The Hamilton game Streveler started is what scares me. Didn't throw a pass over 10 yards and didn't call any QB runs or option until deep into the 3rd quarter. It's like he almost went we see what you've done, now let's see if you can play QB the way I like my QB to play rather than using Streveler's ability to run that option type offense.

Wolitarsky 6'3 220 Simonise 6'5 200. Have only made big catches when opportunity given.

Streveler is a weapon. 300 yards of offense just from his arm and legs is no problem for him. Then you have Harris and Demski, Lafrance/Flanders running. I'm not sure Lapo is the right OC for that style of offense though with a running QB, some option, tons of playaction. He defaults to drop back passing. Did it in Streveler's 3rd start, doing it to Nichols every week in the 2nd half.

Or just tell Lapo that he needs to run Streveler more as a change of pace. Ball control offense wins that game tonight easy, control the clock, score one TD in the 2nd half and a couple FG's and you win.

I'm 100% uncomfortable with Nichols as our QB if it doesn't turn around for the rest of the season to the point where they miss the playoffs. That basically means they can't win 2 more games in half a season. Whether it's Streveler or someone else the change needs to be made at that point. I'd assume if this skid continues through this month it'll happen even sooner.

Only if he starts throwing for 300 a game and they cancel the playoffs this season for Trump's World War 3. If things continue as they have for 8 weeks now, no chance he's here next season.

Buck. I bet they give him playcalling if they don't turn it around next week. Might keep Lapo around to gameplan and coach receivers. Have a bye after Banjo Bowl.

You might want to take your own advice on reading. He's talking after the season if they miss the playoffs. Do you really think Nichols will be the QB next season if they miss the playoffs?

Routinely gain 5 or more yards on net punting almost every week. Best in the league.

If we don't want Nichols after this season no one else will on this contract. Look at Collaros. I don't know how we unloaded Willy.

Morgan literally had him halfway to the turf when he was chucked off by a 2 hand shove in the back.

Lapo loves the 40 yard throw for a 6 yard gain. If we're going to give the QB that degree of difficulty at least make it down the seam. Did it to Khari too, can remember a couple Adrion Smith pick sixes on that same throw.

We got rid of Kenny Ploen. Bring him back, he won games and has tons of experience! Gotta judge it more on what the players offer. Sure experience counts, but when it's a struggle to hit 200 yards passing week to week there's some big problems. Hell we ran for more than we passed for, should be easy to hit some passes with that running game and all the attention it takes from the D.

Block in the back on Morgan as he's halfway to getting the returner onto the turf. How they missed that, I don't know. 3 officials should be looking right at it.

Fogg is pretty good on punts. Might be better if he was the extra DB and didn't play every snap on D. I don't think he's all about catching it and going up field, we run more reverses and trick plays on returns than anyone. I'd get Simonise on kickoffs, he was a terror for the Dinos on them.

Lapo is on thinner ice IMO. I expect if next week goes anything like every game Nichols has started this season against anyone but the Argos he's going to lose playcalling if not get fired outright.

And so far they catch the damn ball. Wolitarsky needs a bigger role and the others need any role because they've only made plays when given the chance.

Almost as absurd as the Davis TD INT in Calgary. This offense, whether it's Nichols reads, Lapo's calls or combo of both, tries way too hard to challenge the width of the field and not enough to challenge the depth. Just too easy to defend. Harris breaking tackles and getting loose for big runs is the only positive, Demski the odd time too.

The reality of this team is that the D is fine until the offense completely shuts down and goes 2 and out repeatedly and then it craters. Even tonight the O went 3 2 and outs in a row in the 4th Q and the D got them back on the field twice, Rider TD on the 3rd drive. O has to do something. Even put together 3-4 first downs and flip field position. D had two big stops on the Riders deep in their end in the second half and we only got FG's out of those. Need at least one TD, hopefully 2. I don't know how the D gets blamed for this. Opposing offenses are going to make some plays, it's the bloody CFL. There aren't many 10-7 games up here.

His 2nd half stats this season are absurdly poor. First half are average. For interest sake, Nichols has now posted 3 games of net offense worse than Streveler's worst against Hamilton this season, including his own start at home vs Hamilton. Combination of Lapo, lack of reliable receivers and Nichols struggles = disaster. Just imagine if Harris gets injured, how terrible this offense would be.

Who's playing RT for us next week? Better not be anyone who was on the field to finish the game today.

Drafting quality starters? What's goofy about the drafting?

All of their big plays aside from the Thigpen TD came on max protection with both Bighill and JSK blitzing. 2 and outs start, whole team craters. D played fine when we had a reasonable offense. More worried about figuring out how to make that offense consistent. Shouldn't be impossible. Just over 100 yards in offense in the 2nd half. Can't expect the D to hold a 3 point lead for an entire half with basically no run support.

Banjo Bowl is must win. Lose it, and you're an Eastern Division team for the rest of 2018 and need to do enough to hold off BC.

Hard to believe in all of America the 3 mostly useless but occasionally spectacular import receivers we dressed today were the best we could find. Horrible. Did anyone of them catch half their targets? Why can't we use Simonise and Petermann at all? It's reaching the point where they couldn't be worse.
