Nah that's a pull through. The DB is completely out of the play, no idea where the ball is, grabs the arm and pulls himself back level with the receiver. That's one of the most blatant PI's you'll see. Good penalty to take though because they prevented the TD which would have been scored without the PI. Not sure why Kilam felt he had to burn his challenge on it though.

Masoli couldn't move at all when he came in last week. He took the snap, turned his hips and tried to find someone to throw to quick. Never moved off that line on a single snap when he was out there. I wonder if they'd even start him.

Ottawa cut Ethan Jordan. Not sure if he's planning to go back to school but I'd give him some PR time here. Huge potential to be a Gittens/Julien-Grant style guy. Even Demski, would be a good guy to learn some routes from.

And Cooley. Situation is kind of bizarre though. Unless he had some extreme pain going they must have had some indication on initial assessment of the PT's/sideline docs that there is structural issue.

Lawler now 3-11 record in games he's played for other CFL teams. His career record with Nichols, Collaros and Brown....34-8. 6-17 with any other QB's including Streveler.

BLM can basically lob deep balls and hope someone runs under it or lob a 20-30 yard pass horizontally to someone open in the flat and hope they have half a second to make someone miss if the coverage is worried about a deep shot. Cannot attack anything else. His arm is cooked.

There’s no way the OL changes aside from injury. Take out Sterns, play one less American on D, drop Ayers or the returner….all things that happen before the OL changes. Just had 450 yards of offense with basically one half of Streveler in rhythm (never affected by rush on a drop back) and all but one drive with a guy who was playing against the Bisons 8 months ago at tailback. We can live without edge rush. OL is priority 1000%.

Vaughters was very meh vs the pass. Think we'll need a little more something off that edge with Jefferson playing his game. If Vaughters can't do more than Garbutt....have to put someone else in there or get some reps to someone else like Bailey to find a spark. Bonds got victimized twice and Parker once...that was like 2/3rds of Rourke's passing yards on those three plays.

Vanterpool in for Dobson is a major upgrade up front too. Vanterpool would be my player of the game. Here's a stat for you: Peterson averaged 130 yards per game in his last 2 years of U Sports. 130 yards rushing in his first CFL game. Took a few more carries to get there than it did in U Sports...but still.
