Honestly given the track record this team has DB is the last place I worry about losing guys. It's been star after star this management group has brought in at that position.

I would keep the faith in Kyle Walters. They kept things together longer than I get the sense he would have preferred just because of the easily excused narrow losses in the grey cups and big win totals. They started making some moves last offseason and some came about during the season because of the way things always go. I'd be inclined to think our GM knows what's up and will make some of the hard decisions.

Like I said, you need an offense to do their share. That first argos game, the offense fumbled a bunch in scoring range and had that dodgey third down spot... and the defense was still good enough in that game it took an error the cfl had to admit to for the argos to score enough to win. For the amount of money spent on offense last season their performance throughout the season was nowhere near good enough.

I think prior to that injury the general consensus was bighill needed to be 100% healthy to play at an acceptable level. Dude hasn't really been healthy though. Lotta city miles on that body.

Bombers D was ******* good. Even in the grey cup, but the reality is that you still need an offense to do their share in the CFL to have a hope.

Counterpoint: he was given a chance to develop and did get a chance to make the roster and contribute and nowngrts and NFL look. Player development can look at lot of different ways and just because you have an axe to grind and everything they do is **** doesn't mean you're way is the only way.

All I'm saying is none of us know enough about the internal guys to say whether it's a mistake or not. Key is trusting the people in charge to make the right decisions, like they did with the DC position last offseason.

Not necessarily... hiring outside could wind up being a mistake. The key is the people hiring making the right choice regardless of where they come from... and can we really criticize the coaching hires from this group that much?

On the other hand younger was an inside hire and it worked out pretty well.

Is he though? He's a one dimensional guy... someone like Ceresna yeah he's a dude you can pay an assload for cause he does a lot of things, but Betts? Too easily nullified by a physical game.

That helps (the break down of the categories). My impression is it's a good start and will likely see some tweaking going forward. Some of thso3 categories feel a bit broad for my liking.
