  1. We beat em in Edmonton last fall, why don't we do it again this year? Honestly when I look around the CFL I don't see any team that the Bombers can't beat if they are playing well. Now people are down on them right now because they haven't been playing well, but this weekends game was a step in the right direction regardless of who they were playing, so let's just let the rest of the season play out why not? People act like Edmonton is this monumental challenge but they're only 1 win better than us right now for all the problems Winnipeg has had. Just take care of the ball and move it a bit on offense and see what happens. There's a whole lot of meh teams in the CFL this year, think they call it parity, all it takes is a hot streak, and as the Riders have shown you don't even have to be good to get a hot streak!
  2. As a big time ian wild fanboi I ain't worried.
  3. My implication was ottawa and Winnipeg already, asking about other teams.
  4. And our D has improved a lot since that first game.
  5. Gonna wager heart attack. He was a big old boy when he played.
  6. I said it earlier in the week, some people have flipped to preferring to see Nichols and OShea fail rather than seeing the bombers win. Nichols had a solid game but unless he was perfection out there it's not enough for some.
  7. Ottawa is an up and down team game to game and Edmonton I find gets a tad over rated. They rely on big plays too much to really be a consistent dominant team.
  8. I think that quote likely means more about the improvement in other positions as canadians, but yes Wolitarsky is a beaut, even if he is a phony canadian and I think peterman can be another good one. Given how shitty some of the American receivers are I'd love to see simonise get more chances too.
  9. What other teams feature canadian receivers that regularly get targeted? Calgary I guess but anyone else? Seems like most other teams lean heavily on their Americans.
  10. Assuming Flanders goes in for Harris I am ok there, and I believe we have adequate replacements for demski. I like Peterman a bunch.
  11. The Edmonton D can be had, just a matter of limiting Reilly's bullshit big plays. That game between Edmonton and ottawa today will be a very interesting one. Or it will be a filthy beat down of ottawa, what do I know?
  12. Watching that game how can people really pin it all on Nichols when it's plain as ******* day that lapo calls the worst game ever. Yeah he can draw up a good looking offence but the man has no sense of how to call a game.
  13. Thompkins is a good receiver but seems under used in this offence. He can probably pretty easily be the teams best receiver. Between he and dressler anyway.
  14. The deep one right into his hands? That was not under thrown, Adams even had to reach into it. Problem was he dropped it cause the db was on him. I excusable. Were a few ugly drops on catchable balls again.
  15. Listen, Nichols has never been a great deep ball QB and so far streveler hasn't shown to be phenomenal at it either, so why is our offensive coordinator continually calling those telegraphed deep shots? Why is he calling over complicated plays when he could go to simple plays that this team can execute well? Case in point, one of those ints for a td last game came on a 2nd and 3 situation, we emptied the backfield... when it the qb is struggling why not help him out and use your league best rb and league best OL and smash the ball up the middle? Even if you only get 2 yards you got a 3rd down you can gamble on too. Lapo ain't helping the qbs at all. He sticks to his fancy pants bullshit even if the qb is struggling. Less is more for the offense right now. Stop trying to outsmart every one, just do what they do well and lean on that.
  16. Why is it absurd? You ever watch other teams play and see how much more often they throw intermediate routes? Now watch the Bombers. It's either a short throw or a long bomb. And this is the same as it was when he was here in 2002. Just works a hell of a lot better with Khari Jones and Milt Stegall. The lapolice offence is too predictable and he gets in his own way with playcalling. For example we stopped running the ball last game because they thought Saskatchewan was going to focus on that anyway, so he did the defenses job for them when this team does nothing without a strong running game from Harris. Your qb is in a funk and you put it all on his arm and don't even try and use your best player... that's an OC handicapping his QB.
  17. He had that same high school playbook against Hamilton in his last start and the offense was bad that day too. Fact is that our offensive coordinator is handicapping both of our quarterbacks and the receivers are not doing enough to help either (coincidentally lapo also coaches the receivers) so moral of the story? Fire Lapo already and get an offensive coordinator in here who can call a decent game.
  18. I know but 0fer without Dressler and the offense was putrid in his absence, so what other assumption can we make?
  19. So if the offense actually does anything do we give credit to Lapolice and Nichols for buckling down and working hard over the bye week and fixing the problems, or do we just say "yup, Dressler is the straw stirring the drink for the passing game"?
  20. His default position is "grab em by the *****"
