make plays all over the field. Make the defense adjust to what you're doing.
  3. What??? Meant to say "there". Typo on my part. Flames own the Stamps & President Brian Burke's son was gay. Burke is now a huge proponent of welcoming gay players into both hockey dressing rooms & football locker rooms. Cornish mother's a lesbian. He was very vocal in his support of Michael Sam coming out just before the NFL Draft. Of all CFL teams THEY (Stamps) would probably be the most welcoming. Hopefully my post makes sense now. It seems kind of sad to me that this discussion is even happening in this day and age
  4. By hook or by crook just find a way to pick up a win here. These games are very very important if you want to make the playoffs.
  5. So bold and exciting, the kids will be lining up to get into the stadium to watch the team that wears these electric jerseys.
  6. AH! you missed LaPo's coaches' Corner. It's amazing how much that guy learnt since being here. Didn't help them win the game though
  7. Unless Kuale is sending opposing players to the IR he's useless plain and simple.
  8. we were 3-1 with Sears in the lineup and 1-0 with Kromah in the line up... do you have a point you would like to make?
  9. I took Allen early in my fantaseh draft thinking that no matter who the riders used as RB was going to get yards, then Chamblin gave me the finger and benched him for a couple fumbles never to be seen again.
  10. how do you consistently double team a DE that comes from all different areas? would rather see them design some plays to slow down the rush. The OL being able to get a good consistent push for the run game would help that.
  11. Sometimes coaches make mistakes, sometimes they lose sight of the big picture. They won't take a player out because he's not making mistakes when the reality is that they might have a better option despite the other guy not making mistakes. For my money Sears is one of the best defensive player on this team, he just has the bad luck of being hurt a lot, but if he's healthy he can be better than a number of players that they aren't taking off the roster because "they're not playing badly" I like O'Shea overall as a head coach of this team, but he needs to be more proactive making roster changes.
  12. Neg lists are only for players who have never signed a CFL contract before.
  13. Sears is just a play maker. If he's healthy he's the kind of player you make room for. Not liking this attitude from the coaches that they can't take guys off the roster. You can take guys off the roster even if they're playing well because guys like Sears have the ability to be the best guys on the team.
  14. So you got Bombers missing the playoffs then?
  15. With as crap as Burris is playing it really looks good on him spending all that money and strutting around like some kind of brilliant GM when he signed him. Seems pretty obvious to me that Ottawa is going to be the last place team in the CFL this year. Good thing they're developing a qb that can lead them long term.
  16. that 6-2 record is nothing but smoke and mirrors.
  17. I think the offense works better when there's two guys rather than just having to rely on one. I don't think either is good enough to be the whole ******* show like Stegall could do, but when you give Willy multple options it makes everything better.
  18. Calling Vega a healthy scratch... man oh man has Penton not been paying attention? Vega hasn't been healthy for a long time. What he should say is "Fraser played well enough we don't need to trot out a one legged Vega"
  19. I just do not understand, with so many corporate head quarters in Toronto how can they not find an owner who actually gives a **** about that franchise?
  20. Let's be honest with ourselves here, we needed Moore on this team. If we went into the year with just Denmark as a top option we'd be in trouble. I like Denmark, but he's not a #1 guy, Moore adds balance to that. Just a shame he has missed some games here.
  21. So the Bombers get Argo jerseys and the stamps get Ottawa Jerseys? Come on Reebok, get your **** together.
  22. So was Goltz. There is no comparison between the two guys. Yeah Goltz has actually started games in the CFL.
  23. He was at practice and took a few snaps. Durant is tough as nails and I'm pretty sure he'll be starting in the LDC. Doesn't take much to turn around and hand the ball off anyway. and speaking of that... what's the runningback situation over there for the upcoming game? Who's in and who's out? We'll probably hear more closer to the game. Pretty sure Will Ford will be starting. Just a question as to who will back him up. Messam was at full back last game before he got injured, so I could see them trying that again and putting Allen or Toston behind Ford. yeah I wanna know now though so I can manage my fantaseh roster accordingly.
  24. I think it will take O'Shea 3-4 more losses until he sees the need for improvement on the D-line, right now he's delusional. D-Line is not a major concern for the Bombers from where I'm sitting. O-line and National depth would be more pressing issues. Well no **** but I don't see any of those types available. DL hasn't been good enough lately. They have struggled to generate pressure in the last few games from the defensive line and that is a problem. Can't be blitzing every down, need to be able to get pressure from your 4 up front and the Bombers have had issues with that, especially with Vega limping around. It's not the biggest issue, but it is something they could use an improvement on and Hall is a guy who is available. I hear you. Sometimes you have to take what is available and work on more pressing needs later. I disagree with this approach as the Bombers, imo, won't win the Grey Cup this year so why not make sure money and draft picks are in place to fix the areas I mentioned? Fix the o-line with a free agent or a key draft pick or two and have a run at the Grey Cup in 2016 (or 2015 if things going really well). It's the CFL, you just need to make the playoffs and win 3 games in a row at most, most teams can do that. Plus there are no guaranteed contracts so if you have too much money in one place and need it for somewhere else it's easy to simply release a player. Take the improvements where you can get them, as long as you're not trading away your picks and nationals there is no downside.
  25. Good luck with that. The Roughriders this year have a mean and nasty defence and absolutely savage offensive line. Should the Riders stay healthy they have a very good chance at repeating as champs. If not, they will still be in the mix. Durant needs to be better than he has been for that to happen. Now maybe getting Dressler back helps his cause but you won't win a championship relying as heavily on the run as the Riders have been.
