  1. Guessing it has something to do with targeting QB's below the knee.
  2. Heard Weitz was shortlisted for the John Smith award which goes to one of the top 500 linebackers in Western Europe.
  3. Why the hell does Sask have Patterson throwing the ball 48 times, most of the game in a rain storm?
  4. TSN really doesn't want to explore what happened at the end there and why Dyce is speaking to CFL sideline officials
  5. Crum is really bad. Gotta wonder how long he's #2 there. Adams looked decent last year.
  6. OT is best 2 of 3. Ottawa won 1st OT. Sask won 2nd OT. If you're one of the players do you shake hands with your buddies on the other team for a 3rd time when it ends or just go to the locker room?
  7. Both teams have won this game. What a goddamn mess.
  8. Yeah the dirty hit on a Ottawa QB reaps benefits yet again for Sask.
  9. Refball. We're going to change the name to the CRL.
  10. The penalty if for miming that ref should throw flag.
  11. Another laughable call on review.
  12. That wasn't pass interference when we played Toronto.
  13. Guess Acklin doesn't get paid enough to block.
  14. Case has same averages as returners in this game and Case/Smith have same average on punts as Alford, 1 yard less than Dedmon. Just doesn't look as good to our fans when our team does it I guess.
  15. Sask punter serving up big returns on platter with placement.
  16. If he completely forgot a QB even existed. The coaching that goes on in terms of how you're allowed to contact the QB...the guy would need to have a room temperature Celsius IQ to not realize what he's doing.
  17. That should be an ejection.
  18. They watchlist like 50 centers out of 300 in FBS. I'm not sure a guy making that list 8 years ago counts for anything on a pro football field today.
  19. What do you base this on...when you say coaches should clearly make the opposite decision? Think about it for a second. You haven't even seen Eli play centre in the CFL. Yeah this an appeal to authority but Eli is nothing special even in the roles he's playing. Watch him try to pass protect the edge when they run the 6 OL max protect sets. He can't move laterally at all. He comes in at guard and he's getting beat with strength and inside rips/swims because his feet don't move with him at all. Yeah he can lock onto a run block or support the play side double teams on wide zone looks. I just don't understand what the thinking is that somehow he's going to be a difference maker. Kolankowski is the 3rd guy they've played at C over him and even had Dobson getting reps in pre-season over him. They clearly don't see him as a viable option as anything but a fill-in to get out of a game at centre, likely any spot. I'm kind of surprised Wallace didn't get a shot in Toronto at G because he looks a lot more physically capable in an athletic sense in those heavy set reps he gets. His hips were a little concerning in pre-season getting to his assignments in pass pro by turning rather than firing his feet. But he's had 3 months of reps now.
  20. The directional stuff is necessary though. Every single punter on this side of the border is trying to hit the ball to the numbers and tighter to sideline. If it's not there it's a major fail whether it's a 70 yard kick or a 30 yard one. We basically shouldn't be punting inside the 50 and to me if it's on -50 and 3rd or 5 or less I'm going for it no matter who my punter is. Last 5 games net is 33, 47, 42, 30, 36. Season is 36. Net average for 2024 so far (with adjustment for rouges) Calgary 32 BC 35 Winnipeg 36 Sask 36 Montreal 37 Ottawa 37 Hamilton 37 Toronto 40 Edmonton 40
  21. There's been 3 jobs open up long-term or permanently on the OL in the past season.
  22. The whole league had two years to sign the guy and he came back here on a 3 year deal. Even Jacob Ruby got signed immediately when he was eligible again. I don't see it as a talent evaluation problem in this case. The guy who is biased for Canadian players all of a sudden hates a Canadian player? Gotta get the narratives straight. I mean that's not true. I was just at Vikings camp and half the OL they have in there are in their 30s having bounced around PR's and barely played NFL games.
  23. cfl.ca has all the games in the States if you don't have CBS SN. I just got back from the States. It's basically like how they broadcast the pre-season games that weren't on TSN. Not hard to connect to a smart TV.
  24. Manu has a football lifetime of NFL PR opportunities ahead of him if he doesn't crack the roster. Would be very surprising to see him in the CFL. Remember...there's about 600 PR spots in NFL. 1700 active spots plus injured lists. Lots of room. 3000 guys plus the next thousand waiting by the phone week by week. And Speller was his guy. Couture was his guy. Kendall Randolph is his guy. Liam Dobson is his guy. Geoff Gray is his guy. Eli gets in and isn't even a speed bump in pass pro, can't get his feet going.
