  1. Wilson actually played quite a bit. I'll rewatch the game tomorrow but by my eye Wild didn't play many more snaps than he did with JSK in there as per the usual line-up, but he played more behind 40 fronts than usual as the Bombers didn't run much 30 front against the Rider run heavy O.
  2. Yes but the RTP rules are all based on the QB being in the pocket. Bridge scrambles for about the entire width of the field all together. That's why that hit would never be penalized as late, if Bridge remained in the pocket that hit is late regardless of where the contact is on his body. On that play he's a runner, sure he can still throw because he hadn't crossed the line of scrimmage but he had lost the extra QB protection from the scramble. The head contact is a penalty on any ball carrier.
  3. Those are the plays that can be booth reviewed along with called offside penalties to determine which team moved first. O'Shea could have challenged it.
  4. The CFL has always been shy about judging intent. They need to. Most other sports do. Hockey does, match penalty. I'd kick a guy out for any blatant intent to injure. Whether it's a head shot or a dirty late or low tackle, hits out of bounds etc. Edem's hit on Wolitarsky late, low and out of bounds towards the end of the first half would fit the criteria for me.
  5. The weird thing was they called it a lateral and then changed it after. Probably hoping the Bombers would recover so it would be autoreviewed. I don't know how they can call it an incomplete forward pass 20 seconds after. The ref has eidetic memory and had his own replay in his head?
  6. Good thing they have replay. Need to use it for more than turnovers. We got jobbed on that lateral that would have been a 20 yard loss. Replay would have had the Riders punting from their endzone.
  7. 6 defensive penalties on both teams in the whole game and 2 of them on back to back plays on the Rider drive after the Bombers got up two scores to put them on the one-yard line. No special teams penalties in the entire game. Favourable reffing for Sask, great we could overcome that.
  8. Agreed. Liked how they used Streveler, could have done it a bit more in the first half. He's such a weapon and he opens up space for Harris. Sask clearly was on edge whenever he was out there.
  9. Disagree it was cheap. Should have been 15. But they missed it because it was a marginal hit on a runner. Jeffcoat didn't launch himself. He went up shoulder to shoulder and Bridge's head dropped when he chucked the ball. There's no intent, they all need to protect their damn heads though. That hit is as dangerous for the hitter as the guy being hit, wish guys would tackles with their arms and hit/tackle at the waist.
  10. He's had some moments but unless he takes a pay cut Petermann is a cheaper version of him, and a better receiver. We'd lose the running between the tackles piece but Demski is only great at that when he has a lot of room.
  11. If it happened to Nichols it would be a penalty because he'd be in the pocket. Your QB can't run around the field 60 yards and then complain about getting hit on that play.
  12. #footballgods Riders got away with a lot of holding, a brutal late hit out of bounds on Wolitarsky, and a free touchdown on two phantom PI's.
  13. Did TSN really make a Rememberance Day logo with their CFL on TSN logo embedded in a poppy field? Super tacky. Couldn't just leave the CFL on TSN logo out of it?
  14. Guy was the king of excuses. Every off-season he'd train with some kicking guru and have it all figured out and then he'd come in and hit 70% of his kicks again.
  15. Everyone spends the same on players, just depends on how much they want to deplete the rest of their roster to make it happen. They certainly won't have a veteran backup unless Lulay is going to play for peanuts.
