The whole DL is weird. Makes you wonder what needs to hit them in the face to realize how much more consistent the defense has been over the past 3 seasons when they use 7 DL in rotation. We have a guy in Wild who is essentially useless. A DL off the street would be more useful to the roster. There are literally dozens that have been cut by CFL teams this year, including guys the Bombers cut that looked like decent players in pre-season. How awesome would it be to rotate Bryant, Nevis and Johnson inside? Thomas could play 20 snaps a game and be a great player in that role too. Bryant and Johnson can play some end.

Outside of Williams-Lambert and Roosevelt I’d take the rest of our receivers. We have 3 Canadians with star potential, one of them is already one of the top Canadian receivers in the league.

Masoli is basically Michael Bishop who can run. Reilly, BLM, Harris are the only legit starting QB's in the league, and even Harris is pretty inconsistent.

Reilly wasn't going much further east of the Rockies. He's from Kalispell. His dad drives to every home game. BC allowed Edmonton to negotiate with Reilly and made the trade when the deal was reached. This was well-known. Sure you could burn picks and hope I guess. The guy had no interest in being here.

They'll have a ton of leverage. Pretty horrible year for QB's around the league and they are all free agents. They are the only legit starters.

Riders and Bombers will both be on the free agent market looking for a QB next season. Bet Reilly, BLM and Harris are all making over half a million next season.

I think for Lapo the vertical attack means one thing, speed. And that's how he views receivers. That's why he likes a guy like Lankford, that's why he liked McDuffie. He thinks he needs that straight line speed to run a vertical attack. What we really need are guys that can beat a DB, get position and win a ball. Doesn't matter if they run 4.3 or 4.9. Hell look at Wolitarsky winning the ball on post routes and 15 yard dig routes. You don't need guys who run a 4.3 40 to send guys downfield. The best deep threats in this league aren't burners or guys who are 6'5 necessarily. They are guys who can beat a DB and get the ball. Walker, Williams, Jorden, Burnham.
