Who knows. Depends how he develops. Dobson wasn't great last year in pass pro and he was a far better prospect. We're hoping for a leap from him this year. Wallace will have to learn how to use his feet and not just try to lean on guys. What I've seen of him on YouTube is all very upright, poor technique, rely on strength/size. Not real good in pass pro at keeping his chest clean...meaning he's not controlling guys with his hands. But he slows guys down and didn't get bullrushed in the MAC. Don't think you have much concern about him in run blocking other than pad level, but that has to improve for him across the board.

And hope we don't really need him this year. But we're thin. Couple injuries and he's either starting or we're playing 3 Americans. Jones strategy is to treat 55% of his roster spots with utter contempt. CFL lists Straker as 5'1 183

And now Pierre and Blackburn both went ahead of him. Cummings from UBC probably will too.

Nah take a look at him on his film tape. He's 6'3 295 and not fat at all. He's a nose in this league. Doesn't look to me like a guy who will need to fix his body at all like some of the recent U of M picks we've made or Wallace this year.

Nice to see him win his gap and get to the ball repeatedly. Motor.

Maybe a bit more versatile but Hergott was way more explosive. Roane would be like a Bennett type pick to me.

Good point. See Brubacher gone now. That's a level of RAW talent you won't see from our picks down. But RAW being the key word. Could be a NFLer, could be nothing and out of football in 2 years. Going to be hard for him against pro OL. He's not just going to run past guys standing straight up like you see on his film. But I have faith in CFL teams to develop pass rushers...honestly one of the easiest skill sets to build in an athletic guy. Be disruptive.

He'll be a pretty significant role player here with Oliviera. Think on O he'll be a lot more useful than Augustine. Augustine is also a guy who could walk away at anytime now.

I mean if you draft Wallace you have a guy who needs to spend 2 years learning how to play at all. I'd rather have coverage for a spot we want to keep Canadian who is an insane athlete.

I might do opposite. OL drops off a cliff after Wallace now IMO....in terms of guys who would be in camp this year. Brubacher is a legit superstar potential guy...and honestly him learning some tricks from Jefferson could be the ticket.
