  1. Hebert with a real dirty low hit on Demski out of bounds. Can't believe they never call those in the game. What percentage of suspensions/fines aren't even called penalties?
  2. Need to make tackles. Nichols accuracy is brutal tonight. Wide-open receivers having to jump their full vertical or hit the turf to catch almost every ball.
  3. Wild is basically part of the DL rotation right now. They've run a ton of 30 front against passing downs in the last few weeks and he comes in.
  4. Stafford was signed by the Bombers prior to 2017 and cut at the end of training camp. Never played a game. Gurley came here, Kevin Elliott went to Hamilton, Vidal Hazelton went to Edmonton.
  5. Stafford was off-season. If you're talking free agents they've probably relied on that way too much and have stunk at bringing in impact imports throughout the roster.
  6. Turned a corner in 2016 and then got hurt again last year vs BC and has looked like **** since on any ball in traffic. This regime really needs to find a slot receiver. Wolitarsky might just be the guy, but brutal that we went into this season with Dressler and Bowman as our slot options, with Demski playing the hybrid.
  7. Likewise, you're on a fan message board FFS. Soooo much credibility posting here. All anyone knows about you is that who you say you are, which could be true or could be completely bunk. Don't attack anyone else on their credibility.
  8. If we are going to add, and likely go over the cap, I'd rather trade for someone who has been playing. Too much risk pulling someone in at this point who hasn't played in a very long time and really hasn't played meaningfully in even longer than when he was last on a roster.
  9. Good luck to him moving from the gym to -10 celsius. Saw what happened to Plesius here signed out of the gym, 3rd kick cover and he was down for half a season.
  10. Based on what? Who knows if he was even interested in being here? Too many assumptions to run down the regime. Run them down on a lot better counts.
  11. Knowing nothing about Matthews who hasn't been on a roster for about a year. We'll see if he can play or not with a half dozen games left for any team. It's not like signing a guy who played this year or even went to training camp this year. If he wanted $15,000/game for the last 4 weeks would you give him that? Calgary is desperate. Yes the Bombers should probably be too, but I don't know how you integrate that guy into a team this late in a way that lets him make an impact. He'll be one hell of a special teamer from his time in the NFL anyway.
  12. Maybe. He's not exactly going to be ready to play with 4-7 games left. Who knows what he wanted for money? He's also a free agent. He was god-awful the last season he played here. He could be a difference-maker, or he could play one game and spend the rest of the season standing on the sideline trying to get into CFL/game shape.
  13. Who did? Can only recall it being brought up on message boards. Can't find any media related to Matthews and the Bombers since 2015.
  14. The Bombers almost recovered two kickoffs in Edmonton kicking into the wind because their returner was standing at the 5 waiting for the ball, which came down at the 30. That's pretty brutal coaching.
  15. It's pretty rare to add anyone impactful mid-season. The only thing I'd trade for is maybe a defensive lineman if Jeffcoat and Corney aren't likely to return. They are really thin for Canadians on DL, but I wouldn't deal anything higher than a 4th round pick. This team is really unlikely to go on a run with the way Nichols is playing.
  16. The biggest problem with the scheme has been the predictability of the blitzes. He’s always sending JSK and Bighill straight ahead. In recent weeks they’ve been sending the SAM more and some DB’s, running more 30 fronts with Wild in there on passing downs, looping guys and making it tough for QBs to scramble out of the pocket. The whole game is being unpredictable and not letting QBs get comfortable.
  17. Hard to get stats when you lose yards and end up punting from where you started on a bunch of your possessions too.
  18. The scary part is not being able to sustain drives. Far too many 2 and outs. If they just got 2-3 first downs every drive they would have ended most drives last night in FG range and put up 42-45 points. Also need to cash in on that field position with a couple more TDs. The Bombers have the best starting field position in the league. Early in the season the offense capitalized on it. Starting in the BC loss they’ve really struggled to. The defense and special teams have the ability to be dominant and make big plays when the offense can just even be mildly functional.
