I mean if you're range is really only 40-45 in you better damn well hit 90% or better. Liegghio's worst 10 yard segment is 30-39 and if he wants to continue kicking balls for a living he needs to fix that. The Bombers are patient to a point but missing two kicks in a game again like that will relegate him to punting again.

Yeah because the previous career long of 52 he set as a rookie was nothing. It's not one game of misadventures. He lost the job last year because he wasn't reliable on converts and he's missed 4 of those this year with overall consistent struggles in that 30-40 range, and has no range to 50. He's the best we have right now, and for me he's well down the list of reasons why the last game was lost, but to suggest that position couldn't be upgraded is to distort reality. Nope. He career long was multiple 52 yarders back to his rookie year.

I don't know how you could argue he doesn't have limitations. He's 50% between 30 and 40 yards, hasn't attempted anything longer than 47. Half of his made kicks are under 30 yards. The 90% figure is nice (82% now) but you can't evoke PAREDES who is 10-12 from 40 plus this season and 5-6 over 50 within that. Liegghio's range is a severe limitation. I don't mind him as a punter but he's incredibly slow at getting the ball to his foot which is always risky. I think if Liegghio wants to last as long as Paredes he probably has to pick one specialty and to my mind that would be punting. But he's really the only option we have right now because the personnel department didn't bring in competition. So it's a limitation they'll have to deal with. Like in the Als game...score a bloody TD and Liegghio doesn't matter.

Other interesting piece is that 2 imports leave the roster and only 1 import is added. They added a global in Machino as the 7th OL. He can sub for anyone. We have 3 globals on the roster. Interested to see if Machino gets some action, otherwise might question why they didn't add an import OL or DL instead.

McCrae and Harrison could be a very interesting platoon if they actually let Harrison cross the line.

So you wanted them to roster Hajrullahu, Castillo and Medlock? Medlock is the reason why those other two guys were gonzo.

Yeah I think Alford could play corner or nickel and do well at either. Arthur Smith would love coaching Canadian football with how he switches formations. Dangerous in American football without the motion and everyone having to reset before snap. Yeah one of the top recruits 5 star coming out of high school. All the tools but no passing skills.

Maybe. Think more hip/core the way he landed from up high. Streveler 4 straight TD drives. Think someone going to roster him. Guy is as confident as any backup and why the hell wouldn't you build a package for him...1st and goal throw him out there.

Yeah maybe. Honestly think he's probably a more willing runner. Always found Hill on carries a little reluctant. Thing about Streveler is too that you know among pros he performs when the games matter most. He did it here. The effort is consistent which is half the battle. I love when Streveler gets into the cadence. He's the only QB tonight I've been able to hear off the sideline mic. I know if I'm the Jets I'm not keeping Flacco and White....but they probably will.

Yeah not really a concern mid-season but I expect they'll have to replace a tackle and a guard, maybe upgrade/replace the other guard.

Streveler just leading scoring drives but also never plays against 1's. I know what I'd do with him though if I were an NFL team. Such a weapon running the ball, then has the ability to pass a bit. Not a guy to leave standing on the sideline, a guy to get out there, even get him running some routes. Christ you run a fly sweep to him and the D has to respect the fact he might pull up and launch a pass.

They do all the time...think about how they bring receivers in to block for max protect. No one has clued in to actually bring in guys who have those skills and the receiver skills...they exist coming out of NCAA and often are just as athletic as the receivers we do bring up here.

I think you sign one of the 6'7 250 guys who runs a 4.7-4.8 that the NFL cuts as a tight end and you have you're CFL version of Kyle Pitts.

Back to high school O’Connor is what the NCAA types dub a “pro-style” QB meaning he has limited mobility. It’ll certainly be an adjustment for that offense. Rourke is a 4.7 40 guy, O’Connor is a 5.2 40 guy. He won’t be running by any DL.

BC has really struggled to run the ball. It's all on the QB. Those same receivers have played on bad teams too.
